Nice on that first 00 of '06, John! Where's Jordan?? We will be at WDW at least 4 days prior to cruise. Would love to meet up. I think we will plan something with Joy also. We might be able to do a real mini-meet before the cruise.

Trying to decide if we will use Magical Express for getting to OKW or not . . .

We will this cruise probably go to WDW BEFORE the cruise - not after like this year. Maybe we can meet up with some of you before this year.

We tried DME this year and loved it! Especially since we took a redeye in from the West coast. We pretty much slept the entire way to the resort. It was lovely to not have to find our luggage and load it and get the car seat installed and drive to the resorts.... we just showed up, checked in, left our carry on with bell services and went to the park! Same experience on the way home - so nice to just show up at the airport and go to the gate!

We will be at BCV for a week before the cruise this year - I like land first, then cruise.

We used DME this year also and agree it was great. We LOVED not having to haul the luggage around.

Hey there everyone! We got home a few hours ago but I had to get the kids ready for bed & school tomorrow & get some laundry done. We had an "eventful" new years. This is the first year that I have not stayed up to at least watch the ball drop. Everyone else was asleep by 8:30. At home I am always the only one awake too but I have the computer.

Tomorrow we were considering doing DL and DCA after visiting friends in Orange County. Maybe not now though...

We had some friends over, there kids and our kids celebrated at 9:00 p.m. and watched the ball drop from NY on CNN. The kids loved it. We had hats, noise makers everything to ring in the new year. It was a lot of fun!!!! We are off to Carmel in two more days! The resort is right on the ocean. I cant wait! Hopeful the sun comes out. It has be raining a lot here.

It sounds like some odd weather in other parts of the country too - here, it has been very unseasonably warm (in the 40's every day), and the rain just has not quit for the entire week between Christmas and New Years. Yesterday we had a brief period of sun and I got to take down the outdoor decorations. No chance of flood or mud slide where we live though.

I can't tell you what fun it has been to housebreak this puppy in this weather though . . . the area right off our deck has become like a quagmire. Every time we go out, muddy shoes, muddy puppy, YUCK.

Today is the last day off for DW and I - back to the grind tomorrow. Today we will watch one of the two or three Bowl games we had an interest in - OSU and ND in the Fiesta Bowl. Kind of odd with the 4:30 ET start - since not everyone is off today.

The Big Ten is not doing so hot this year.

Today I need to take down the Christmas decorations and put the tree back up in the loft...though I might wait for DH to get home to do that part. I swear! Those GBAs were a live saver for our trip this past weekend. Now, off to get the house cleaned up. Why do I still feel like I am recovering here from our cruise?

Mark, we LOVE the Carmel/Pacific Grove/Monterey area. Have a great time and hope you do see some . We are expecting more through the week. Wish we could ship some of it to our relatives in Texas and Oklahoma! They were saying on the weather channel last night that the current weather pattern across the nation is much like the early 1930's which created the Dust Bowl.

I just booked for the 12/9/06 Magic on Saturday. We went on our first DCL vacation last month. It was a 4 day land/3 night sea vacation. My kids, DS13 and DD10, wanted to go on a longer cruise, so my DH and I said why not? It looks like this thread has been going for awhile, I thought I was planning way ahead, guess not. There have been a couple of threads that weren't really impressed with Costa Maya, is it really that bad? We picked this cruise because of the dates and our favorite part of the other one was CC, we can't wait to go twice in one week.
