12/09/06 Cruise Continued ~ Pirating Bananas DIS Geekorama Part 2

How funny, I went to Mariners on and off during college! DH and I attended Saddleback when we lived in Foothill Ranch (2 years) but during that time I attended the MOPS (mothers of preschoolers) program over at Mariners because DH's cousin was in charge of the MOPS program there. DH's cousin and cousin-in-law are still very active at Mariners. I have a difficult time at Mega churches. Even our church here is a tad big for me but DH and the kids love it. You have to really get plugged in to feel connected and I'm so busy as it is. I'm babbling....

We actually booked this cruise back in may when we were on the Wonder for our first cruise. We did the land/sea and the kid's had so much fun we rebooked for a seven day then!It seemed really far away then and still is but the travel channel had a show about the ships on the other day and it got me back on the boards! There will be 7 of us. myself, dh, dd/12,ds/10,dd/8,
ds/8 and ds/18 months. My oldest Megan will be turing 13 within a month of the cruise(her birthdya is January 8th) and she has already said she wants to celebrate it on the ship! Well, looking forward to getting to know all of you!

Castaway Cay. I could spend all week there. Serenity Bay is one of the most peaceful beaches anywhere.

Jim is still talking about how we could've somehow "got lost" and missed the ship and stayed at Serenity Bay forever. I'm not sure how long he would really be okay without ESPN

Lisa - I've sent you an email and a PM and thought of one more thing - so I figured this time I would just post.

I went to school in Wilmington and have MANY friends from New Bern. NC is such a pretty state. We miss it. DH went to Wingate College although we met in graduate school in Washington DC. We've taken several trips back to NC and wow has it changed. I hardly recognize UNCW anymore.

We will fly evening of March 16, return to Portland evening of March 18. We are required to eat breakfast with all the youngun's and will need to spend much of our time with them, but we will have some time on our own also. Hey, want to help ride herd on these teenagers?

COOL! Be sure to bring back the navigators so that we can get them scanned & online for the Western cruise. If you don't have a scanner you could take pictures of them or we can use snail mail if needed.
