So what have I been up to in the last week since my latest update?? Disney planning!! No sillies, not May Disney planning... November Disney planning!! But I'll get into all of that after a few May updates!
A few things checked off the "to do" list!
- I got our Memory Maker card in the mail and packed it away! It says on it that only the person who's responsible for the account can use it... but surely I can give it to my MIL when she and my FIL take the girls to Chef Mickey's, right?? That's what I was planning to do since you get the photo package with the meal, but I'll (obviously) have my magic band! Let me know what you guys think! Think it will be a problem??
- I got the last Pick-a-Pearl Cinderella's Carriage necklace delivered a few days ago! I've now got 3 matching ones for myself, Addie and my MIL! We are giving my MIL hers as her Mother's Day present... but she won't know about it! In her card it tells her that she has a surprise on our arrival day at Disney!
- I went ahead and ordered a cake to be delivered to the table after dinner on our arrival day for my FIL's birthday! I plan to just get a small one at the food court at Pop for Harper on her birthday, but I thought it would be nice for him to have his own on his birthday! I thought he'd get a kick out of it! Thanks to our TA for taking care of that... now only if she'd mail me our Mickey Mail... grrrrrr!
- I made my MIL's "Grandma" shirt! We're going to give both my FIL and MIL their shirts today... if I can find my FIL's shirt! I'm sure it's in my room somewhere, but I have no idea where it got to! It probably under the pile of "to pack" stuff on my dresser! Sorry no pics! I'll post them later, I promise!
- Bought some little handheld fans to go along with our Disney Parks squirt bottle fan we bought last trip at
Walmart for like $2 each! They really put out some air too! Thinking about going back and buying a few more for my in laws.
- Typed out our "Still to Pack" and "Still to Buy" lists! Now... I've gotta go downstairs and pull out our big suitcase so I can start packing some of mine and my DH's stuff!
- Bought a few clothing things like a couple pairs of shorts and another Mickey shirt... yes, another one for me! That makes 8 Disney shirts for me! I'm almost as bad as the kids!
And then my DH bought a few things too!
Besides making Addie's last skirt (I don't know why I seem to have such a problem getting it made! It seriously takes like 30 minutes, but I can't seem to get motivated!), we just have a few things left to buy and a bit of packing to do!! I can't believe we're so close!!!!!
Now... onto some November trip planning! I don't think I'll be doing a PTR for this trip since I'm sure I'll have a May TR to write and it's a short trip... so I'll do a little "Mini PTR" right here for you!
May 11th was quickly approaching and it made me realize that I hadn't "officially" booked my Wine and Dine 1/2 girls trip! So 2 days ago I booked 4 nights, November 7th-11th at Pop Century as a room only reservation! We will be buying park tickets through runDisney's website and our dates weren't included in Free Dining anyways, so a Room Only was the obvious choice!
Why was May 11th such an important day to book by?? Because that's my ADR date! Woohoo!!! I was supposed to work all night, but got to come home early... so it was perfect to make ADR's! And this would be why this post is picture lacking... just trying to buzz through it so I can go to bed!!! So what ADR's did I make?? I didn't pick exactly what I wanted (but I don't mind them at all!) because I thought that since I'm about to be there for 10 days, I'd let the two that aren't pick where they'd like to eat! I'll tell you the ADR's in my little "Daily Plan" section coming up... right now!
Friday, November 7th
- Take an early flight down.
- Check in and wait for the other 2 girls to get there!
- Race Expo to pick up packets
- Resort hop to check out some resorts
- Check out the Boardwalk since I've never been there
- Dinner at Downtown Disney CS (EoS or WPE)
Saturday, November 8th
- 9:35am breakfast ADR at Whispering Canyon Cafe (SIL's pick)
- Go back to Pop and chill out/rest up for our exhausting night!
- Lunch at AoA... create your own pasta!
- Head to the Starting Line!
- 10:00pm WINE AND DINE 1/2 MARATHON TIME!!!! Holy moly... I still can't believe I'm doing this!
- I don't think we'll really participate in the post race party... thinking we're going back to crash for our long next two days!
Sunday, November 9th
- Sleep in and get ready
- Head to the Magic Kingdom!! My sister only gets to do one park with us, so of course we will be going to MK! You can't do Disney without going to there. I even asked my DH, "If you could pick only one park to visit, what would it be?" He didn't even blink an eye and said, "Magic Kingdom! That IS Disney!" I hope she loves it!
- Lunch at BOG. We couldn't get a dinner ADR here that my SIL wanted, but I don't mind. She'll be able to get inside the Beast's castle and see the restaurant and we will be able to try something else out for dinner! This would have been my 4th trip in a row eating dinner there... so I'm a little relieved to be trying something else! No offense to it because I do LOVE it... I think I need a change! Ha ha!
- 5:00pm dinner ADR at Tony's Town Square (my sister's pick). This will be new to me too!
- Castle Lighting Show!!! I picked a 5:00 dinner ADR in hopes that we're finished with dinner before the show starts. I've read that it usually starts at 6:30, so I think we'll be done in time! It may be our only time to see it and I KNOW it will be my sister's only time!
- Stay until park close. Right now park close is 10pm, but there is EMH until midnight. Last year park hours were extended to midnight... so it could potentially be open until 2am!
MK Plans: Ride as many rides and see as many shows we can! Gotta pack it all in one day for my sister! And most definitely WISHES and MSEP!!!
Monday, November 10th
- Say good-bye to my sister bright and early... she has to take the earliest flight out to get back and go to work! YUCK!! I'd much rather have mine and my SIL's plans...
- Epcot!! Try to get there at park opening and stay there until a little before 4:00pm. This is the last day of the Food and Wine Festival, so we will be spending the majority of our time back in the World Showcase. We will definitely be FP+ Soarin' because I can't go to Epcot without going on that ride! If we get there early enough we will head straight to Test Track or we will do Single Rider line if we don't.
- 5:00pm dinner ADR at 'Ohana! (SIL's pick... but I would have picked it too!)
- Head straight to the Magic Kingdom after dinner for... Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party!!!! Hopefully we will save room for cookies and hot chocolate! And of course we will stay until park close!
Big Plans for the day: Epcot Food and Wine Festival booths and
MVMCP!!! Can't wait!!!
Tuesday, November 11th
- Check out and head home...
There you have it!! I absolutely CAN'T wait for this trip and I can't believe that I already have another one booked and ADR's made BEFORE I even go on my big vacation!!!! Hopefully that will ease the P.D.D. a little!
11 days? That is going to fly by!
