Thanks for your wishes for us - the viewing is tonite - tough, but I need to go for the family - DD asked what do they do at a funeral - i told her funerals are more for older children and adults - OK i was stumped - what do you do? There is a book I need to buy on this - any ideas?

Mike - I have a problem with dust bunnies - they just continue to make and make more and more - I have to get my DD's to chase them - I am tired of it.

Nancy - thank you for bringing up the AP purchase plan - we do the same thing. We do not renew - it is a joke - we purchase a voucher - schedule vacations around it - try to get 4 weeks out of the pass and then repurchase another. I saw the info on Deb's site. If only I had a stash of cash, yeah right - before the cruise - fagetaboutit. The fair sounds like fun - we have had numerous fairs in our area - but we bought season passes to Great Adventure - it helps us to cut down on the tickets for the rides at the fairs and to help avoid the food at the fairs. This is our first year with the passes and we have gone 6 times - definetly had our money's worth.

Well we got our major shopping for the cruise done yesterday. Seldom have people spent so much so fast. I bought a new shirt for my formal skirt, warren got a new shirt but Brandon was the big winner. He got several t-shirts, new dress pants and a new suit. We also got new luggage and the shirts for our cruise logo. I'm really starting to get in the spirit of the trip.

I also just got back from "Power Shopping". The local Belks Dept Store was having a really great sale. 50% off already marked down items) For example, I got my DH Izod shorts reg.42.00 maked down twice to 19.99 THEN got them for another 50% off that price! Final price 10.00!!!!I got DD 3 VERY nice dresses for about 7.00 each! I LOVE IT WHEN THAT HAPPENS! Just another reson I like to cruise in the Fall, when all the summer stuff is maked WAY down!

My motto is "make peace with dust bunnies"!LOL

Jul, sorry to hear of your DD friend. Tell her funerals are to say goodbye to a person we love.

I also must have my house clean before leaving on a trip. Laundy all done and all trash cans empty!Since we will get home on Sat. late afternoon, I will not worry with going to the grocery store until Sunday

Hope you like this one better. Just got back from our local Art in The Park. It is a super neat place to buy art stuff. Artists from all around the northwest. I practiced self-restraint. Kept thinking about more money for the cruise!

Quick question. We have decided to buy a digital camera. I know on our eastern cruise they had great buys in St Maarten. Are there any places we are stopping to get one? Don't want to spend all my time shopping, but would like a good deal. Elaine

Nancy ~ My Xmoose shirt is LONG GONE. It is tradition to cut the shirt off a student pilot's back when he/she solo's for the first time. I wore it that day cause I was taking so much crap from Chrystina and my family ~ It was "comfortably thread bare". You know it is well worn when you can see thru a sweatshir!!! BUT she won't get a hold of my racquetball pants unless she comes to Alaska ~ that's not likely to happen before next summer!

William - Not getting any music but I am sure it is quite good.

Sorcerer ~ Been to WDW for Xmas and done Magic as well. Something always nice about Disney at Holidays.

Now it is trime for the Alaska fishing report: Caught 10-12 rainbow trout, couple of dolly varden, and a couple of salmon. Only one rainbow of any size ~3#'s. Found a tributary FULL of big rainbows but they just would NOT cooperate. Spent about two hours changing to multiple flies but NOoooo luck.

However!!! Got too see one of those sights that you only see in Alaska on the drive home. HUGE pod of beluga whales (40-50) really close to shore. It was GREAT!!! Not ever seen so many in one place before. Also got to see a flock of swans do a short field water takeoff. Even though I support the "bad day fishing ... good day work" theory ... those two sightings made the entire trip worth it ...

Well, two weeks and I will be "way down south in the land of dixie" ~ Looking forward to it. Have made a list of "stuff" that needs to go in the luggage. Sure hope there is room for clothes!

Alright - I like this tune - it is just that the "Its a small world" gets in your head once your on the ride and then it stays with you alnight long - even while sleeping. I do not mind this one in my head - while my girls hate me singing it to them - especially when I use the sebastian voice (try to).

Thanks Mike for bumping us up to the next page. I'm with Jul about It's A Small World, it gets in your head and you can't get rid of it. This music puts me in the vacation mood. I want to get up and dance aroud the room.

Jul--- I'm glad that Stephanie is doing ok with everything that is going on. Did you flight times change? I thought maybe we will end up at the Avis counter together if you got an earlier flight. I know US Air is changing so many of the flights. Glad I'm flying Southwest.

Dennis--- I wondered where you were. I thought you might have gone into a severe depression with Chrystina throwing all those treasured clothes away. I should have figured that you were out fishing. The whale sighting sounds awsome.

I thinks there are several of us going to WDW between Thanksgiving and Christmas. We will be there 12/5-12/9. First time we have had a chance to go at that time of year. My sons were always playing hockey in the winter.

Well back to work on Monday.

Saw this on another post. It is about dining times
Ds has been up all night with asthma and coughing. I think he is coming down with a cold. I sure hope i don't catch it. Poor little guy can't breathe. Even with the treatments. Am taking him into the dr. today. (This is the youngest one) I feel like a terrible mom, keep saying, DON'T BREATHE ON ME! LOL .. He keeps saying, "you don't have to hold me mom" Well, must go. Today it's back to the heatwave ... not too much will get done tonite unless I can do it in our aircond'd bedroom!

Friday our AAA baseball team lost their games and are now out of it. MIKE....George, Art & I are not going to discuss yesterday's game except to say Congrats to you and BooHoo to us!

Thanks Rae. Just back with him. They gave him a double shot of albuterol and put him on an antibiotic and prednisone. This little guy has had his share of surgery and sickness! He is always such a trooper too! Has to stay home from school today and tomorrow and I have to keep giving him his treatments. Hopefully he will shake it and we won't have to go to the hospital. He hates it. So do I! Love to be able to come to these boards and blow off steam! Also love the good wishes Thanks again. Elaine
P.S. You are so right about being the caretaker! It is devastating to me to get sick. You just worry about all you need to e doing and on top of that I have the cruise to think about. I definitely don't want to be sick then!!!

Cathy I haven't been outside much this summer so you guys probably have a better tan than I do. With the mosquito problem that we have had this year and my bum leg it was just easier to stay in. Wanted to be sure that we could make the cruise

Better run as a sink full of dishes are hollering that they need to be washed, and supper (dinner to our northern friends ) to be fixed. Mike
