Carolyn, in ref to the med post that I really don't want to get involved in the debate about everything....until this year we started school 8/8 and got out 5/13 or so. Now they go 8/25 and don't get out until 6/8 . They shortened vacations & dropped a few teacher work days to get the 180 in.

It's funny how everyone's school year runs differently. Because we are a resort town, school doesn't start until after Labor Day. Used to be the Wed. after, now the next day (Tuesday). They usually don't get out until around 6/12 or so, without snow days. We have a long Christmas break and a week after Easter. Plus a 4 day Pres weekend and the 3 day teacher convention. Of course a few odds and end too. Luckily the schools are pretty good about kids taking vacations during the school year because no one here leaves in the summer! We are currently booker for the Repo home because we will be back beore the start of school.

I think doctors are leery about saying a temp is caused by teething because moms (and dads!) may overlook it being something else by assuming. I think they have to cover their bums!

Hmmmm....do you have to get there this early? Did I miss the 4th?

Our town was the oddball out this year and had the fireworks tonight! All of the neighboring towns are tomorrow. But looks like rain for them!! Ha ha!! We are the least affected by the summer crowds, but the population still swells by at least 2 (other areas swell by 4-10!).

They were very good this year. Usually I would just watch them at my mom's, but they are a bit too far away. I still stayed away from the real crowds because DD3 did not like all of the noise last year. We had a nice spot on the beach and the show lasted a good 20-30 minutes. My friend was also there and turned right instead of left when leaving and got caught in the real traffic!!

Still debating whether to see any tomorrow or not. Maybe we will just watch the big city ones on tv!

And yes, the crowds are HUGE!!

Well, it looks like we will be going down to the beach for a couple days tomorrow. We'll spend the day at the beach & the pool then go down to the beach & see whatever fireworks there are down there. Wednesday we are going to the aquarium. It is nothing like the Baltimore one but they did just remodel this one & it is MUCH better. DS wants to touch a stingray again. He is practicing for CC.

AAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaAAAAaaaaaaa I miss a few days and you all are soooooooooooo chatty!!!! I will never keep up with you all! I have been super busy!! So far the last two weeks I have worked 145 hours!!! I'm very sleepy. Lots and lots of fires. We have at least two arsonist in our town. Lots of Over Time!!!! Now I know where the money to pay for are cruise is coming from.... Well I really have not been keeping up with everyone. So I pray you all are doing well!

My car blew the head gasket on Sunday. It has over 140 thousand miles. My husband decided that it was now dead. We went to a dealership last night and bought a van. Now I am the proud owner of a Dodge Caravan. Ten years ago I never would have know that I would own a VAN!
