101 Ways My Son Entertained Himself at WDW--The Last Day--New 11/18

The kids meals at EofS are awesome, Ellie had a pizza sub which was adult size and as the name suggests a pizza in a sub :rotfl2: They also get a fountain drink (free refills) and a choice of brownie, cookie or cupcake. Again theis was another place we shared the portion sizes are huge, or us Brits are just wussy :rotfl2:

There's only one choice: Earl Of Sandwich.

I was torn between the two, but now that I see the muffins for dessert at Earl of Sandwich, I think I'll go there. We can take them back to the hotel for breakfast. We plan on going to Ghirardelli's for dessert that night, so we won't be eating them anyway.
Of course depending on that Ulimate margarita, DH may find me passed out on my sandwich! :rotfl:

Help you I will. :yoda:

Ok, listen up.

Here's the drill.

1. Go to Earl of Sandwhich, get your food.
1a. If line is long, don't worry, it moves very fast

2. Take food to tables and chairs located outside near the Cpt Jacks Margarita bar. If they are full, look up top around the corner, there are more here.
2a. The seats are along the water and offer beautiful views of the sunset. Plan accordingly.

3. Order your Ultimate Margarita and take it back to your table.

4. Eat, Drink, and enjoy one of the best meals in your life.

5. Relax and enjoy the hustle and bustle of the area.

6. Throw leftovers to hungry birds and squirrels.

7. If you're me, you order one more margarita to "go".
7a. If you're you, you don't.

Anyone have an opinion on Counter Services in Epcot? I need to pick one....
I was looking at Sunshine Seasons. It looks like we can all get what we want there.

Sounds good. I'm taking notes... But I have to go take the girls to dance now. :guilty:

World Showcase is the place to go.

I have a BUNCH of favorites. It's so hard to give advice not knowing what your family likes to eat.

I enjoy Counter Service at WS because then you can take your food to a picnic table by the lagoon.

I like Summerfest in Germany but they don't have much for children.

I like Yorkshire Counter at UK but all they have is Fish and Chips.

I like the Catina at Mexico. They have a pretty large selection.

Go here for all the menu's. http://www.allearsnet.com/menu/menus.htm

I've seen the menus, but I was concerned with the quality. We all love Chinese and Japanese. I like Mexican, but is it as good as we get here in S. Texas? :confused3 Have you eaten at any of the oriental places?

You know me- a planner, watching the Southwest deals like a hawk... Today they had a special (again!) that didn't help my price, but allowed me to switch to an earlier flight on the 1st without any fees. Now, we will get in about 2 instead of 7:30 at night. Cool beans, no? :thumbsup2

I called and got our Raglan Road (aka The Dusty Lamp) switched to that evening. Nothing like a nice meal to start a vacation. I wanted to get my Ohana night switched, but that didn't work out, so Raglan Road it is. I doubt we'll go to a park, so DTD was a good choice.

My problemo now is that we will be at DTD 2 other times and need to do a CS, should we take Buzz's advice and eat at Earl of Sandwich twice, or is there something else I shouldn't miss out on?

I also need some help with CS at the World Showcase. I'm mostly curious about quality. Have you eaten somewhere and found it was disgusting? Did you eat somewhere and loved it? We love Japanese and Chinese. The kids aren't a fan of sausages or fish... Thanks for your help. Buzz WAS helping me, but he left me hanging on the WS issue. :sad2:

Lucky you! I love that first day....nothing much to do but hang out, relax, eat, and imagine the fun ahead! I love Wolfgang Puck Express at DTD, I think it's reasonable for the food - some stuff we buy and share, like ds and I share a pizza and salad, usually DH goes to the Earl more than once,it's his favorite!
I love eating in Epcot, the outside Mexican place(hate the inside one) but the kids like the nachos,etc- Sunshine seasons in the Land, Norway has a great little bakery with sandwiches and sweets(school bread, yum!) usually for us it's lunch in Mexico, and a walk to Norway for dessert!
We've eaten the cs chinese, not so good, not so bad, just sort of -eh-
cs Japanese is quite good however, and love it- and cs Morocco is my personal fave! I'm a huge fan of hummus, pita, and roasted meat though-
fish and chips in England is ds's must-do-
And there are mc'D's fries and nuggets in Canada(yawn)

Oh....from one hsmama to another:rotfl2: we arrive on the 5th....now I've seen your pictures,I might recognize you, being in the world at the same time and all!:rotfl:
Haven't read al posts, are you going to be there for the homeschool days?

Thanks for the help. Maybe the best thing is to let each person eat what sounds best. I'm glad to hear that Japan's CS is yummy. I miss sushi, etc. We moved from a big city to a small town about 15 months ago and I can't get decent Chinese or Japanese here. :guilty:

:confused3 When are homeschool days? Where can I get info? We'll be there from the 1st through the 8th. What parks are you going to?

I'm gonna try Wolfgang Pucks this time. And we like Yakitori Place in Japan for CS. We did not like Electric Umbrella. Oh--we liked the Moroccan CS too.......at least I did..I can't remember BA liking it and they gave her free baklava (which she didn't like, so of course, I had to eat it too! )

Tangerine Cafe is my FAV WS CS spot! We also like Yakatori but the portions were kinda small. There's also lots of yummy stuff to be had in Norway too!

As far as DTD I love WGPXpress! We just ate there last week and it didn't disapoint. I do wanna try Cookes of Dublin eventually tho!

Way to go on the plane deal!!!

WOW! I have some catching up to do here

It looks like you have a really good plan put together. Good call on switching your fly-in day and extending your trip! Love the pics of your fam and the hilarious shots of you at the wax museum :rotfl2:

We're going to be starting our trip just as you are ending yours, so I hope to hear some wonderful things about your experiences there.

Have a fantastic day! :thumbsup2
