:rotfl2: Kristia, was just about to do the same, but with not as many names, lol.

Night Kristina! :)

You know, there is no way that I will buy meat or fresh stuff from WM. The store is way too dirty & the stuff goes bad too quickly.

LOL! I didn't think I was but I guess I am. Sad...but true. :rotfl2:

And you guys put this stuff on a sandwich????? :confused3

Not here.

Most people here either buy it to use with ice cream as a topping - like the cannucks (heck, they're just across the lake from us) . . . or, during baking season around the holidays. I know we used to use it in making fudge.

But on a sandwich??? :rotfl2:

I'll be that's not with any kind of high wheat grain high fiber bread like what Kim was looking for (BTW Kim, we have some great breads in our stores, and we operate a scratch bakery). Somehow I see this on the softest possible wonder bread.

John1

I think I have gotten so used to the John1 now, that every time I type my name on a letter at work I will be typing John1. How funny is it that John1 and John2 are both in the grocery business too?
Yeah John only on Wonder Bread!! (gag) I hate wonderbread and to be honest I'm not a big Fluff fan however that with peanut butter is a wonderful thing. I don't know why. The right taste mix I guess. I ate it on whole wheat myself but Country White yes sure re for DH or better yet on Italian Bread aka Scali

According to DH he can't imagine people not loving it. Something is wrong with me that it isn't my passion. (just kidding)

Hey what is wrong with peanut butter and jelly? Is jelly not good enough for you guys up in the NE?
We have that too. Although DD doesn't like jelly or jam. No condiments of any kind for her actually.

even better is fluffernutter with banana slices on it.....
Oh my brother's absolute fav! I wished I liked bananas because it actually looked good in a messy way.

Is that fluff stuff a liquid?

Will you guys be able to bring it on the plane?

I fully expect to see at least ONE jar of the elusive fluff on the ship! Got to know what that stuff is! Do you think we could get it at Palo Brunch? I can see it now, "yes, that is all very nice, but where are the fluffernuter sandwiches cut into 1/6's? What, no fluffernutter sandwiches? This is an outrage!"

Time for bed - unfortunately though, I'm not going to be as lucky as Becka, going to bed like I am posting, all by myself!

Kim - will you be up and posting with us from NYC this week? Where is your store located? Oh yeah - I am jealous about your Wicked tickets!!!! I would love to see that show! My DH tried to get me tickets for our trip there last year but they were all sold and I would not allow him to pay extra from ebay!

Yes I will be posting this week. I have jet lag at night when I go back east. This trip is a board meeting for a non profit industry association so we are meeting in a hotel. My favorite hotel in NYC is the marriott marquee because I love the location, but this is a non profit and they are paying so I will deal with the roosevelt hotel.

DD wants me to send :beach:  :dance3: :Pinkbounc :happytv: popcorn:: :goodvibes :cool1:

John, a scratch bakery? Wow why is anyone going to walmart?

Figures . . . I knew someone had to work a  in there.

And PB and J was ALL I ate EVERY day for lunch for years when I was in school. Jif and Welch's grape jelly. DW said how boring! Later in life I even graduated from creamy to extra chunky pb. To this day, when I have one of those sandwiches, I feel like a little kid again! Oh, and a big tall glass of milk with Nestles Quik Chocolate! :thumbsup2

John1
Did you get the Welch's that became cups you could use later. I loved those as a kid. My aunt had those glasses. We didn't have Quick but Ovaltine. Did you ever taste that - it was yucky. How about Bosco?

Did any of you fine folks see the meteor shower this weekend? It really was amazing. We were up in the mountains. other than a few campfires it was pitch black and a beautiful, starry, clear sky!
That sounds so neat. I have never seen one.

Do you all have nutella down there, we have it here and there is even a commerical with a teacher saying, if the kids at least get a nutella sandwich for breakfast, all those hazelnuts, they would have a good day at school?

Pj
I'm trying to post all together but I don't think I'm ever going to catch up to this thread I am still 1/2 hour behind. DH also loves Nutella.

Anyway, Walmart, and retailers like them, have a devastating impact on local and small businesses, as people flock to them for price. Once the competition is gone, look out! Walmart ruined Rubbermaid (a company that was only about 40 miles from here), and has had a hand in ruining the Hoover company (which is in the town we live in now). The quest for lower prices, and higher profits always comes at the expense of someone, and we are I fear experiencing a real decline in the middle class in America. Pretty soon we will begin to widen the canyon between the haves and the have nots in this country if we keep going down this road, and that is not a good thing.
Thats why my dw will not shop at WM. I will occasionally, but not for groceries. There are 3 superWM within 10 miles of our home with another planned. Counting the stores in neighboring towns and planned stores...we will have 7 superWM within 25 minutes of our home within a years time.
Sorry for the rant :guilty:

$$$$$$$$$$$!

No one (Well almost no one) cares about quality any more. All anyone seems to care about is price. I understand it in one respect - other than one company that is the bedrock of this town (Timken roller bearing) we have lost lots of industry and lots of jobs here.

I'll tell you another secret . . . our meatcutters actually CUT meat from hanging cattle. We are the ONLY store in NE Ohio that I know does this. Beef comes into other stores pre-cut, or in boxed primal cuts. I have a devil of a time hiring meat cutters, as they have to be almost totally retrained. They all think a roast comes out of a box.

Not a nutella fan. A good friend got me to try it and I can't really get into chocolate on toast/bagel/english muffin.
Me too - unless it's a croissant. ;) Okay that's a lie I have had a hard day and wrapped a hersheys bar around a piece of bread to make a makeshift pain au chocolat so I guess that makes me a sad puppy. I think its the hazlenut in nutella though or something like that which I am not fond of I think...

pjpoohbear said:
They have bread at the breakfast buffet, so someone can get you white bread. Maybe Kim can get it for us, lol. I want to try a fluffernutter or at least a sixth!

Pj

Oh yea I can here it now... I need wine, and I don't drink so if you could just figure it out, cheese and white bread and some knives...

One semester in college ALL I ate was PB and honey sandwiches. (I was kinda broke :teeth: ) I could not eat PB after that for over a decade. Just the thought would turn my stomach.

I'm over it now :)

We ate PB & fluff (or another brand) as children, but have not had it since.

gasp! Gag. No way. Well, I suppose if you left fluff out in the hot sun and then used it. We have a Fluff thing going on here where I need to send it to all of my transplanted friends who can't get it. I have heard the bemoaning of Marshmallow Cream in Gerogia, Ohio and California

Then what the heck is fluff??? It isn't runny or anything...at least not here.[/QUOTE]I think Fluff is more whipped. It's like airy vs. liquidy. Frankly either does the trick.

John, that's what the local guy here does. I call a few days early and ask for specific type cuts. I cannot imagine calling WM for that same thing. Also, thier meat and seafood are horrid looking I don't care how cheap it is...
