Since I did all my handy dandy planning, I have since made a few changes. But now that I'm saying a few... I can only remember one. :sad2: Oh! Once I started typing out the daily schedule, I remembered! The other addition is that I'm giving my hubby a gift certificate to the Richard Petty Driving Experience for Christmas. I should I say riding along experience? I wish he could drive, but that's not happening this trip...
Once a discount code came out last week, I was able to talk hubby into an extra day. :woohoo: We were flying in so late on the 2nd, that we wouldn't get to the hotel until about 1 a.m. Everyone would be grouchy the next day, except me, of course! I only took that flight because it was the only one Southwest was offering that day for $99.
Now that we decided to go on the 1st, I found a flight that would get us in more like 7p.m., and only cost $200 to switch all 5 tickets. With the code we got park hopper (who knows if we will even use this since I planned each day in one park), water parks (uh, no... not us Texans) and More (cool) with a room discount. The discount equalled about half of the price of one night with dining. So, it just seemed the smart thing to do to add a day and night. :dance3:

I can't remember because I'm following 25 reports but are you renting a car?

Let me know and I'll fix your schedule for you. :snooty:

Nope. We're not renting a car. Why? What would you change? I'm open to suggestions, but only for a little while, since I want to type out my plans and print them for my travel book... :surfweb:

My rental car bill for 13 days was $310. Just a heads up. Renting a car is cheap.

It all looks good. Just make sure to hit the Ultimate Margarita at Cpt Jacks Margarita Bar. One is all you need. They are the best!

If you had a car, I would have recommended a change of dinner plans on the first night. Without one, stick to your plan.

I did add the margarita to my plan. That's big, man. I don't think we will make it to POR for dinner... My kids are used to eating at 5 (CST) and we won't land until 6:30ish CST. Maybe if I pack them full of snacks on the plane they will wait a bit. :confused3 If we don't use it, we'll be short a CS meal. Can't have that!

Take a sack of Mickey-D's on the plane with you. ::yes:: Gud and gud for you.

If you end up short a CS meal you could always get some sandwiches from Earl of Sandwich to bring on the plane with you, thats what we did and it worked out well! But the plans look good!

Great plans HS, with the CS we found that if we all got a meal it was just far to much food, so what we did was shared a lunch CS and then shared some breakfast CS too :thumbsup2

Oooh! That's true. Since the kids will be too hungry to wait to eat dinner, I can just save the CS for the a.m. one day... Thanks!

Hey HS--how much was the Richard Petty thing? DH asked if that was included in the ticket upgrade.......I said no and left it at that!
Where are you eating at DTD? (see, that stands for Down Town Disney now! ;) )

Are you eating at DQ (not Dairy Queen!)

To ride along, it's $99. To drive yourself it's $399. You can details at www.800bepetty.com

We'll eat at Wolfgang Puck's for CS and Raglan Road for a TS.
I don't actually plan on going to DQ. I figure I'll be happy drinking and shopping on my own or with the girls. I know DS will want to go with his daddy to DQ.

Oh, well, still pretty high at $99, but probably one of those cool male things to try!

I don't think I'll mention it again........he wants me to go down to a 4 day ticket so we can save money for the Pirate party........let's see......that makes a $12 savings on the tickets and a $136 pirate party.....not even sure the Fuzzy Math people can help with that one!

What is Wolfgang pucks like? I need some counter ideas for DTD. (still makes me laugh at the abbreviation!) :lmao:

It is pretty pricey... But when I call it a Christmas gift, I don't mind as much. Although we don't spend $100 on each other normally.

I went to All Ears Menu List and checked each menu. I've heard good things about Earl of Sandwich too. My thoughts are "what will the kids eat?" and "is it something I can get at home?" My kids will be eating pizza and mac-n-cheese all week, I think!

DTD... :rotfl:
