That is funny! I was raised in dresses at church and my brother was always in a suit. I still cannot go in jeans even though people all around me are in jeans. I have no problem with others wearing them, I just cannot. I see my Grandfather everytime I even THINK about doing that! I have been able to wear slacks and a nice blouse, but still am uncomfortable.

Yes, I am really here at this ungoodly hour. DS has been up sick but it seems that he is finally sleeping. It looks like I will be staying home tomorrow.

We can both be home with sick kids! I have a major baking day ahead of me...

You know, we weren't allowed to wear jeans or shorts to Church growing up. Noone did then. I honestly don't care what someone else wears BUT I am just too uncomfortable to wear either one of them even now. My kids dress up for Church too. I guess that we are greatly affected by how we grew up.

That is very true. We are the same way here. DH doesn't usually wear a suit...but a shirt and tie always.

I also got that look when I was a kid in choir if I would get a pencil to write a small note on my bulletin!!! Also...don't run in church to the children's sermon. These are now the things that I enforce with my children and the children in my choir!

And some long-distance germ-free hugs to those dealing with sick kids. Stomach bug is no fun for anyone. When DD8 has that kind of bug, she ASKS to sleep on the bathroom floor because she wants to be sure to be there on time.

I am so sorry to hear William is feeling so bad. I am sure you are feeling very helpless. to both of you and hopefully it is a quick bug!

We ended up staying up until 3:30, then at 4 and 6. I just found out that DS got up around 4:30 and came downstairs when he got sick instead of waking me up. DH was down here & took care of him. He watched a Mickey movie before coming upstairs to get me at 6. He slept for 1 1/2 hours. I am hoping that we can both get some more sleep this morning. I'm feeling a little rough. He can't even drink water. His tummy seems to have settled a bit though since that wasn't as bad when he got up.

I just heard back from DS's teacher & there are two other kids out for the same reason today. DD was really good this morning...which surprised me. She didn't get upset going into school by herself and carried DS's homework folder in to give to his teacher. She is all set to ride the bus home on her own today too.

Lisa, you seem to be doing great so far today. Don't we all love that sort-of-awake but still fuzzy-headed feeling when you only slept for an hour or two at a time.

Lisa - that's great that DD went to school with no problems....I could already hear the argument, "but, he gets to stay home".

At school this morning one of Samantha's friends was just crying and sobbing and wanting to stay home with his dad - I am thinking the dad was off, he's a fireman who works XX on XX off days a week. I felt so bad you could tell the dad was so frustrated and the boy was really really carrying on.

Every now and then Samantha wants me to stay but its pretty rare. Haley on the other hand is so spoiled by her teachers. Her feet don't touch the ground half the day!
