It's a camera from Canon. One of the higher end versions.

Brack I am of the same mind, I not buying a new camera for just one more times optical, there had better be some kick in the new one and I want more than 5 mp.

Canon's line of SLR cameras. Back in ancient times when I got my EOS 650, it was their first autofocus SLR (single lens reflex) camera. For me, it was the first expensive thing I bought after graduating from college and working and saving for months!!!

The only thing killing me about a new camera is switching media cards, ugh! i have a Gig in CF cards and all the new cameras, at least the ones I like, use SD cards. And we do not get the great sales you all do.

I tought my Olympus do-si-whats-it was pretty nice when I got it uptenth years ago. It actually just died....hence I need a new camera. Not that I ever develop film.

That's my biggest fear PJ. I don't want to get a camera and then something sooo much better comes out right after! But I have been saying that for over 5 years!

I want more than 8! The 5D is 12 I believe but the EOS1d has nire features with 8+ mp.

There is a camera with over 20mp but it cost more than my first house!

Lots of CF cards at my house, too. The drowned G6 took CF cards; and my A20 uses 'em.

Caroline, the A80 came out a month after i bought the a70 and it had the flip screen, direct print and more mp. That hurt, but I have done some great pics with the a70, so ....
