10 Nights, 9 Days, 2 Birthdays and 1 Magical May 2014 Vacation! **Complete 6-10**

great movie night! love your green pancakes! and the eye (is it a cookie?) looks perfect! looks like a fun time!

It is! It's a normal sized Oreo split apart and with the white side up, then I got a mini Oreo and split it apart and stuck it there for the pupil! Wish I could say it was my idea, but thank you internet! :)

Oh man... I was feeling super ambitious and thought I was going to post BOTH movie nights AND the girls outfits tonight. Uh yeah, definitely NOT going to happen! You know how long it takes 40 pics to upload to Photobucket?!? :confused3 Ridiculous! So just one update tonight, but that means you've got more to look forward to! Ha ha! :rotfl:

Before we get into the movie night I thought I'd share our countdown calendar I made! Walmart apparently has Disney paint, so I took 30 different paint cards because they were nice and bright and colorful! When I took them I still had no idea what I was going to do with them. Luckily, the idea kind of came to me on the fly and it turned out pretty cute!

Starting at 30 days out, each day one of the girls will pick off a Mickey head and underneath it will either be an activity to do, a question for them or a fun fact about Disney World! Obviously Addie will get more out of this than Harper, but I'm sure they'll both love plucking off the Mickey heads!

And what's even more exciting is... TODAY is 30 days out!!! :cheer2::cool1::cheer2: I can hardly believe it!! I made a trip to Target today to grab "little" things for our trip. So all of our "extra" things are pretty much taken care of, just a handful of things left to get! AND I grabbed one of the suitcases and packed a bunch of toiletries and separated out all of our "park bag" stuff and the girls "airplane bag" stuff! Just a few more toiletries to pack, basically our stuff we use on a daily basis and then just our clothes! I'm in a pretty good spot I think!

Okay... onto the Movie Night!

Thursday April 17th... Cinderella

Tonight was Cinderella! One of our favs... I mean, who doesn't love Cinderella!? On the menu was Cinderella's Carriage pasta, Gus's Garlic Bread, Strawberry Soup (1900 Park Fare recipe!) and Magic Wands for dessert! It didn't turn out exactly how I envisioned, but close enough! For the life of me, I could not find wheel shaped pasta so I had to settle for a honeycomb shape. And then the garlic bread was supposed to be "Starry Night" bread... but the bread I got was too small for my cookie cutters! Oh well! Gus needs some love too I guess. :)

And here are the pics!

There you have it! Next up... Movie night #12 and the girl's outfits!

Saturday, April 19th... Fox and the Hound

Unfortunately I didn't get many pics of this movie because it was pretty much just Addie and I for dinner! Crabby pants Harper was still taking a nap and daddy was at a friend's co-ed baby shower... I'm sure we had more fun! :rotfl:

On the menu was Copper's Chicken Coup "Fried" Chicken (a baked "fried" chicken), Tater "Todds" and Chicken Feed. It was DELICIOUS!!! I tried a new recipe for the chicken and it was so yummy!

Notice anything missing?!? We lost our first front top tooth! Looks like we'll have a toothless grin in our Disney pics this year! And just in time for Easter. She was so excited that the Tooth Fairy was going to get to hitch a ride with the Easter Bunny! So cute!

Then it was time to watch the movie! Daddy did make it back in time to watch the movie with us!

It was such a fun night! But of course, when we were finished watching the movie it was time to hop in the tub and go to sleep because the Easter Bunny and Tooth Fairy were going to be making their appearance tonight!

Cute!! You guys are making me want to do movie nights too. Maybe we will. Caden has a lot of movies to watch before our trip! Lol

Whew! I didn't think I'd get to all of these posts today... but I'm on a roll! I had to let the computer upload to Photobucket while I slept last night, but then had to get in there and resize ALL these pics! That definitely took a minute! And of course I have too many pics to put them all in one post! So this is going to be a 2 part update!

So here are the girls outfits for every day! I still have my MIL's shirt to make because I have to run out and grab a different size (I'm sure glad I made her try it on before I made it!) and then make one more skirt for Addie... but the girl's shirts are all done!

Arrival Day... Thursday, May 22nd
- Check-in and hang out at Pop
- Head to Epcot for the late afternoon/evening
- Dinner at Akershus

This is the outfit both girls will be wearing! They will be matching today. Then I will be throwing the Rapunzel and Belle princess dresses in a Space Bag and putting it in our carry-on bag just in case it takes the ME a bit to drop off our bags. They will change into those for dinner!

Friday, May 23rd
- Magic Kingdom Day... 24 hour party!
- BBB appointment for Addie at 11:00
- Dinner at 1900 Park Fare

Addie on left and Harper on the right!

