10 Nights, 9 Days, 2 Birthdays and 1 Magical May 2014 Vacation! **Complete 6-10**

I think your new FP sounds great! I can't believe that 7 dwarves isn't up yet--that would be driving me nuts! what does the FP for the parade get you? I've never booked one for a parade.

Ughhh... yeah. It's driving me crazy. The only piece missing to our vacation puzzle is the 7DMT! I'm REALLY crossing my fingers that they announce something after the media event! That would be PERFECT! Then I can stop obsessively stalking the Facebook groups!

I'm pretty sure it's for a preferred viewing spot in the hub for the parade. I think it's inside of the circle... at least that's what I've read from other people!

Before we hop into the whole movie night update, just wanted to share something with you... MAGIC BANDS!!!

(Please bear with some of the pics in this post! Some are from my phone!)

Oh my gosh... Harper LOVED her Magic Band! Which was great because I was really worried that she wouldn't want to wear it at Disney. Not that it's super important that she does because hers is just for show, but I was hoping that she would love it! It looks too stinking cute on her! Even cuter is that she calls the Mickey head on it "Minnie" because hers is pink. Lol! She says me, Addie and herself all have "Minnies" and daddy has "Mickey". She's something else!

So glad to finally have them... makes me feel like our trip is really about to happen!!! :cheer2: Now, if we could only get the rest of our Mickey Mail from our TA! Now, onto our movie night!

Friday, April 25th... Mulan

I think this was Addison's favorite movie night... why? Because of course we had Chinese food! Not only was it Chinese food, we took a field trip and ate dinner out! Went to Addie's local favorite... the China House Buffet. Ha ha! :rotfl: Look closely... you'll see Harper is STILL wearing her Magic Band! I had to pry it off her before her bath that night and promptly put it back in the box and hid it!

You'll have to bear with the restaurant pics... my family decided I was NOT going to be bringing the camera in the restaurant so I had to take them on my phone. Oh, I can only imagine what they think when I refuse to let them eat until I have a picture of their food at Disney! Ha ha! :rotfl2:

So yummy! I don't have any pictures from the actual movie because I forgot the camera in the car! But of course we loved it... and of course it was Derek's first time watching it!

Harper always cracks me up, I am pretty sure she and Charlotte are meant to be BFFs!:rotfl:

Love your Mulan movie night! My favorite are always the ones where take out or eating out is the menu!:rotfl:

I think so too! But... that might require them actually speaking to each other on play dates eventually! Ha ha!!

All caught up. Love Love Love all of the outfits!!! My DD (7) loves them too. She was next to me as I was reading the post and hoping that they were shirts for our trip.

So cute that your daughter got to sew her own skirt. She is already miles ahead of me in that regard.

Love the movie nights. We actually watched Mulan for the first time over the weekend. I haven't gotten around to planning a menu to go along with the movies but your posts are serving as inspiration so maybe I will make at least one happen before our trip.

Wow, your trip is almost here!!!

Oh no!! That's so funny she was hoping they were hers! Well, I'm glad to see that they're "kid approved" too!

I would have LOVED to have my own sewing machine when I was her age! She's going to be a great seamstress by the time she's my age!

Most of our movie night menus have been so easy! And I must say... Google and Pinterest are my best friends! As much fun as we've had... I'm glad we only have 3 left! Ha ha! I'm ready for a break!

Wow, your trip is almost here!!!

I know!! I can't believe it is so close!!! My DD's last day of school is 3 weeks from today and in 22 days from now we'll be in Japan picking a pearl! I am sooooo excited!

Thanks again for following along!

yay, Chinese food! Addison has good taste! (and a night with no cooking--even better!)

I love that harper is so excited about her "Minnie". Hannah wore hers for a couple days when we got back last time. I guess it wasn't as fun at home though where there are no light up mickey's to scan it on...

I love that picture of addie carrying harper into the restaurant--what a good big sister!

We hadn't been to the Chinese restaurant in forever! So it was great! And NOT cooking was definitely the best part!

What do you mean there are no light up Mickey's when you get home?!?! :)

Harper was being the typical 2 *almost* 3 year old that night. She was so crabby! Most of the time Addison makes things worse... but there are times where she's the only one that can "fix" her! That night was one of those times!

:cheer2::cheer2: 3 weeks left until we're in sunny Orlando!! :cheer2::cheer2: By the time this posts it will pretty much be 20 days! I can't even believe that all this planning and waiting is almost over! So let me update you on what's been going on!

