$139 CRICUT at Michael's (next week!!!!!!!!)

Dh learned that lesson the hard way too. But the IRS will have to deal with payments. The all mighty dollar only stretches so far. We would have been ok tax wise if it weren't for the washing machine. But I can't complain we had that washer for 8 years x 12 loads of laundry a week + the time when my mom's washer broke so add her 6 per week x 6 weeks. I got my money out of that baby and then some!
I just wonder when it will end.

Oh gosh, I hope you don't think I was judging you in any way- that was NOT my intention. I totally get where you are coming from and understand. They will deal with payments, but be sure to communicate well with them and document the conversations. Our problem stemmed from trusting a sleezy business partner and an even sleezier accountant. Boy, did we ever learn the hard way...

Good luck! I hope everything works out for you!:)

Apparently it's a pregnancy thing if I'm not mistaken.

Party_of_3 thanks for the birthday wishes.

Ok, not going anywhere near a Buddha again...

Happy Birthday Faerie!!

No, didn't take it badly at all. :thumbsup2 I'm just saying that the IRS needs to learn that not everyone can just drop down huge chunks of cash on a whim. I paid the state off and my tax guy told me to pay as much as I can on the rest. It's just that the first of the month is the toughest because both car payments are due and the major credit card bill. But since the tax day is actually Monday since the 15th is a Sunday I may be able scrape together at least 1/2 of not all of what we owe so that's good.
Hopefully DH will get his year end bonus in May so I can pay my car off early, then I will be in supreme shape!

Not a snowballs chance in Hades that is going to happen!!! :rotfl2:
I had never heard of rubbing the Buddha's belly for a baby, I heard about it being good luck. At least that's what they said in Hawaii when we lived there. And no babies came while we were there either!

Oh why did I open this thread?? I have been telling myself I will not buy a Cricut, I will wait for a Wishblade, but at that price....

Actually, I have to work on Sunday until 6, the same time Mike's closes, so by Monday they will probably be all gone, right? Don't even suggest sending my DH! I don't need enablers!

Besides, I said no major scrapping purchases until we get our taxes back. And I can't even file yet because my stupid work messed up my stupid retirement fund and I got a stupid refund from Fidelity that no one quite knows what to do about it. They told us to delay filing our taxes until mid-March because we would have to declare it as income from 2006. Then they said, no, it's income from 2007, which means we did not have to wait, except they keep sending me contradictory letters. It's now almost April 1 and I can't get a clear answer. I had my return ready to go in February and I could've used that money! I am going to call them up tomorrow and give them a piece of my mind.

Sorry all the bills are coming due at once, Buffy!

And Happy Birthday, Faerie!

your welcome!

and it is a pregnancy thing. that's what i was always told. my dh and i were married 18 years before our little man came along and while we were trying everyone i knew asked "did you rub the buddha's belly?" so we had one from the restaurant that we went to the night dh gave me my diamond....so out of the box he came, rubbed the belly good and hard, and 9 months later we had our little man!!!! so i do believe in the buddha's belly myth!!!!!!! or at least in my case, anyway.:yay:

I want one!! I have read all the positive posts and I would love to get one. My Walmart is selling them for $194.00 and $139.00 would be great price. I don't have a Michaels where I live, wonder if they take phone orders?

Yes, the old tale is that rubbing a buddha's belly will help w/ fertility!!!

I so remember a Ripley's Believe It or Not TV piece that talked about people going somewhere (FLA) keeps coming to mind and they would rub the buddha's belly..and guess what happened to those couples.. Yup, little ones were born!

OK skipping merrily past buddha giving him a wide berth waving as I go by, singing that ship has sa-iled sa-iled sa-iled I am now bringing my pewter frog with me which I know for a fact is good luck in Japanese culture!!! :thumbsup2

I just realized last night that Walmart will price match with the ad, so I don't have to worry about it selling out. :woohoo:

I don't know how much one more day will help, but Tax Day this year is actually April 17th due to a holiday in Washington DC (I work for the corporate division of the largest retail tax company so I know these things ;) )

I'd love to get the Cricut too, but well, the kitchen is being remodeled and we need a new roof and my car had to have about $1,500 in car repairs in the last year (and DH did a lot of that himself), and I want to go to Dream Event in September . . .