Addie got a sewing machine for her birthday and when she found out I was making her some skirts, she HAD to bring the skirt that she made herself! So the skirt with this outfit is the one she made! :) Addie will of course be changing into her new Aurora dress for the BBB and we will be giving Harper her birthday present a little early because it's a Cinderella dress! If Harper wants to change after Addie gets dressed up, we'll let her... but I'm thinking she'll just change into her dress before dinner at 1900 Park Fare!

Saturday, May 24th
- Magic Kingdom with our friends
- Dinner at Be Our Guest

Addie on left, Harper on right

They will be wearing these shirts with jean shorts.

Sunday, May 25th
- Epcot all day with our friends
- Dinner at The Garden Grill

This is the skirt I still need to make of Addie's... but this is the fabric! It's hard to tell, but in the little decal on the "belly" there is light purple and the fabric is the same color! I just couldn't find the right shade of light blue for it... :(

Monday, May 26th
- Harper's Birthday!!
- Memorial Day
- No park today
- Breakfast at 'Ohana

Tuesday, May 27th
- Animal Kingdom Day
- Dinner at Whispering Canyon Cafe

Wednesday, May 28th
- Hollywood Studios Day
- Dinner at 50's Prime Time
- This is the first day we can wear our "family" shirts!

I still have to make my MIL's shirt... but imagine the "Grandpa" shirt with a red Minnie bow with white polka dots on it and it says "Grandma". That's what hers looks like! As soon as I make it I'll post a pic! The girls will be wearing black jersey shorts with their shirts.

Thursday, May 29th
- MK or HS in the morning
- MIL and FIL "date" day
- Dinner at 'Ohana
- Rapunzel and Cinderella M&G FP+

Addie on left, Harper on right.

They will both be wearing grey jersey shorts with these shirts.

Friday, May 30th
- MK in the morning
- Mine and DH's "date" day (afternoon into evening)
- Anna and Elsa M&G FP+
- Dinner at Chef Mickey's (MIL, FIL and girls)

Addie on left, Harper on right

We will be bringing their Anna and Elsa dresses too... so they may wear these for the M&G and take them off if they want after.

Then here are the shirts they're wearing to Chef Mickey's! I think they turned out soooo cute!

I'm thinking they'll wear black shorts with these.

Saturday, May 31st
- Our last day... :(
- Breakfast at Hollywood and Vine
- Then to Epcot
- Ending up at MK for the Dessert Party!

They'll be wearing jean shorts with these. And we're bringing their Sofia the First dresses... so they'll wear those at Hollywood and Vine!

There you have it!! When I pack mine and Derek's bags I'll have to take a pic of some of my shirts and post them!

Cute!! You guys are making me want to do movie nights too. Maybe we will. Caden has a lot of movies to watch before our trip! Lol

You should! We've had a lot of fun doing them! Although... I think maybe next time we'll do one every other week instead of every week! It's been a lot of work! Ha ha!

You have been updating crazy today! :) Love the outfits. We are in MK on the 24th and AK on the 27th! Maybe we will run into each other. Of course we are both at pop, so we may see you at the pool.

I know I have! Ha ha! Finally had a little time on my hands where I wasn't making shirts or skirts! :rotfl:

Maybe we will! I know Addie's plan is to swim every day during "rest time"... we'll see about that! Depends on how crabby she is!

So many cute things! Love both movie nights! I thought Cinderella was hard to plan food for, I like what you came up with! Love all your girls outfits! Planning the outfits is half the fun isn't it? I love that Addie made her own skirt! I can not wait to teach Charlotte to sew.

Your countdown is so cute! It is so awesome you are already at 30 days! I am so excited for you guys!

Addie loves her sewing machine! She'd be on it all the time if I'd let her... she still needs help with it, so it's more of a project for me at this point than it is her. Ain't nobody got time for that! Ha ha!

Cinderella was hard! I've come across a few that I've really had to think hard about. A few coming up are really throwing me for a loop... I may have to change out the movie! Ha ha! Luckily, this week is SUPER easy for me!

so many things to comment on!

30 DAYS!!! that is so exciting! I love your countdown idea and mickey paint chips--cute!

LOVE all the shirts and skirts! the girls are going to look so cute. can't wait to see what you're wearing too. and I love that addie loves her sewing machine--that's so sweet. and how awesome that she's taking a skirt that she made--she'll be so proud of herself! (but I do get how it's a project for you more than her--I feel that way with some of the art kits the kids get).

I know, right!? I kind of bombarded you all with updates today!

Only thing with the strawberry soup, I saw a tip to add sugar while blending it! It definitely needs some to sweeten up some!

I'm following along. I'm in nursing school and my mom is a nurse so I know what those 12 hour shifts are like. I love ur plans! We will b there the same time. If we see u I will say hi!

