That's so sad. Ridiculously sad. And I'm sure she'll regret it later. She made an awful choice, I don't necessarily mean getting pregnant, because like CheezDoodle said we don't know the back story of how that happened. I mean how she handled it. It was wrong in so many different ways. If she had told someone, that baby could be in a safer environment right now, she didn't even have to keep it. She could have put it up for adoption right after it was born, not kill it! But for what someone said, how could no one know she was pregnant...it's possible. I've seen it on the news, and I think it happened near my town a while ago. Either the mother finds out and she just doesn't show so no one else knows, or the mother doesn't even know herself. I saw this thing on the news, this young lady didn't show at all (although she was slightly overweight) and one day she has this baby that she had no idea was coming. But anyway...this whole situation is terrible. It's really sad that things like this happen.

Ok I think ther should be some kind of law about not havin kids that young but that is really horrible I wouldnt have flushed it I would have raised it I mean who knows what that baby could have done? Maybe that baby was gonna make the cure for cancer but that might be extreme but you get what Im talkin about!

That's so sad... That girl must've been so alone and confused. She probably wasn't even thinking about what she was doing. And you guys don't know if she was a slut, she could've lived in a really bad neighborhood and been raped. Or date raped. Or her boyfriend could've peer pressured her into it, and if she was so alone that nobody even noticed she was pregnant (mom and dad??), well, you can't expect her to know to say no to that. She's going to feel so bad about this later in life, when it most likely really wasn't even her fault.

This is exactly why I'm keeping my thoughts to myself.
This could've been a result of incest,and regardless,that girl had to be scared.
She was still a baby.

I'd like to see you try to enforce that. It's not gonna happen anytime soon.
And unless you were in her shoes,you can't really say how you would act.

yea, i read about this a few days ago... this kinda makes me give up on humanity... its not the fact that she got pregnant at that age... thats actually common in todays world sadly.. also, like cheeze mentioned, no one knows how she got pregnant... but what separates her from other teen moms are that most of them are responsible about what they do about the baby (put it up for adoption, etc etc).. she basically commited a murder and its just terrible... to kill something as vulnerable as a new born... its just wrong

Again, I just want to mention that she obviously wasn't in a right state of mind. She wasn't thinking properly. She just wanted to get rid of the thing that was going to ruin her life.

second, getting on an airplane pregnant (they dont allow it, in case you go into labor in mid-flight) ,

third, getting by without people noticing that ur not pregnant,

Yes, I'm sure she knew. You'd know if something like that was inside of you.

But at the same time I'm trying to reserve judgement. Maybe she was raped? Hell, maybe she was raped by her dad.

There are so many factors of this story that we do not know. That's why I think we should mourn for both children in this story. The baby, of course. But also the 14 year old, she's going to have to live with this for the rest of her life.

Oh, and Prego is a type of pasta sauce. Not an actual word. Yes, that'd be my pet peeve.