We placed our Garden Grocer order a few weeks ago! Here's what we'll be getting delivered... 2 bottles of Orange, Strawberry, Banana juice (we got this last trip and LOVED it!), Strawberry Nutri-Grain bars, Chocolate Chip Granola Bars, 2 - 1/2 Gallons of Milk, big bag of sliced apples, 6 bananas, big box of Goldfish and 1 lb. bag of pretzels. I think I'll pack a few other things in our carry-ons like mini boxes of cereal (the girls both love dry cereal that I thought that would be something easy for those early Rope Drop mornings!), squeezable applesauce, fruit snacks and GUM! So that's all set to be delivered fro 8am-10am on our arrival day, so it should get there right before we check in!

I printed out May's "Entertainment" Schedule for Pop Century! Our no park day (Memorial Day) is Harper's birthday and we'll be eating breakfast at 'Ohana that morning. We planned to hang out and swim and watch the movie by the pool that night, which just so happens to be...

Lilo and Stitch!!!

How perfect is that!?!? AND they're showing Frozen on Fridays... and the grandparents are taking the kids to Chef Mickey's on a Friday so looks like they'll probably come back to the resort and watch Frozen. :) Addie is pretty excited!

And then I also just bought our Memory Maker tonight! So I think all the "big" things are pretty much done!

All we've got left to do is finish packing, go out and buy a few things for myself and Derek, make my MIL's shirt (which I need to go out and buy her shirt tomorrow!!), make Addie's skirt, buy a few little odds and ends like coffee pods (one of the other ladies traveling in May is leaving Pop on the 24th and is giving us her coffee pot she's buying for her room! How nice is that of her!?), AA batteries for our portable fan, swim diapers and other little things.

Ahhhh!!! When you start to think of odds and ends, you know you're getting close to your trip!!!! I can't believe it!

Now onto the pictures I promised a few of you on Facebook! On Monday I saw that the Disney Store online restocked their supply of "Midnight with Mickey" Vera Bradley bags!! My hubby told me that he was going to get me one for my birthday (back in February) and even talked to our friend who went over President's Day weekend to get one for me... but she couldn't find one anywhere! So he told me that when we went on our trip, I could buy one. With the news of a new pattern coming out, I didn't think there was any way I was going to be able to find one and was pretty bummed by that! So when I saw them on Monday, I immediately called my husband and not only did he tell me to buy the bag for my birthday, he told me to go ahead and buy the OTHER bag I wanted too for Mother's Day! He's the best hubby in the World! I just got them in the mail tonight!!! Here they are...

I got the tote and the duffel! Here's the pics and a close up pic of each pattern! :lovestruc I'M IN LOVE!!! :lovestruc

Up next... what is momma gonna wear?? :confused3

So what am I going to wear!? I don't have a set "plan" like the girls do, but I have gotten a few new shirts! I think I've gotten 4 new shirts and then I've got 3 from before than I'm planning on wearing. Here they are!

New ones

Old Ones

I thought I had one more "old" shirt... but I can't seem to find it. It's probably hanging out with all but 1 pair of my shorts since I can't seem to find them either!! Dang! Looks like I'm going to be cleaning out my closet and if I still can't find them, this girl will be buying some shorts!

I'll be bringing some "normal" shirts too... yeah I know, how boring. Ha ha! :rotfl: And then I'll be bringing a couple new dresses I got from Old Navy (for like $12-$15 each!) for mine and Derek's date night. I figured I'll get dressed up for Epcot and some drinking of adult beverages! :)

Everything sounds good but I can't get past those beautiful bags! Love them! Looks like you got great Mickey placements!
I also have that little mermaid shirt and I LOVE it! So cute! Love your momma outfits.

Sounds like you are all ready to go. It will be here before you know it!

I'm sure you've all heard the news that the 7 Dwarfs Mine Train is opening up May 28th! While we're there!!!! I am sooooooo flipping excited! Then not even 15 minutes after hearing the "official" date they released FP+ for it! I snagged 2 for it!! So I will be updating my FP+ post... but here are my new FP+!

May 30th
Old: Speedway 11:05-12:05
New: 7DMT 11:20-12:20

Anna and Elsa AND the 7DMT on the same day! I'm dying!!