Happy to have you here! You definitely should say hi! Good luck with the rest of nursing school! Yes, 12 hour shifts are brutal... but they do allow you to take a vacation without having to "take" a vacation! One I the awesome things about being a nurse... lumping your days at the beginning if one week and the end of the other and you have 8 days off!

Yay! So close!!!

I adore the Frozen mickey/minnie head shirts you made. Wow! Your family shirts are adorable, too, you'll look so great!

I think it's so sweet Addie made her own skirt. :) I can see how that is more work, for you though! :rotfl:

Thanks! The girls both love the Anna and Elsa ones! I've had to hide them from the *almost* 3 year old because she will throw a fit wanting to wear it! No way is she getting her hands on it before Disney! :rotfl:

We are so close! And you're even closer than us!! So exciting!!

So I'm sure you saw this, but just in case you didn't, the 4th fastpass thing is going into effect in 5 days! So you'll be able to get more after using yours on your trip. Also, you can hop to another park and get more there if you want. Nothing like changing the game on you right before your trip.

http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2014/04/mymagic-adding-even-more-magic-to-fastpass/

I did see this!! And of course it's got my head spinning. Most of our days we had 2 FP+ booked for the late morning/early afternoon and then one booked after our "rest" time. I'm wondering now if I should bump up that evening one to an earlier one. I could try to schedule a FP+ in the park then for us to use after rest time right before we leave the park. Ughhh!!! I don't know what to do! It makes sense to do so... but then what if all that is left over when we get back is just that, left overs. And is this going to make the standby lines at Rope Drop that much longer since more people are surely going to be scheduling FP+ early to be able to pull more FP+ earlier? I have soooooo many questions still!! But I am excited for being able to park hop with it!!!

So now I'm contemplating... do I switch my FP+ now or wait until Monday to see how it goes down. And you're exactly right... nothing like changing the game on me right before my vacation! At least I'll have like 3 weeks to learn from others mistakes.

Disney is officially making me lose my mind... :dance3:

The news of pulling more than 3 Fast Passes and being able to "hop" with FP+ broke yesterday... so of course I've been racking my brain trying to figure out what in the heck I'm going to do. Luckily most of our FP+ were done by 1:30 anyways, but there were 2 days that we had 1 evening FP+ for no real reason other than to break up our FP+ throughout the day. So I wasn't really sure if I even wanted to mess with it!

Then I just found out about an hour ago that FP+ times were released for May parades and fireworks!! So I decided just to play around and check it out... and all of my questioning regarding even changing our FP+ pretty much answered itself! I was able to book us a Festival of Fantasy Parade FP+ and thought, "If I can still pull a Haunted Mansion or POTC FP for later in the day, grabbing this parade FP is a no brainer!" So I did it.

Old FP+ for 5-23
Splash 9:30-10:30
Haunted Mansion 1:05-2:05
BTMRR 4:05-5:05

New FP+ for 5-23
Splash 9:30-10:30
Festival of Fantasy Parade 11:45-12:05
BTMRR 1:15-2:15

They are offering the Festival of Fantasy Parade twice this day thanks to the 24 hour party! The noon parade works soooooo much better for us due to us going back to Pop to "rest". So when I saw I could get a FP+ for the noon parade, I had to grab it! I swapped out HM for FoF because I figured that it was a FP+ I would probably be able to book after using our original 3. Surely I'll still be able to pull a FP+ for HM, POTC or Jungle Cruise!

The thing I worried about changing our FP+ was that everything after we used our 3 would be "left overs"... but these 3 I'd be okay with getting later on in the day! I'm hoping it will all work out okay! We'll be there at 6:00 this day so we *should* be able to squeeze a bunch of "E ticket" rides in before thestand by line gets too terribly long!

So then I figured, if I'm changing the 1 day with the later FP+, I might as well change the other one! So the other day I changed is our May 24th. This is the day we're doing MK with our Miami friends.

Old FP+ for 5-24
ETWB 10:20-11:20
Splash Mtn (7DMT??) 11:20-12:20
Space Mountain 4:35-5:35

New FP+ for 5-24
Space Mountain 10:20-11:20
Splash Mountain 11:20-12:20
ETWB 12:50-1:50

So now hopefully we'll be able to book something for later in the evening after "rest time". I moved up both of the potential "Andrea's going to lose her lunch" rides to before lunch and then I'm hoping we can do ETWB right at 12:50 so we can still leave MK by 1:30 for rest time.

We still have days where we have evening FP+, but I'm keeping them because of how well they work with our schedules. Crossing my fingers I made the right decision regarding our FP+! And now I'm leaving them alone... until when/if the 7 Dwarfs Mine Train becomes available!! :rotfl:
