12/04/08 3 night on the wonder: My Wedding Cruise!

Hi - I was wondering if it is still possible to sign up for the fish extender list? While DH and I have no kids, would love to trade gifts with others.

My DS and her husband will also be traveling with their 9 year old son and they would also like to be added to the extender list.

We are flying into Orlando on the 3rd and going straight to WDW and then staying at Animal Kingdom Villas. If plans permit, we would love to meet other DISers.

-Michelle

PS - the board will not let me send a PM.

SunnyBunny08 - :welcome: to our thread!! We would love to add you to our Fish Extender list. I'll send you a PM with my email address so you can email me.

Hi Michelle, from another Michelle:wave:

There is just myself and DH cruising this trip. We will also be staying at AKV before our Cruise. We will be there from the 1st Dec.

Hi everyone,

Lyckymomoftwo - Can you send us that spreadsheet? I don't think we got the updated one. I can send you our email again if you need it. Looking forward to meeting everyone!

Thanks...can't wait!

Hi all! Just checking in, and making sure our thread stays visible :goodvibes .

Running out of things to do and it's killing me! Here's my list:

  1. Book Palo - completed. DH & I will go night 2 at 7pm.
  2. Book spa treatment. Completed - surprising DH with Exotic Rasul
  3. Make shirts for our group. In progress - have personalized designs, ordered transfer paper, need to do the iron ons.
  4. Fish Extender - This is a big ole Incomplete on my list. Guess it's my next project!
  5. Pre-cruise stuff. Made ADR's, booked train tickets, booked 1st night offsite before checkin to Poly on 11/30. Need to complete obsessive compulsive personalized guidebooks I'm working on.

I freely and willingly admit I have a planning problem, but I like the people I'm travelling with to be a little amazed. :tinker:

I know the feeling!

I am in the process right now of making a video of our pictures from our last year's cruise on the Wonder! SO, that's been fun..it's the short verision for my Facebook friends...I had started the LONG verision..so, if time permits..I'll go back to it..complete it to surprise the kids on our drive down! :goodvibes

FE ideas are formed..it's a matter of getting them together..and using the biweekly Hobby Lobby coupons for supplies! :cool1:

Bummed:guilty: That my good friend who I thought would be be booking and traveling with me..in the last week admitted she is having seconds thoughts...:rolleyes1

I did make Caribbean Beach Resort reservations for the night before...got a good rate..and decided to change up from our past couple of years at The Pop...I just hope my 13 yr old doesn't have second thoughts before the cruise about missing 2 1/2 days of school...our plan is to leave town @ 11 on Wed in order to have a couple of pool hours at the resort.

Oh...I do have door signs to make...so, I need to organize my thoughts and ideas...get started having them sent to Wal Mart (non 1 hour) to save $ on printing..

I too have planning issues! I have almost as much fun planning as I do going..(not really)

Well....look forward to finding out in the next couple of weeks..our cabin number..and getting a finalized FE list...Back to video making...

I've been working on my list to.
1-Staying at All Star Sports night before
2-Palo reservations made for the first night
3-Atlantis reservation for day at Nassau :beach:
4-Fish Extender made + goodies purchased
5-Staying at the Yach Club for the week after the cruise
6-ADR's made for after cruise
7-:santa: Christmas Party tickets purchased :santa:
8-Make sure not to forget anything
CAN'T WAIT !!! :woohoo: :yay: :jumping1: :Pinkbounc :mickeyjum

Hi Guys:wave:

I had a panic the other day when I discovered that I had made our booking for Palo on the night that Toy Story was on:eek: We have not seen Toy Story yet:)
I got straight online and managed to book another night, had to change nights though.

I think we are all sorted now, just watching the ticker go down.

We have:-

3 nights at AKV before the cruise - ADR at Kona Cafe
Palo booked for first night of the cruise - no excursions as we are just planning on a relaxing cruise.
7 nights at VWL after cruise - ADR's at California Grill, 'Ohana & Boma
Surprise for DH (can't say as he reads the boards;))
MVMCP tickets bought, just got to pick them up when we get there.
Wishes Cruise - sharing with friends
1 night at HRH - Club level.

pirate: Can't wait.:santa:

Hi everyone! I just thought I'd stop by and say Hi! I have been away from the board for a few days...we had our 20 year high school reunion this weekend. I was busy with that from Thursday night to Sunday morning. I saw a lot of old friends, didn't realize just how much I had missed seeing my high school friends until I saw them. Had a few friends that weren't there...was bummed about that, but I've caught up with a couple of them on Facebook. So, now I have TWO websites that I'm addicted to! :lmao: So, now with the reunion being over, I can concentrate on the rest of my cruise planning. (As long as I can pull myself away from the Facebook website and the DISboards!)

