Still no upgrade for us... and no drop in price either... it's over $2000 more right now than when we booked (on board, 12/2004).

Did we get that great of a deal by booking early and on board?

I'm sorry it's been so difficult. :grouphug:

My DD is home today too. She got the flu and pneumonia vaccines and they are being really hard on her. So we are both out for the day.
Our schools are closed for Veteran's Day so DGS is home, but he never causes any fuss. He is a very quiet kid. We are truly blessed with him.

I had to unlock the bottom of the scanner.

A very common error. My first scanner setup drove me crazy and it was this feature. It's meant to save the mechanism from damage when shipping.

What a rollercoaster...

Update on my dog... I thought he was doing "okay".... he'll never be "better" but things were okay. Well yesterday he developed these "bedsores" on his paws... from laying on them all day. Both rear paws -- one he lays on all the time. He never sleeps in any other position. So now he's kinda bleeding/oozing from both paws. He is also whimpering more, even when he is up and walking around. I think he's in alot of pain.

I tried to delude myself into thinking that his quality of life hasn't changed much because he's ALWAYS done nothing but lay around the house (for at least the last few years) but now he can't even, or doesn't want to, go outside and sniff the grass and wander around.

I won't be in chat tonight.... going out to dinner. I'll log on and see if you're still around when I get home though.

So John goes from 4 home runs on Tuesday to 2/3 (both singles) and then he was pissed he was left on base ------ they lost. I think this started the playoffs as well.

And - not sure if I mentioned it but their Disney tournament is off....someone FORGOT to register. But they made sure they all had rooms!!
Oh, hugs for Johnny! :grouphug: :grouphug:

I cannot understand how someone would forget important stuff like REGISTERING for Pete's Sake!

Did I tell you way back in March when we went to DL with the band that the bookkeeper at the HS FORGOT to pay for the hopper passes for 90 some people?? OY The organizer of the group wound up putting them on her personnal credit card after 4 hours of the kids standing around at the entrance. :sad2:

He decided that he just could not keep up day to day so he depends on me mostly to give him updates. He was in chat last week and he still pops in from time to time. I keep him busy with DIS DH duties: keeping the kids out of my hair so I can DIS! :thumbsup2
Becka, you are such a hoot!! :lmao: :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Did you check price for a 12gty in Jan 04? I wonder what the difference was?

It wasn't an option back then. I don't know if it had not been released or was all booked. But when it did become available it was within 4100 less then my cat 11, so I didn't drop back then.

Pj

ETA:

Ps. I can't count backwards, I originally went to book in 12/04 then finally booked New Years Day 2005.

Brack! You even wake up in the middle of the night to snag those! :lmao: :rotfl2: pirate:

Take What You Can (when you can!)

Trying to figure out the airline thing. If I buy a round trip ticket for Dina, but then take her with me, can I cancel the first leg? It won't cancel the whole thing will it? Or should I just buy two seperate tickets?

Lisa - Can you move me to Cat 12 GTY on the website and could you make sure I am still linked for dining. When DU checked they were not showing me as linked.

Thanks!

Good afternoon everybody!
I am loving watching y'all get better rates for the cruise! I keep thinking about downgrading to a windowless room and probably should but I just can't. I keep checking the prices in my category but they haven't really changed much since we originally booked in Aug '05. Well, they have gone up slightly.

I'm just tickled about your savings!!

My TA is out of the office. I asked Johnny what he thought of no window, he said we'd be up on deck alot!!
We have sailed with a window only 2 of our 7 trips. Honestly, we are not in our room except to sleep and dress. BUT we also do not have little ones that need to nap, so that is something to think about. Do you spend time in the room during naps, and if so how important is seeing outside during that time? Is the amount of money worth the tradeoff?

Wasn't your TA out of the office when the FL rates came out?? Your TA seems to work even less than ME!!

last year we had a double wide verandah and hardly used it at all! When and if the girls napped John slept and I was puttering around doing something!

I called my travel agency and they are calling DCL now. She will call me back with the info. DCL must be getting flooded with calls!

Funny story about autograph books...DS was 21 months on his first WDW trip. We bought him a new autograph book the night before we went to our first park and that was his “Mickey book”. He really liked it. WE went to the MK the next morning and the first character we see is Daisy Duck. DS looks a little nervous but he really wants to see her so we wait in line and he stands pretty close to us but you can tell he is getting pretty excited. He walks up to see her, nervous but happy. Then she takes the autograph book from him to sign it. You would have thought she kicked him! He was screaming “Mickey book, Mickey book, Mickey book…”. He thought she was taking his book. Some of the people there commented that he was awfully scared of Daisy. Nope – he just thought she was a thief! :rotfl: For the rest of the trip we just got pictures with the characters and the autograph book stayed safely behind in the stroller! ;)

Now that is a story to tell him over, and over, and over... :lmao:
