Well, I hate Walmart too - but it is because of quite a vested interest with me . . . While the atmosphere does seem to "suck my lifeforce out" they have become a competitor that is savaging our business. Last week was an awful week for me because I had to lay off 18 full-time employees - some of whom had been with us for almost 10 years. They earned decent wages, and had good benefits. But, since 4 WalMart SuperCenters opened in our area, all selling groceries, paying low wages, and minimal to no benefits, it is harder and harder to compete. The company I work for has been here for 73 years, and this was our FIRST layoff of FT employees EVER. It was really hard, as I had hired most of these people, and they all have families.

Hate WM.

That is what we have heard here as well but haven't experienced it - sorry John that must have been so terrible. Walmart wants to start cashing checks here. Can they do that there? Next will be getting into branch banking wanna bet!

John, I am so sorry! How awful for you. My favorite grocery store, and the place I always buy my food, is a locally owned store by the most wonderful man. His produce is impeccable, he buys local dairy products, and has this beautiful clean store. I would be devestated if he had to lay people off or close his store. No one in his family can even say walmart out loud. How sad that wonderful stores like yours and his have this experience.

Not a nutella fan. A good friend got me to try it and I can't really get into chocolate on toast/bagel/english muffin.

Fluffernutter is the best sandwich going!!!! When I was a child I would take a half sand. everyday!!! It was always peanut butter and marshmallow! My DS eats them now! I still have them if I can't find anything else for lunch! You Ohioians (sp) Have no idea what you are missing! :teeth:

I grew up in Michigan (not too far from Detroit) and we ate fluffer nutter sandwiches as kids.

My DD loves PB, banana and fluff. It's really good!

No fluff in the Midwest -and I am a grocery guy. Just Kraft Marshmallow Cream here - is it similar?

John1
Oh nooooooo! Not at all the same.

So sad, sometimes I wonder . . .

46 years old, and my big excitement is new smiles, and getting to 14,000 posts on a DIS board . . . What has happened to me????

Is professional help needed here?
:dance3: :dance3:

Idon't even try to keep up anymore. Boys are in the backyard lying side by side on a blanket shooting the bb guns. DH made them a target box and hung the metal bear, mouse, and elk I bought them in it. Spencer hit the bear his first shot and put a hole in his leg. (bears leg. :goodvibes ) I have been on the computer trying to figure out what tranportation we are taking to the port and back.

DH told me he is wearing a tshirt and shorts to formal night. :lmao: I said fine as long as I can wear my grean flannel tink pants with my blue flower print corona shorts over them. He said deal. :furious: what ever. I think next month we will go to the big city and see what we can find. I have a top and tan pants and that is good for me, but he has nothing but jeans and tshirts, I think it is a waste of money to buy him some as he would never wear then again. Maybe I should see if my dad has something. Better check on the 3 boys in the back yard. Mum

You know Kath....

We made it a rule awhile ago that you have to be related in some way to at least 3 other cruisers...

So far your more than qualified.... Your DD likes same sandwich as me
Our doggies share the same name.... 2 Dennis'... more than 2 Katie's

list goes on.....

See, I told you I was not a Fluff purist. I knew someone would say they're not the same!

Oh, I like that! I finally have gotten away from having to cut the crust off. Our thing is nothing can be on the sides. Any peanutbutter or fluff showing outside the sandwich and the whole things is history.

Aren't kids totally rediculous about the dumbest things? I swear they wouldn't eat a hotdog with a burn spot on it...we nuke them for 30 seconds at 50% power & there may have been a small brown spot. DS can't be in the same room with PB or bread.

OK DH is getting upset because I told him I wanted to see 14,000 but he wants me to come to bed with him....

You guys are going to have to start posting faster..... ;)
