DH was surprised when I took her to school. I had no idea she had been up since 4:30!! She was acting fine and wanted to go. If he had woken me up, I could have taken her into the bathroom with the steam. I've become a very sound sleeper lately and DD would much rather go to DH if she wakes up since he will not put her back in bed.![]()
You can't go by how the kids act during the day.
DD was coughing terribly and I took her to the doctor. We didn't see the regular one and he did a strep test since I was being treated for it...that was it. It came back positive even though she had more symptoms than she usually did with strep. The fever & coughing didn't stop so I took her to urgent care Sunday afternoon when she coughed during her nap.
We waited for 1 1/2 hours while she ran around the waiting area laughing & really making me want to just go home. I knew that she would be up choking all night though so we waited. It turned out that she had developed pneumonia from the flu.
Her regular doctor was
when he found out that the other doctor hadn't even tested her for that. He spent 2 hours taking xrays, evaluating her breathing, then giving her a starting dose of meds. We didn't leave the clinic until an hour after they closed.
That was a couple years ago in January when the flu outbreak was so terrible. She was so close to being hospitalized even though she had been running around like nothing was wrong before.

Oh my yes!! Becka, a gum chewing smiley please!
to all of you with sick kids. I know how hard it can be. Thankfully we all appear to be on the mend but the lingering after effects are still around.
I am really way to excited about this.