What fun...20 yr reunion! I just reconnected with hs friends via Facebook and was asked by one just yesterday..."What ever happened to our 20th?"...Ours came and went a couple of years ago with NOTHING!
I think we've only had a 10th. I'm addicted to FB too!:surfweb: I feel rather childish when I get excited about "Notifications"!:cool1: Just yesterday my oldest turned 16 and I spent ALL morning uploading pictures of him through the years...OH...it was sweet...And, it got me lots of comments from friends too..so, that was doubly exciting for me.:lovestruc Today's task for FB is trying to upload my "Round The World 2008" video..this is my pictures from my week at The World this summer...I'm having problems..which I DON'T understand...anyone have :wizard: ?? I was able to successfully upload my last years Disney Cruise video..so, I'm determined to get it done today! Anyway, that frustration has held up my Door Sign progress...I am anxious to finish a few of them up & and some "surprises" so that I can send them to Wal Mart for printing (cheaply..so I can allow a week or so for their return) I might really be to impatience for that..but, that is my goal. This week is Hobby Lobby's 40% coupon..so, I need to plan a couple of trips for supplies..and move forward with putting together the FE "loot". Well, I better get productive on the "important" things...like making sure we have something for dinner tonight..so, I better shift my focus to that....

vllygrrl - We are arriving at the Poly on 11/30 too - hope to see you there! I believe IslandFamily is also staying there. Will you be taking the DCL bus to the port on Thursday?

I'm also with you on the obsessive compulsive planning.....I LOVE IT!
If I may ask, how are you making your personalized guidebooks? Sounds fun!

These last couple of weeks are really going to kill me! Since we're surprising the kids, I can only obsess about my excitement with DH and my fellow DIS'ers!:goodvibes

I'm even getting giddy with anticipation of the fact that our Cruise Docs/Luggage Tags etc. could possibly arrive as early as next week!:cool1:

Hi Vllygrrl & LJD 2143,

Yes, we are also arriving at the Poly on Nov 30th.

We can't wait. Our kids...Alyssa (10), Alex (13) and Dan (16) are excited too.

We have requested a room in the Tokelau building.

Maybe we will meet!

We are actually getting to FL via the Autotrain, so we will be driving ourselves to the port on Thursday, after an 8:30 breakfast at Chef Mickey's to say goodbye to WDW & the monorail! I hope we bump into you!

As for the guidebooks, I actually found a template online somewhere, but I can't remember where...I still am only around halfway complete, but it is fun. I plan to print them and get them bound at Staples before the trip.:surfweb:

Hi everyone,

Getting closer! We book our meals today. Reservations at Park Fare, Tusker House, Hollywood and Vive and San Angel. Thinking about Ohana and Nine Dragons too.

have to get moving on Fish Extenders!

Hi,

We typically go to Disney in March/April. This will be our first trip in Dec and our first cruise. Does anyone know what we should pack for clothes. I assume we will need clothes for warm days and slightly cool evenings as well as something dressier for events on the ship. Obviously we don't want to take too much but we want to be prepared too.

Thanks

If I remember correctly...the mornings and evenings in Orlando are cool..so, some sort of jacket...and the days are pleasant! As far as the ship...I try not to take too much..but, I usually need up with alot..but, since I drive from home..it's not a problem..only trying to make sense of it all in the cabin is a problem!:confused3 I pack a couple of bathing suits for the kids..as well as shorts for the daytime...something nice for dinner for 2 nights and our pirate outfits...I have Palo reservations..so, I'll pack something dressy for that...I always make sure the kids have sweaters for dinner too..I don't recall the nights outside being cool...I can wear my winter or summer clothes in the evening and be comfortable.......Hope that helps...

I am dreading the packing for this trip! We have gone in Sept for the past couple of years and it's been hot, hot, hot!! But at least the hot temps called for lighter clothing to pack.:sunny:
I'm afraid Dec temps could range anywhere from "very warm 80's" to "a bit chilly 60's"! Therefore, I plan on bringing everything from swimsuits to sweatshirts, and not to mention dinner attire for every night.:worried:
I tend to overpack, but with the luggage limitations of the airlines and the storage limitations of the staterooms, I really need to give serious consideration to each bag I pack! :scratchin

40 days until Poly:banana:
44 days until Wonder:banana:
