I ask: "What for?" She says "Going on a SECRET ANG mission"?
Okay, where to? - Can't tell you - Okay when? - Today I leave in about four hours. Okay? - I answer - "Okay" - She leaves...

Redneck turns to me and says (DEEP SLOW SOUTH BAMA DRAWL)
"Whacha Y'all going to do?" - Me: Go the bank get her some $$$.
Redneck says: "US'ns wouldn;t let my woman go on no SECRET trip, she could be messin round on y'all"

My answer was: "If you find out that's true, you let me know who this guy is so he can pay his fair share!!!" Same deal goes for the Bobby ~ think London Yard will pay too?!

Love & trust is a wonderful thing!!! I am not concerned one iota!

Still cannot remember Mickey helmsman's hat?? Blame it on my frozen brain cell.

One name Disney Movies? You mean like: Aladdin, Bambi, Pinnochio, and such? That will take work.

Maybe William can earn it for school credit too. You know Elaine, maybe you should home school ~ any organization that looks dimly upon Disney has gotta to be a BAD place!!! Of course, what do I know, I don't have any kids so I have never been one to worry about things like that...

Heck, I once tried to quit work to go on a bicycle trip!!! Of course, I did bicycle from Alaska to Boston. My Boss gave me LWOP...

Dennis--I never knew that there was some sort of Irish reason to light each wick. Somewhere I read that it was considered proper to light each one, I think to show that you didn't just have the candle for decoration, but that it was functional as well. My Mickey candle has three wicks, so I'm taking a risk by not lighting it!

Elaine--Mad Hatter's hat has a sign that shows 10/6. He was so scatterbrained that he forgot to take off the pricetag--10 shillings, sixpence.

There are still some one-name movie titles -- keep thinking.

Karen - Works for me, we will sprinkle a little pixie dust around you just to make sure the "risk" is minimized. Hmm Can you imagine, having to "test a candle wick"? Wonder what the specifications on candle wick threads are all about, Knowing me, will have to go figure out ~ along with the gazillion other things that are of no particular value to me but are of interest to know!

I had an Irish Mom too! Unlit candels were saved for funerals/wakes. If you had an unlit candel displayed in the house you were expecting to bury someone!Candels with a burned wick were "fuctional" everyday candels!Wow, the things you remember! I haven't thought of that old Irish wives tale in a LONG time

Dennis loved to story of the statues. And glad you were smart enough to marry the smart red-head. I don't like to shop much. Probable because I hate hauling everything around. One of my "secrete reasons" for staying at a Disney hotel is that you can shop at any and all of the parks, and the stuff Magicaly appears in your room later that day or the next.

Hey Gang,

Well it has really been eventful since the last post, yesterday morning. I (Gil) was at work with the weekend approaching rapidly and looking forward to a couple of days off, when about 1:07 pm there was a plane crash. Being the supervisor on duty when it happened I was inundated with a massive amout of paper work and fielding numerous phone calls.

The aircraft was a Lear Jet with 5 people on board. The aircraft made a normal approach and landing, but lost its brakes on roll out. It went off the runway and skided across a highway and burst into flames. It was a miracle that it did not hit a car or truck.
There was several people that did stop to help. One gentleman stopped and rushed to the aircraft and pulled everyone out by himself surfering burns and a broken arm. Although unfortunately one lady did die the other 4 are doing good in local hospitals. This really does show that we humans do care for our fellow man!!

Like the subject line says, I really do need a vacation now.

What type of work do you do, I'm assuming ATC? That jet was from Marco Island which is about 65 miles south of us. Our local news is saying that one of its jet engines caught fire which caused it to lose control.

Vacation is coming - 4 weeks from today!

I heard that my docs are on their way. I got a tracking number and everything. Now can anyone guess how many times a day I check the number?

Hello all, have been at the hospital all day with my mother. My father has a "not so good" heart and has been having lots of little problems lately. At 3 am this morning he woke and couldnt breathe. Went to hospital and his pulse was only 30. i think that is pretty low. They transported him to another hospital and they put a pacemaker in this pm. he will be fine now. You know, i am so used to having my mom and dad close by that i can't imagine life without either one of them. have never lived more than three hours away and that was only for a year1 Guess i am a real baby still.

BTW, that earlier post was William not me. i dont' have a clue how to put the music on.

I do have the disney horn on my computer and William has been trying to figure out how to post it, but no luck yet. We don't have the html code for it (I think that is what we need) I listen to it all the time. If I want to call William I put it on really loud and he comes running

Our friends from Fl arrived this am and we head to Darlington SC in the morning for the NASCAR SOUTHERN 500!!!We have seats in turn 3 in case anyone is watching!!LOL!!It's been raining for 3 days and the forcast for the race is NOT very good. We are in the middle of a drought, go figure!
Gil...what a day!! I will not complain about a bad day at my clinic anymore after hearing you "bad day"!People really will surprise you in the unselfish acts they commit!Glad to hear most survived the crash.

Mary - Now that reiterate the reason of not having an unlit candle, it came rushing back to me ... I remember my mother saying something about NOT inviting death to the door .. chills Correct spelling is of the town is Gloucester. Been there many, many times. It is picture perfect colonial coastal New England town. It is the town setting of of PERFECT STORM
UR right about the hat too ... Boy I HAVE been working too much ~ Just need to survive a couple more weeks!!!

Twinave ~ Chrystina & I do exactly the same thing. There is something "magical" about buying stuff and havinf it delivered. Makes you feel extra special ... I had some "adventures" with those three on that trip!!! Mexcian taxis, iquanas, and immense amounts of Corona beer at 7 cents a bottle. next day was SLOW.

We are a family of 4 from Rochester NY sailing on the 28th. This will be our 3rd cruise with DCL. With me will be my DW (Kerri), DS (Austin 7, turning 8 on the 8th of October) and DD (Emma 4). Hope to make some new friends on board. See you all in 4 weeks.

Welcome! So glad you found us all before 9/28! It's going to be a fun time with a lot of people from all over the USA. My son Michael is 7 also! This trip will be me, my Mom and Michael. Her first cruise and also her first airplane ride - this will be an adventure for all of us! DH will be staying home with the cat and dog!

If you get a chance to read all the pages of this forum, you'll find out a lot of information about what's going on and who's on the ship with you.

Thank you all for your well wishes for my father. He is feeling much better this morning.
Goodness, last night I slept from 11 untill 8 this morning. I don't usually do that! It reminds me of the ship. The best sleep I ever got was on the ship. I justlove being rocked to sleep at night. Since we were traveling in February then, we left the verandah door open and I listened to the ocean. Ahhh bliss. Hurry up Sept. 28th