May 31st
Old: BTMRR 4:30-5:30
New: 7DMT 4:50-5:50

This really is going to be one AMAZING vacation! I'm so excited how everything has seemed to fall into place! We went from having to wait for Anna and Elsa for MANY hours to scoring a FP+ for them AND not knowing (but hoping!) when the 7DMT would be open to having TWO FP+ for it! I am sooooooo incredibly excited for our vacation... and maybe even more excited to know I don't have to be addicted to the internet for the next few weeks praying for the 7DMT to open! Ha ha!

Yay! So glad you got them! I'm hoping we might get a chance to ride during a soft opening. :)

Love all the shirts, but so jealous over the two new pink ones! I think the Disney one is adorable and have been eyeing it on disneystore. And the one with just Mickey--I almost bought that one on our last trip but got something else instead. I still wish I would have gotten it. I also kick myself everyday for not buying the 2014 with Mary Blair's castle on it. It was everywhere at the parks but now it's nowhere to be found. :( that'll teach me to "buy it when you see it"--I should really know that by now!

Yay 7 dwarves FP!! Can't wait to hear all about it!

Oh, and you know i ADORE the bags!! :lovestruc

Oh man... I hope so! As excited as I am for us getting to ride it, I'm equally as bummed for all of you who don't! Especially when having a dedication on May 2nd really got people's hopes up! Crossing my fingers that you'll get lucky!!

I almost didn't get both of them... and even thought about taking one back, but I just can't do it!! And yes, with Disney stuff it seems you must buy it right away or you may miss out!

Oh you KNOW you'll be hearing all about it!!! Can't wait!

I'm so glad we were all able to get them!! I'm most definitely in love with my new baby!

On top of all of the wonderful things that have happened today, we had another Movie Night tonight! Our original plan didn't work out because we weren't able to get the movie on time, so I had to pick a different movie last night. We didn't pick out of a baggie like we did for all the others because I really didn't feel like writing out all of the movies again! So Addie and I decided together! We decided on... The Lion King!

May 2nd... The Lion King

We had a few friends visit for this Movie Night! One of the guys Derek works with was wifeless this evening, so Derek invited him over! He's the oldest of a lot of kids, so he loves Disney movies! Ha ha! Although, I told Derek I was onto him. I knew the real reason he invited him over was so that I'd clean the house top to bottom and he wouldn't have to clean anything this weekend! :rotfl: He claims that thought never crossed his mind... sure, sure.

Then we also had Addie's BFF over for the movie! I'll just refer to her as "P". She was in preschool with Addie last year, but is technically a year behind her in school. And her mom is our baby-sitter! So Addie used to go over there at least twice a week while I slept and all they did was play. Poor "P" gets stuck with Harper now and doesn't have her friend to play with. The two peas in a pod were really torn apart by Kindergarten this year. :sad1: They live 7 houses down the street from us, so the girls still do get to see each other but just way less than they used to. "P" is a super picky eater, so she just came down after she ate dinner and hung out while we ate and stayed to watch the movie. I think the girls had a great time!

Okay... on the menu we had "Elephant Bones" for an appetizer (soft pretzel sticks with cheese dip) and then for dinner was "Roast Wildebeest" (roast beef), "Pride Rocks" (potatoes), "Green Pride Land" (green beans) and "Savannah Salad" (salad). And of course we had "Jungle Juice" to drink... unfortunately, not the "Jungle Juice" from our college days. :rotfl2: It was a Mango Passion Fruit juice... yum! For dessert we had "Elephant Graveyards" (white chocolate covered pretzels) and "Grubs and Worms" (Easter whoppers and gummy worms) during the movie! It was DELICIOUS!!! I tried a new recipe for the roast and it was to die for. I will DEFINITELY be making that again!

Here's the recipe...

3 lb. beef roast (I used an arm roast)
1 package dry ranch dressing mix
1 package dry Au Jus mix
6 pepperoncini peppers
1 stick of butter

Just dump it all in the crock and cook on low for 8-10 hours. SUPER easy and yummy!

Now... onto the pics!

What a fun night!

On another note... only 2 more Movie Nights until Disney!! AND we're officially into the "teens"!!! 19 more days until Disney!

yay, movie night! it looks like a fun night and dinner looks great! i'm going to have to try that recipe for the roast. anything you can just throw in the crock pot is always appealing!

the pictures of addie and her friend are too cute. how fun for them to have some extra time to hang out!

grubs and worms--love it!
