1/26/2013-Fantasy-Eastern including Puerto Rico

Good luck to all of you booking tonight! I hope you get everything you want!:goodvibes

Thanks! Guess I should do some research, huh?! :rolleyes1

It looks like SE Michigan may get some snow, independent of the weather hitting the east coast. NOT OKAY.

Hello everyone! You can count me in too! I couldn't help but notice that there are quite a few fellow Canadians going! woot woot! I'm in Toronto and will be going with my DS who's 5 and my GF, her DH and DD who is 4! We are all super excited as this will be all of our first cruise! We plan to be at DW for the week before. I look forward to getting to know you all and hopefully meet you on the cruise!

Very frustrated....stayed up to book Palo after confirming with my travel agent that we would be able to book a table for 4 (my parents are sailing with us and their reservation is linked to ours), and sure enough, because they are not within their window, I cannot book Palo. I checked with our travel agent three separate times specifically emphasizing/questioning because it is my parents first Disney cruise and their window isn't until November and she assured me each time that it wouldn't be a problem. oh well...now I am just hoping their will be openings then...

Is this something that anyone else has experienced?

I would book a table for two and then try to add them at their window or when you get on the ship. Or are you saying it won't even book for you two?

:welcome: Our DD will be 4, too! So glad that there are quite a few around her age on the Dis! Where are you staying at WDW? We are planning on staying on property one night pre-cruise.

It will allow us to book for 2, but the concern is that if we do, then we would have used our "dinner" reservation and when their window opens it will not allow us to book for 4. I am def going to try when their window opens and then as soon as we get on the ship (if needed). I am just the type that likes to have everything planned ahead of time so one less thing to worry about lol. Guess just so frustrating bc of being told by TA no prob...

I understand your frustration. Not sure if it will make you feel any better about your TA, but I read about this a few times on the Dis, and some folks swear they are able to do this while others have your results

Many have reported that it was easy to add to party size at Palo once on the ship. I completely understand about having everything set early, it is less to worry about. I will keep my fingers crossed that the times are still available in 15 days!

We're from Ontario too - and traveling with 4.5 year old DS who will be happy to make some friends his age. It's also our first cruise. Welcome!

Excursion booked. Palo booked.

And I was very, very confused about the fact that Disney doesn't make you pay, up front. :confused3

Also, booked an early port arrival time, once I got up this morning. Is our ship really going to be that empty?!

Thank you :) We will be staying at the Art of Animation. Geesh, I didn't realize it was going to be almost sold out at the end of January! But we were lucky with a bit of Disney Magic! It will be also my birthday that week! We had double the magic and lucked out with reservations at Be Our Guest! Woohoo! DD isn't mine she's my friends lol Where are you staying?

Thank you! Yeah! New friends are always great to make. I was a bit worried about how many kids there will be, with it being school time and all.

How do you know that our ship is going to be empty? Just how booked is it? It must be pretty booked if all the early dining is gone...

Yeah- we're going mad and pulling the boy out of JK for a week. We're wild that way. ;)

As for early dining - we booked in late July, so not early, and were wait listed or early dining - we just got it this week - so earlier than I expected, given other threads on the boards lately. I'm not holding my breath for an early port arrival time, though, as first-time cruisers, which is actually OK with us if that's how it works out- we'll just plan for it.

That is great on the AoA and Be Our Guest reservations! We are staying at the grand floridian...mostly for convenience because we have dinner with Cinderella at 1900 park fare that night. Just 90 days to go!

So after emails to our TA, her calling DCL, then us calling DCL several times, we were finally able to make the reservation! It is so odd bc everyone we spoke to said it should be no prob to make right on-line but no luck. Thankfully the last CM we spoke to was able to book it over the phone - she had said only two reservations for a group of 4 were open for the entire cruise (plenty for parties of 2!), so very happy one less thing to stress about. Then I immediately went on line and booked some nursery time for DD! :-)

I know it's so exciting!!! Sounds like a fabulous dinner plan too!!! Are you planning on doing day trips at any of the ports?

That's great, I'm glad it worked out for you! I don't think I can book until November! But I don't know if I'll even try for the Palo, is it good?

Thanks!

We loved Palo the two times we went; we really wanted to make sure to get a reservation so my parents could experience as well (and maybe we will attempt to order the whole menu between us lol). :-)
