I have to confess, i've never seen a pregnant girl under 18 either. Actually, I haven't seen many pregnant people. My next door neighbour is pregnant and she's the first pregnant woman i've seen in about a year or 2

exactly thats not really that young. Im 14 and I see everyone having sex. (not see, but you get it) But when they said secret delivery, I dont think they meant, no one knew she was prego, they meant no one knew she was giving birth. But thats really sad, she could have taken to the clinic or principle or someone. I mean did she actaully think she could flush a new-born down a toliet and no one would know..what would people have thought if she just walked back into the classroom, & magically not prego anymore??

She was so scared, confused and in pain she had to get rid of this baby that she thought was a parasite. She probably walked around all those months forming this deep hatred for the thing that was going to ruin her life. In all that confusion she thought to flush it down the toilet. It wasn't a baby to her, it was a parasite. She was obviously in some form of phsychosis. When she recovers, she probably won't be able to live with herself.

That's whats wrong.

Wanna know what else is wrong? That people think its normal to have sex at 14 years old and that they're 'not that young'. 14 year olds are babies. They are children. As am I, even at 16.

I bet that she'll regret it later. There are several girls at my school (about 900 students) that are pregnant. They are all 17 and under, but they are very mature about it. Think Juno. They decided to carry their babies to term and 4 are keeping them, 2 are giving them up for adoption because they realize they can't take care of them. I dunno. It makes me kinda sick to see somebody that young preggers, but then I figure it's reality. I'm not going to single handedly change to social heirarchy and the various ways of climbing it in middle and high school. These girls made their decisions (with exception for rapes, they didn't choose that), and they have to live with their decision. It may not be the choice I would have made, but they aren't me. I'll treat them just like I would anyone else, maybe hold a door open or something for them, but I don't go out of my way to be super nice or super mean.

My friend Kayla is due in 2 weeks and Courtney gave birth in October. Courtney had a beautiful baby girl named Ashleigh. Kayla doesn't know the gender of her baby, but we're all betting on a boy because it is quite the active little thing! Her boys names are Aaron or Kyle and for girls Jasmine or Robin.
The teachers at my school don't flinch at it, either. My algebra teacher gave Kayla a gift of clothes and diapers just before she left (she's been out for a week just to be sure that she doesn't have the baby in school, margin of error and all that).

None of the girls at my school really try to hide it. I think it's shocking that nobody noticed that she went into labour. I bet somebody noticed that she was preggers- it's hard to hide, even with baggy clothes. But to ignore a birth even when you hear the kid crying? That's odd. And to try and flush it down the toilet. Shows the intelligence level of the girl common sense- wise. Babies don't fit down toilets. She obviously didn't think that through.

A 14-year-old gave birth to a near full-term baby in a bathroom at a junior high school and tried to flush it down the toilet, police told KPRC Local 2.

Baytown police said the student delivered the child at Cedar Bayou Junior High School on Wednesday

Investigators said the baby was born alive, but died when the mother tried to flush it down the toilet.

The case is being treated as a homicide, detectives said.

Officials have not released the girl's condition.

Baytown, Texas, is just to the east of Houston.

This is the second 14-year-old to secretly deliver a child this week. A fetus was found in a trash bin aboard a Continental Airline jet on Sunday.

Investigators determined the fetus was stillborn and the Harris County District Attorney's Office declined to press charges against the mother.

I've seen 9 year olds pregnant. I've honestly SEEN a 9 year old pregnant little girl. She came up to my mom's office to see if she could get welfare to support the baby when her parents kicked her out. A 9 YEAR OLD!? 9 year olds shouldn't even know about sex...or welfare! It just sickened me so much to see her like that. (Btw, she didn't become homeless. The foster system scooped her up.)

Oh my god. That is the most DISGUSTING thing I have ever heard. I can't even *describe* how sick that makes me-- there are no words, no smilies, nothing. Her freaking parents kicked her out? Just... damn. That's horrible.

But the fourteen year old killing her baby is almost as bad. What Jenny said on the last page about sums up what I feel, too, but this is just terrible and depressing. Everything about it.

That's so sad... That girl must've been so alone and confused. She probably wasn't even thinking about what she was doing. And you guys don't know if she was a slut, she could've lived in a really bad neighborhood and been raped. Or date raped. Or her boyfriend could've peer pressured her into it, and if she was so alone that nobody even noticed she was pregnant (mom and dad??), well, you can't expect her to know to say no to that. She's going to feel so bad about this later in life, when it most likely really wasn't even her fault.
