Awwwww, thank you!

DH was surprised when I took her to school. I had no idea she had been up since 4:30!! She was acting fine and wanted to go. If he had woken me up, I could have taken her into the bathroom with the steam. I've become a very sound sleeper lately and DD would much rather go to DH if she wakes up since he will not put her back in bed.

You can't go by how the kids act during the day. DD was coughing terribly and I took her to the doctor. We didn't see the regular one and he did a strep test since I was being treated for it...that was it. It came back positive even though she had more symptoms than she usually did with strep. The fever & coughing didn't stop so I took her to urgent care Sunday afternoon when she coughed during her nap. :( We waited for 1 1/2 hours while she ran around the waiting area laughing & really making me want to just go home. I knew that she would be up choking all night though so we waited. It turned out that she had developed pneumonia from the flu. :furious: Her regular doctor was :furious: when he found out that the other doctor hadn't even tested her for that. He spent 2 hours taking xrays, evaluating her breathing, then giving her a starting dose of meds. We didn't leave the clinic until an hour after they closed. :guilty: That was a couple years ago in January when the flu outbreak was so terrible. She was so close to being hospitalized even though she had been running around like nothing was wrong before.

I've got to go get some things done. Have the best morning possible! :flower1:

Actually I was wondering about this just last night. I know there have been offshoots of the DIS on ezboards so I thought maybe I would look into creating a board over there that might be a way for us all to stay in touch. Then again if the DIS will let us just have this thread go on and on forever then maybe that will work as well.

There are a few threads from past cruises that still have activity. That should be fine. It is up to whatever you guys want to do. :)

Boy, it is raining buckets outside!

Be ready those of you in PA - you'll probably get it in the morning!

John1

Gosh - please keep your rain...I need a pretty fall day for the next few days.

Next week is our local "Pumpkin Festival" but my kids when they were younger called it the "Pumpkin Vegetable"...so we call it that now.

It was cold here this morning - 75!! I needed long sleeves!

I hope it stays warm for a bit longer so we can really break in the pool! I have to go home at lunch for "pool school" - should be fun!

I wish we had more fall festivals here. There is a pumpkin patch - Hunsader Farms but it is a bit of a drive. I am sure the kids would love it though.

who's gonna turn the lights out on this thread on Friday night/Saturday morning?

Or is anyone planning on "live" posts?

I want to be far away from computers!!

28 days until we leave for the World! I am slowly starting to get excited about it. I better get our costumes together!

Good Morning!

Oh, and don't even think about chewing gum! I see my mom with that "look".

:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl: Oh my yes!! Becka, a gum chewing smiley please! :lmao:

Whew! I spent way too much time trying to catch up. You really can’t take a day or evening off without falling pretty far behind.

 to all of you with sick kids. I know how hard it can be. Thankfully we all appear to be on the mend but the lingering after effects are still around.

Captain – we knew you had to be right about Cozumel – we never doubted you but it is nice to see the Magic docked. If we dock I am sure DH will want to get off and just look around for a bit. Is there a lot to see just right there by the dock or do you need to take a taxi into town?

Karen – I am sorry you are having so much trouble at work. Just remember we only have 71 days… :yay:

Tonight is Grey’s Anatomy night!!! :woohoo: I am really way to excited about this.

I still don’t know if we are going to DH’s parents this weekend. If we do then I will probably need to pack tonight for the trip up there tomorrow evening. Unless you guys get posting like crazy tonight I will probably miss 30,000. I will also miss Friday night chat. I missed last week because I was sick and feel asleep on the couch. I hate to miss two weeks in a row.

We are still planning on going to the Kansas City Renaissance Festival this weekend and we may try to eat that evening at the new T-Rex Cafe they opened there. It is done like Rainforest Cafe (in fact by the same company I believe) but it is all dinosaurs. DS will be thrilled. The one in KC is the first one but I noticed on their website last night that they are getting ready to open their second one at Downtown Disney. :yay:

Our pumpkin festival is the weekend of Oct 14-15. I am really looking forward to it. It is a lot of fun. We also have MU Homecoming and a trip to the St. Louis Zoo for their "Boo at the Zoo" stuff coming up this next month. We are going to stay busy in October. :)

My DS wants to put up happy smiles...since he isn't feeling good...I am going to let him. :rotfl2:  :Pinkbounc :hourglass :yay: :yay: :teacher: :laundy: :beach: :dancer: party: :jumping1: :car: :dumbo: :tinker: :simba: :maleficen :fish: :fish: :fish: :butterfly

The funnies part of him clicking on them is that he calls simba "Hakunamatata" and he calls maleficent a bat!!!!
The smiles made me smile! Good morning to you both!

We ended up staying up until 3:30, then at 4 and 6. I just found out that DS got up around 4:30 and came downstairs when he got sick instead of waking me up. DH was down here & took care of him. He watched a Mickey movie before coming upstairs to get me at 6. He slept for 1 1/2 hours. I am hoping that we can both get some more sleep this morning. I'm feeling a little rough. He can't even drink water. :( His tummy seems to have settled a bit though since that wasn't as bad when he got up.
Hope you both get some rest. Poor little guy! :grouphug:

Hmmm. I think the Residence Inn at the port has free access in the rooms. And my PowerBook is ready to go (and I think I'm taking it along on the cruise). So I could potentially be online at the end...

okay - i can share this with you guys....

I just had a jerk come into my office...not one of my workers but some othere office. Anway - he caught an attitude..we went back and forth...bottom line...I realy had to put him in his place...not very fun...but when he left I was fuming....then another lady in my office came in and said she heard all that and thought I needed a hug. I was fine till she came in and then I started crying. I HATE WHEN I CRY IN THE OFFICE. DH gets down right ANGRY at me if I cry in the office. So all you other DH don't need to comment here!!! I know it is that femaile thing...but geesh!!! And then I get more mad at myself for crying so the whole thing becomes this downward spiral.

Anyway - YUCK! Just had to get it off my chest....I keep checking to see how red my eyes are. I think it will be Margaritas for lunch today!

:sad2: :sad2:

Karen, it really is ok to cry. :grouphug:

Brandi - did your MIL (or mom, not sure which one) find a hotel for the couple nights before the cruise?
She has one for Thursday but not Friday. I don't think she found one yet.

Part of my trip planning spreadsheet actually includes time to cry at the end of the cruise. I know it will be so hard to disembark and start the looooonnnnggggg drive home.

Aren't we all meeting in the parking lot? :thumbsup2 Or was the plan to link arms along deck 4 & shout Heck no! We wont go! :rotfl:

Brandi - this is what we always do. I already have our rental car from budget but I don't have the limo set up for the return. Is anyone hearing good or bad stories on the limo companies lately on the regular boards?
We like to take Disney transportation back to the airport. We can check our luggage right at the port by doing that. We just add it on while onboard. $30 per person. More expensive than renting a car, but less than a limo and since our flights are usually late in the day it is nice to not have to deal with the luggage. MCO will not let you check your luggage more than 4 hours before your flight. So, getting to the airport around 10 am with a 4-6pm flight means dealing with piles of luggage for a few hours. We really, really like checking it at the port. :thumbsup2
