1/26/2013-Fantasy-Eastern including Puerto Rico

So who's on early and who's on late dining? I'm on late. At first I was upset that we didn't get early, but now I'm kind of glad that we have it. Means not having to rush to get to dinner and being more relaxed. I gave up on the notion of putting my little one to bed early lol Its a vacation for all of lol

What trips at ports are all thinking of doing? i think the only one that I really want to do is the semi submarine in the ocean in St. Thomas.

We're on early dining. I was on early dining on my 9/9/2012 Bahamian cruise on Dream. I liked to the "later" shows anyhow. If you have Port Adventures booked, it can make it tight! I'm on the 11/03/2012 Caribbean Cruise from Galveston as well. I did early dining but have Port Adventures booked, and it will be close!

We are on late by choice. Since DD will only be 6 months, she prob won't be on a set schedule. Also she will be small enough to sleep in the small stroller we are bringing if she does doze off (right now she is a night owl like us lol). We also like late dining because we feel more relaxed and don't have to worry about rushing back from any excursions. I'm sure when DD gets older and has more of a set schedule we may look into early dining, but only time will tell. :-)

As recently mentioned - early, which is a huge relief. Having just survived our son's monster meltdown here at 7:30 p.m., I am even more relieved we got it! The boy just cannot stay up late, even if he sleeps in (which he did this morning), and there is no point in torturing him and everyone else. My husband and I will probably just trade off who gets to go to shows - or we'll sit on the veranda. The shows are (gasp!) just not that important to us. The only thing we'll probably stay up late for is pirate night, and even then, just the early party, if they're having it.

We've done the semi-submarine before in Turks and Caicos, and it was really good. I'm a bit concerned by the 6 ships that will be in St. Thomas that day and the crowds, so we haven't decided for sure. I'll probably book an excursion to Coral World if we can, then decide if we cancel as we get closer, and just make an early dash to a beach, and bail when it gets crowded.

This morning I woke up in a panic. We had friends over last night and I had forgotten to book at 11pm. So I log on and hope for the best. Well I booked Palo dinner and brunch on the day we wanted, got an 11am port arrival time and booked the Kon Tiki! Woot! I was worried for nothing. I was surprised at the availability. Is our cruise fairly empty?

How do you know that our ship is going to be empty? Just how booked is it? It must be pretty booked if all the early dining is gone...

Well, there are 21 categories of state rooms open! I suspect Disney cruises tend towards the earlier dining, anyway. But I bet things shift after the 75 day window!

We're on late dining. We've always done late on our cruises. Our first cruise, well, I would never have considered myself a late dinner person, but it was Alaska. And the idea of missing ANYTHING was too much for me to bear, so I kept late dining, especially because there was so much scenery.

We booked the beach-only excursion at St. Thomas and we'll probably just do a self-guided walking tour in San Juan (all thanks to jilljill). I just bought a used copy of a guidebook from Amazon for $5. Works for me!

I think so. :) I mean, I booked my excursions and Palo meals right after they opened, then went to bed... when I got up this morning, I logged back on, filled out the online check-in and selected an 11am port arrival time.

I doubt it will be so empty that any of us notice, though!

I have sent a PM out to everybody in FE Group 1 please reply and let me know you got the info thanks.

We are on early and this works really well for us. DDs favorite part is the shows, so we get the opportunity to "require" good behavior at dinner before going. DD is generally well behaved, but the promise of a show tends to turn her into a "listening queen"! :thumbsup2

We are doing Kon Tiki at St. Thomas, the beach excursion at San Juan and a cabana at CC. We are hoping the Kon Tiki will take us away from the crowds!:scared:

They have cabanas at CC? May I ask how much they are? I never saw them.

I didn't know we had to book arrival times, I feel like such a newbie! lol I'm so clueless, I'm glad I found you all though!

Good luck to everyone on the east coast today! I'll keep my fingers crossed that you are spared as much as possible!

(We're getting the very very edge of your storm here in SE Michigan - a lot of wind headed our way and a slight threat of snow)

Today's my first day since Labor Day weekend without my rigid ankle brace. If we get snow, it might be my last for awhile. :lmao: I am NOT taking any chances on rolling my ankle again (EVER haha).

We have late dinning.... being in CA and jumping a head in time it helps to have late dinner. And all my kids are older (7, 11, & 14) and in sports so it is usually 8pm by the time we are eating anyway. We are night owls and kids don't have a set bed time other then when the kids clubs end lol when we are on the cruise :goodvibes

St. Thomas we are taking a taxi to Coki beach. Love the snorkeling you can do just a couple of feet out from shore. San Juan kids are staying on ship and Mom and Dad are doing the Bacardi distillery. CC hoping to snag a cabin we'll see. But my teen is doing to teen excursion since last time she told me everyone in the vibe got to go but her.... hopefully all the vibe kids are doing it this time.

FE groups are like a secret santa group on the ship. You sign up your cabin to participate in giving gifts to the other cabins in your group and in return you get gifts from everybody in the group. Most of the gift have the cruise or ship theme to them, most of the gift makes for good memories. That is the best way I can tell what FE Groups are.

We too are on early dining. Which works well for us as we tend to be in bed not too late. Two years ago though when dd was 5 she informed us one night at 10:30 that she "wanted to go to the club".. we looked at each other shrugged, checked the navigator and went to an adult comedian.
Also helps to know that there are sometimes the bigger shows in the afternoon.

As for excursions we are doing the aquarium, butterfly/coral garden in St. Thomas and self guiding ourselves in San Juan and cabana in cc.

Isn't "allowing" things like this so much fun? I love answering "yes" when Jayden asks something that she expects a "no" to.

We are new to the group and so great to see so much activity. I wanted to join the FE group but this is my first post and I can't sent pm's just yet....but pretty please put us in!!!

Dave, Tina and 9 yr old girl

Can't wait to see all the great ideas of what to do.
