I went to get some ice cream tonight and found it like water! :faint: The fridge finally conched out! It must have been some time this morning, but I didn't notice. Took what I could salvage to my moms. Now we have to go shopping tomarrow. I so do not like to buy major things becuase I "have to" and can't shop around too much.

Ok, brack is semi-moved in, back to work, etc. Now we can plan that meet at the Aquarium! I am free throughout August right now! :teeth:

oooh a fridge...that stinks...it could be just a leaking coolant line though...We had that happen to us with a GE fridge just over a year old once. The landlord had a repairman come to fix it and they fixed the line and refilled the coolant. I hear sears will come out to access the repair and if you don't fix they will credit the service call fee towards a new store purchase or something like that.

Hey everybody,

We're just sitting here with Lisa and family after a fun cookout and fireworks at the beach. We had a really nice day.

Patsy, Lisa says she got your info.

Brack, Lisa says she doesn't know the technical stuff, but you might find help at the tech board on the smiley's.

Happy 4th of July everyone, and welcome to our new cruisemates!

John

I feel for you having to buy a fridge because you have to~ We bought a Van last night because the car died on Sunday. We really couldn't shop around. I am very happy with the van but DH isn't totally thrilled. He wanted to look more...oh well.

Hey John and Lisa and Families! I hope you are having a great time at the beach!!! Ohhh Ahhhh....fun in the sun! Were the fire works over the ocean? Where are you staying in the Outer Banks?

I'm only good for weekends.... Since i won't have vacation time at the new job until January.

I actually have to take the time off for the cruise as unpaid. But my DH and I have a plan to get him to work overtime between now and then to compensate.

Weekends are good for us. Depending when you plan your trip we can also go to the aquarium. That would be fun. :fish:

It's a shame you couldn't have rolled it down into the creek last week and called it flood damage....

Goofyforlife, i know the pain of no vacation days in a new job. I have been covering part-timer's saturdays off to make up time for the cruise. Since I started in Late February, I earned only two vacation days for this year (may 06 -may 07), I will have 12 days the next year.

I have saved up four days as of now and will earn another on July 15th, so with my two normal vacation days will need two more to cover the whole trip in December, both WDW and DCL.

The pain for me is that i will be earning vacation time but they have a rule that you can't use it for the first 6 months.

I might be able to work a couple of those cheasy holidays we get off in Sept & November though. (election day, veterans day and some other day)

Then some of my time can get covered at least.

Shhh...I've been waiting for this fridge to die. When we got the house, it was 10 yrs old so I am assuming so was the fridge. That was 7 years ago! :lmao: The ice machine had been broken for about 5 of those and people still come over and try to use it. :rotfl:

I am glad I just have to rush to buy a fridge and not a car Brandi. But I am sure it was better for you and not DH. ;)

We want some pictures! :teeth:

Penny, glad you are almost done those "Saturdays!" Maybe you should do a few more for some spending money. :thumbsup2

Sunday evening it started raining (again) then it started hailing. I looked out the back sliding glass door (where my DMIL was standing) and noticed that leaves and limbs were flying around in a fast swirling motion .... O MY! .... it is a tornado!! in my backyard. I calmly asked my DMIL to come away from the window. Then the power goes out and it was out for 14 hours! Trees were down all around in our neighborhood and several cars damaged. I still have some limbs on the roof.

I told my DW that we left "Tornado Alley" (Oklahoma) where in 7 years I never saw a tornado up close just the after effects to come to a place where they rarely happen and see one in my backyard! It was funny .... afterwards.
:scared1: :scared1: Wow!!! Sorry to hear about the fun of unpacking...YUCK!!....but now storms....sorry!!! Hope all is well.

Lisa: I have noticed that I can not click on a "smiley" and have it appear in my messages. I can write the "code" for it and it will show but I can not click on one. It is only on this computer. Do you know why?

Brack - that happens to me periodically and I was told it has to do with cookies or temp files or something. If I log off and log back on the boards OR clear my temp files, it makes it okay for me. Not sure that fixes your problem...

Kristina - does the cruise fall within the 6 month window? Perhaps you'll be feeling ...oh....sick??!!!....some of that time????

Okay - happy belated 4th of July!!!

Did anyone see the Macy's fireworks on TV?

We went to the ones in Harrisburg and then caught the ending of those on TV. I can't remember them doing those before...or have I just been out and about not to notice. They were quite nice and the people really seemed to be enjoying themselves.

Hope everyone had a great 4th. We did!!!

Today feels like a Monday...but only 3 more days of work till the weekend.

Yippee!!

Okay - have a great day everyone!!! Stay dry - they are calling for more rain and storms up here!! Ugh!

Yes Karen, Cruise is at 5 months.

I would use some sick time but i need it for mid-January.

I am planning on having some internal work done at that time. Most people need about two weeks off so that sick time will be accounted for.

I hope this rain stops soon. You really don't want to have to pump your basement again, right.
