Also DS has a low grade fever so he is not feeling great. Thankfully he took some Motrin without too much of a problem. He may be home tomorrow and if he is it will probably be me. I will work some from home but honestly I could use the break. Work is driving me crazy right now.

Yes I understand your pain.... Work has been AAAHHH for me lately and Monday while staying home with the boys I admit it was a nice break

since Samantha has been so obsessed with Titanic I wonder what she'll think of the drill this year.

We tried to explain to DS that he needed to wear the life jacket for the drill like Dora/Diego do when they are on a boat ("Life jackets so we can be safe". :thumbsup2 ) Well I think we confused him and he thought he was going to have to wear it the whole cruise. :rotfl: Thankfully he handled it all pretty well. The biggest problem we will likely have with him is getting him to be quiet so everyone arounds us can here. He will ask a million questions and no doubt he will be very excited to finally be on the ship.

I hope this is not a stomach bug. Those are the worst. I think I would rather be at work!

Last funny thought - Despite having joined in 2002 until I started interacting with you guys I was way under 1000, probably under 500 postings. Another acknowledgement on how you guys have corrupted me.

I too was well under a thousand posts before this thread. Don't know what I'll do after this thread has it's last post! :sad1:

That sounds like a great idea to me. A lot of work though. AND, anyone who is uncomfortable would not have to wear a name tag all of the time, or never, if that was their wish. I would like to have one. Thanks for the thought. (And that way I could remember who I am).

This could be important to us as we get older

Hi all! :wave2:

My but you've been a busy posting bunch the past few days! Tons to catch up on.

The comedian question reminded me of my one & only link to someone somewhat famous. I went to college with Taylor Mason, the comedian/ventriloquist that appears on the cruises from time-to-time. (He also won the top $100,000 prize on Star Search a zillion years ago.)

We hadn't seen each other since graduating until our first Disney cruise. I opened the Navigator one night and there was his face smiling back at me. We had a good time catching up and my boys were pretty impressed that their old Mom knew someone who could tell funny jokes! :rotfl:

:rotfl: Good thing he is really funny! :thumbsup2

My 2007 WDW Passporter arrived today. I'm starting to be bummed that we are not making our typical Dec trip.

Go ahead and cancel this cruise & go on that typical Dec Trip. You will then be able to go home and read our trip reports. ;)

That is the one good thing about those stomach bugs they usually don't last more than 24 hours but it is a miserable 24 hours. DS gets scared when he vomits and he doesn't want to use a bowl or anything and he can't get to the bathroom so it goes everywhere and then you have to calm him down, clean him up and clean the mess up. I have a sensitive gag reflex and I often cannot clean it up without getting sick myself. :sad2: When he was real little all he would ever do is throw up all over me. It was so gross....the things I have done for these kids. :sad2:

I really like Emmitt....I loved what he said last week I think, when all three couples were there somethign to the effect of these guys are both my calibur (on the football) level.

ok I priced the cruise for next year that we were thinking of
10/27 and 12/8 are the same price. 12/15 was quite a bit more. I was thinking of asking my boss to be off during close for Dec 07 but looking at the calander, I would be off the entire close...I have no back up and no one would be able to do my cash entries, thus big problems. I could almost have them finished by Friday night but that would mean staying here late that night and then probably rushing to the port the next morning. As much I as I really want to go on the 12/1 I just don't think I can make it work.
I don't know, I asked John and he's just "whatever you want babe".
I have even thought of maybe doing a 3 or 4 nighter earlier in the year and then a 7 nighter in 2008. I don't know...I would like to see the booking onboard prices though. Sometimes they are not as good as group rates.

The all nighter would be worth it to be with us vanessa!!!

I keep thinking that my dear!! Before we cruise I am going to broach the subject with my boss....who knows I may even have a new job by next Christmas! and 12/2 is our actual anniversary!

By the way....Happy Veteran's Day to all you Veterans out there. I was bunkered up for the weekend. And to all of the Awesome guys serving everywhere. I Salute you. I know the guys in Iraq and Afghanistan are feeling what I just described. God Bless you all.

Thanks for the words Dennis. We can never forget what the guys (like you) of our generation did nor can we forget the troops of today.

Latest estimate on the voice mail is 8:30 - 9:00 before I get the call to come in. I hope it is closer to 8:30 because I would really love to be back home by 11:00. I am still pretty tired from last night.
