He is only 3. It happens. Sometimes when we are traveling DD says she has to stop & we do and she goes. 5 miles down the road she says it again & we know that we have to stop again or else.

Jaea also uses the installment plan. It can be frustrating - right after we get out of the bathroom - she will look at me and say "I have to go really bad". I just can't understand it. The whole process ends up taking 20 min. Giona hates the smell of public bathrooms and complains the whole time.

oh no....my DS is the EXACT same way!!!! I am also a perfectionist when it comes to certain things. I have had the same fears for my son. Perfectionist really are hard on themselves. Being that kind of person has certain advantages...but the disadvantages are also unavoidable. My whole life growing up I drove my DMom crazy....perfect hair, perfect grades, perfect playing (instruments) you name it! Now it looks like I will have the same challenges with my DS.

These are more control issues - but life is not controlled. Our nursery school teacher would regularly throw a monkey wrench just to get the kids to regroup because that is what happens in life. If she ordered something for a party or project and it did not arrive it time she would not run out and get it - she would explain to them that it didn't come and that she was D - disappointed.

Brandi is right that life is so much harder when you are always expecting your cars to be lined up in a row. Kids need to learn to have good self esteem with success and disappointment. It is such a tricky balance.

I am with you Becka on the need for several out fits a day - I am trying to walk myself through this. and how to avoid it. Laundry is one viable option.

DD has several outfits that are reversible - love you Gymboree!! I will definitely bring those.

Giona is hopeless - as soon as he breathes his clothes are dirty - sometimes I just have to resort to turning his shirt around so I don't have to look at it if I haven't brought a change of clothes. LOL.

because I haven't gotten one in quite a while - I am always reading old posts and miss seeing that the time has come.

maybe there should be a DIS laundry meet?

or we could exchange clothes within age groups so it looks like different kid - new outfit. Plus everyone seems to be a good shopper here and we can use some new stuff. LOL.

how about it?

11 day Hawaiian cruise leaving Dec 9, '06 for 1,583 for all three passengers. Airfare for 3 would be about 1,041. That's a total of 2,624 for flight and and 11 day cruise.

How could that possibly be so cheap? for 3? 11 days? mabe because it is unsold at this point?

The kids and I would love to see Hawaii - such a long flight though.

:goodvibes Kids are so cute at that age! They want to mimic everything. Both of my kids enjoyed the career weeks at their preschool.

DD was sitting at her work table with Giona's mini-race car steering wheel - making believe she was flying and talking to flight control on the radio and she actually used the N number from Ken's plane - 93 J (juliet). It was so funny and amazing how much stuff they have total recall of.

Good Morning Group!!!!!!

Today's the big day, our WEDDING SHOWER!!!!!!! Now I am really getting excited for everything.....

PJ, great job on the newsletter!!!!!!

Paul just walked in and I was showing him all the posts and everthing, he was saying how nice it was that there will be lots of friendly faces. I told him how I invited to group to the wedding and he loved it......

Can't wait, although, I am going to miss the wine and cheese gathering the day of the wedding :guilty: Maybe I'll have to get my hair done early so I can try to join in for awhile.

Thanks again for everones help and advice along the way. Can't wait to meet everyone in person.

Oh, by the way, I CANT WAIT FOR THE AKV TO COME :Pinkbounc

I always told Paul, if DVC goes to AK, we are joining... I always tell him that when we have a family, this will be something we can look forward to every year, we both LOVE AK :goodvibes

Things to do before the Cruise
1. Find a part time job in tax prep for Jan-April
2. Get an Eye Exam
3. Get an Ear Exam (what did she say?)
4. Get my head examined (literally, migranes)
5. Any last minute Cruise Shopping
6. Christmas Shopping for Family (Who are they again?)
7. Complete 9 or 10 T-Shirt Quilts

Yikes! :scared1: I still check in every couple of days but I just can't keep up like I used to. Will someone please volunteer to PM me if there are any plans I need to know?
