A friend of mine, and fellow VietNam Vet, was once asked what it was like to be in VietNam. His answer really hit home with me and made me realize why I was so stressed all of the time too. He said to think about the 'Scaredest' you ever been in your life, then multiply that by 24 hours a day for 365 days. THAT was it exactly. I did 2 tours and was a mess with me and I'll Kick Your A** kinda person and that was not good. SO, now I am DrHug, and have adapted to the PTSD on my own. It's just not worth it to stress to death. I still get tweaked once in awhile, by something or someone, but am able to instantly cool down. Not to say I was a bad guy running around looking for trouble, but I did have a temper problem and if someone mistreated someone in a bad way, or cussed in front of my kids, or was overtly threatening in any way, I was in their face. Laughter and not taking life so seriously is much better. AH, poor MrsMork. How she must have worried about me. :thanks: :offtopic: Sorry. But, hey....this is a good place to vent... I usually don't open up about that stuff too much. But...

I Feel Good.....................James Brown.

By the way....Happy Veteran's Day to all you Veterans out there. I was bunkered up for the weekend. And to all of the Awesome guys serving everywhere. I Salute you. I know the guys in Iraq and Afghanistan are feeling what I just described. God Bless you all.

DrHug -- I wish my FIL was still alive to chat with you. I think you two would have had some healing conversations together...

Thank you for your service!

OMG my child says "My Bad..."

as in yelling to me from her room to my office:

"Mom the song Winnie the Pooh is here more than once (in her iTunes library)..oh wait, no its different artists. My Bad!"

Oh my!

Does anyone know which comedians will be on our cruise?

Hi all! :wave2:

My but you've been a busy posting bunch the past few days! Tons to catch up on.

The comedian question reminded me of my one & only link to someone somewhat famous. I went to college with Taylor Mason, the comedian/ventriloquist that appears on the cruises from time-to-time. (He also won the top $100,000 prize on Star Search a zillion years ago.)

We hadn't seen each other since graduating until our first Disney cruise. I opened the Navigator one night and there was his face smiling back at me. We had a good time catching up and my boys were pretty impressed that their old Mom knew someone who could tell funny jokes! :rotfl:

Actually DH is more into fantasy than sci-fi I suppose but I don't like either so I have never really taken the time to figure out the difference. ;)

I know - I am teasing - it is our first cruise too. Several cruises down the road I'm sure I would be considering down grading too. LOL.

I am looking forward to our Navigator's verandah.

Jealous, jealous......have always wanted to try the Navigator verandah staterooms. The map, wooden bench, compass, etc. all look soooooo cool on the verandah! :thumbsup2

almost me, get rid of "ton" and add "in" -- WAIT I just gave away my identity!

I love the first WDW stories...WDW is so special to me....I am weird, I cry , to myself, on Main Street....that just is my granddad...as wellas Epcot, so much of his Epcot has changed. But for Samantha's bday we went to Coral Reef. I did well, I still cried (to myself) I have not set foot in there without him and Amber (my sister) left her bunny there, luckily they found it and kept it for us. (long ago)

Part of me still believes he is there somewhere. I never said goodbye. Did not get a chance, cancer does that. He never met my DH nor my girls. He always sat me down no matter my age and asked me "Vanessa, is there anything you need to tell me about?"...I think I was always so worried about pleasing him, I stayed good!!! (well ok, not always)

He and my Gma's love is like Angie and Dennis...they were crazy about each other!

:goodvibes

What's so not funny is that I had a job, pre By Pass, that was like that EVERY DAY ! I used to thrive on the stress until it almost did me in. It's bad when 100 people want it now, ALL AT ONCE!
My life but fortunately no by pass.

Limes are a very important part of the diet. What would a cold Corona be without one? AND Keylimes are important too. Key Lime Pie is the next best thing to Apple Annie's Apple Pie and Dumplings. To quote another DISer, whose name I won't mention, I am sucking back the drool!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

........My family could never afford it either, and I dreamed about it while watching the Wonderful World of Disney as a kid. My first trip there was with Amy (before we got married - visiting relatives in Florida).

I get that grin on my face EVERY time we get there, and EVERY time I see the Magic or the Wonder. If you are a sap, so am I. Count me in!

Don't tell DH I'm telling you this one. :rolleyes1

We went to Disneyland after the Panama Canal repo cruise last May. I'd been there for a day when I was in High School, but DH had never been. To go to Disneyland when he was little would've been like going to Mars......no way would his family ever be able to afford it.

He, too, grew up watching "Wonderful World of Disney", Davy Crockett, etc. So, we walked into the park and when we got to Frontierland, I looked over at him and he had tears in his eyes. (Of course, he'd tell you the sun was just momentarily causing his eyes to water.)

It was one of those magical moments. :goodvibes

V - I hope you start feeling better.

I was nosey and poked my head into the 12/2 cruise meet thread and it looks like some got their documents today so that means we should start seeing ours perhaps next week!!! :yay: I never got around to doing the on-line check in so I guess I will have the big stack of forms to fill out.

Yay! I can't wait to get the docs. Although I suspect I'll probably have problems since my TA no longer works at AAA and they can't seem to tell us who has our file now. :badpc: I wonder what will happen when the docs are sent to their office.
