Okay - Since we are going on a DISNEY cruise ....

Here is a nautical question

What are the names of the following vessels?

Steamboat Willie's Ship?
Captain Hook's Ship?
Davey Crockett's Riverboat?

Let's get with it folks ... What else is there to do? .....

Elaine, go for the schooling. Mike and I crossed the same road. I was in a class of nursing students whose mean age was 35 and had 3 kids at home. Guess what! I was 35 with 3 school age kids at home. Mike worked his butt off at the railroad fixing the rails, then he would come home and cook dinner while I came home from school and take off to go study at friends homes. He has earned his rest! (So to speak, he is keeping house while I work) His back won't let him work anymore. At least that is what I hear when he doesn't want to do something. You go girl!!!!!!!

One of the nurses I worked with was 57 when she got out of school and had emphysema. She worked in the nursery until she just couldn't go back on deliveries and stay conscious (sp) cause she needed the oxygen more than the babies did. She was a sweetie and we loved her and was so funny! She still stays in contact with us and we have gotten together since she retired.


Cathy, Mike dragged me to the Babies R Us store last night. It was the first time he was ever in the store. OMG! I thought I was bad! We found a playpen that had a recording device on it and he sang into it. We tried out every stroller there. We folded and unfolded them to see which ones would go into Scarlet the easiest and then we went to the "exersausers" (When mine were little they were called "walkers". I have to say that I love to play with them too. We haven't decided on which one to get for Katie. She still has the 'bobble headed' thing going on.

Shirley, count us in on the Mallory Square too. It will be Mike and me.

Glad to hear people are getting some much needed rain. Sorry it is so MUCH. Think God is up there saying "They want it, they don't want it...."? There is another way to say that, I am just being nice.

William, where are you doing your researching?

Finally received the docs yesterday. The box was sitting between the doors when I arrived home from work.

Geez, they're a little overwhelming. There's pages of stuff to fill out and sign - which I'm guessing you want to do before you get to the port.

Kathy---You certainly are enjoying being a grandmother.

Elaine--Go for it. As you can see by all the positive posts, many have returned to school. We are all behind you.

Karen--Stopped at the Disney store in Lancaster on Monday on my way back home. That store hardly has anything for adults, but did get the 50% off sweatshirt and then got the extra 10% with my DC card. I saw no pins anywhere in the store. They had all those princess outfits, if only I had a little granddaughter to buy for. However, I can wait 10 years or so for one.
I did see about the more casual dress for Lumiere's which my husband will enjoy not wearing a jacket since we will have the LAPLAPL rotation also. I think we are going to do Palo's on the second trip through Lumiere's.

We are now into day 2 of the rain and the straw is a little greener so may need to mow over the weekend. Have to go back out to Pittsburgh area on Sat. to deliver Brian hockey equipment. We didn't take it with us thinking that it wouldn't start until after we went out for parents weekend on 9/21. Of course, that didn't work out. Well, it will just make the time go by faster to get to the cruise.

I need to buy another suitcase, I was able to reclaim one from the boys but still leaves me short. In my old age I keep putting off doing the things I need to do, so I won't be buying that till the last minute along with the packing. Norm even agrees I am getting worse and it drives him crazy.

Well, I better get to work.

I am delighted that the Fed-Ex guy brought my docs yesterday. He seemed surprised that they required a signature for what he told me was a cruise video (he seemed certain of his information). I would have been very miffed if they had left my docs on the porch instead.

SusanD: I would have always expected to sign for my documents but this time my TA sent my documents through the postal service and my carrier left it along side my mailbox!!!! No signature and what if it rained or they were stolen? SHEESH!

Any definite word on our dining times yet? I would tell you about my "adventures" with this question and the Disney CC reps, but you already can imagine!!

Dennis - I am so happy that you not only love Alaska but found your true love there! I am hoping that someday we will travel to there. Years ago (1970's) a friend was stationed at Clear Air Force Station and took some great pictures of the Northern Lights. Always thought that would be a thrill to see. But I am in for salmon fishing 100%!

Only 4 weeks - 30 days - 720 hours - 43,200 minutes - 2,592,000 or so seconds!

Having a down couple of days ... no documents, stuff I've been sewing is just not working out, starting to worry about being packed in time etc. I guess it's time to get out my Disney CD's and take a listen!

Patty we order stuff on line all the time and some of the companys ask basically the same things. Haven't noticed any unusual charges on my cards so far. When you arrive there you can pay for the excursion with cash and there is no charge on your card. Mike

Well, we have decided (rather the "boys" have decided) I am planning too much. Think we are going to cancel the dolphin thingy in Key WEst. They want to see the cat juggling. Go Figure I also wanted to meet Shirley so, we are a go for that I will email her.

For all the adults, I got a hilarious joke/story from my friend about the seven dwarfs. Can't post it here. It isn't horrible just a little naughty., If you'd like me to send it to you I would be happyto. I rolled on the floor laughing. (And that is quite a site, believe me )

Nancy, bought a new suitcase at Costco. It was $99 and is a lovely shade of green.

Our tee shirts are white with the logo. Couldn't find the blue ones.

I am hoping we have the LAPLAPL rotation also, We have the late dining(7:45) and are dining with two couples with no children(hello padisney and the sorcerer1 ) so, even though we have "the boy" with us do you think we will still get that rotation.
I too think we will do Palos the second L night. I am hoping William will meet the other kids and either eat at Plutos or room service. He is a pretty independent guy. Loves those burgers at Plutos and loves to play ping pong.

I have bought two new books to bring with me and have had Bill hide them so I can't get to them. LOL
I got the new Fannie Flagg one Standing in the Rainbow and a David Baldacci. Last Man Standing. His books are pretty good..

Deck 4 look out. Last cruise didn't spend any time sitting or reading. Too many kids with us

Am now an official student . AGAIN! Luckily our local university has a variety of students, so I don't think I will stick out too much.

Kimber, I got a card from DVC today, thanking me for tell a friend about DVC! Boy, they are fast!

I did our t-shirts last night. Ours are pale yellow. I also could night find a blue that was a light enough shade of blue. They look very good. The kids are going to have the Characters sign them again this year.

Patty, I made the reservations without putting in ANY credit card info. They confirmed my reservation, and then asked for my CC # and expiration date, which I sent them. I do not recall having to give all the other info you talked about.

I got an additional 3 doz lanyards today. I had ordered 5 doz thinking it would be enough, but we keep growing so I ordered more.

We have a wonderful group of interesting people. We are having three get togethers, one at The Raddison, one at the Sail-away Party, and then The Brunch on Monday. We have got some great excursions planned, and quite time as well. I'm going to be spending time with my DH and kids and my DTS (Disney Twin Sister), and her family. So, how can it get any better? Now we have another party at KW with Shirley and Norm! I can't see it getting BETTER THEN THIS!!!!! Of course I could win the FL lotto this weekend.
