I bought the camera (Canon S3 IS), it was on sale, $450 US$! And they had a returned SD ultra II 1GB card for $55 US$. I am all set for the cruise. Basically the camera cost me my bingo stake of $35, woo hoo!

Ok, Fluff up here is only in the ice cream topping section. I guess Canucks use it on ice cream, is that weird?

We use that stuff John referred to for ice cream vs. fluff but hey fluff is a versatile thing!

It is basically the exact same thing! We have both here.

gasp! Gag. No way. Well, I suppose if you left fluff out in the hot sun and then used it. We have a Fluff thing going on here where I need to send it to all of my transplanted friends who can't get it. I have heard the bemoaning of Marshmallow Cream in Gerogia, Ohio and California

John, I am so sorry! How awful for you. My favorite grocery store, and the place I always buy my food, is a locally owned store by the most wonderful man. His produce is impeccable, he buys local dairy products, and has this beautiful clean store. I would be devestated if he had to lay people off or close his store. No one in his family can even say walmart out loud. How sad that wonderful stores like yours and his have this experience.

I have let a lot of people go over the years, but it was always their fault because of something stupid that they did - like stealing. This was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do though, as these people did nothing wrong. Most were good employees, good people, just trying to make a living. I had people angry at me, yelling at me, crying, and in shock. I felt horrible. I don't know how those huge companies let hundreds and thousands of people go . . .

Anyway, Walmart, and retailers like them, have a devastating impact on local and small businesses, as people flock to them for price. Once the competition is gone, look out! Walmart ruined Rubbermaid (a company that was only about 40 miles from here), and has had a hand in ruining the Hoover company (which is in the town we live in now). The quest for lower prices, and higher profits always comes at the expense of someone, and we are I fear experiencing a real decline in the middle class in America. Pretty soon we will begin to widen the canyon between the haves and the have nots in this country if we keep going down this road, and that is not a good thing.
