09/13/09 SSMC09 S.S. Member Cruise 2009 - Part 4!

Hi everyone...catching up on everyone's posts...just by reading over things, you can feel the anticipation. I do feel better today, not great, but better. I have all day Friday and Sat at VWL to relax and feel better, so hopefully by the time we cruise I will be feeling human again.

Going to start to pack. 3 work days and then we are off! We aren't going to the parks this trip, just relaxing and then cruising with friends...YOU!!!

I'll be back later to chat!

Blessings,
Susan

My Grandpa used to do that to. BUt he put it in tea with honey. I do that now and it does seam to help. I think that is because I am tired after putting the wiskey in it.:lmao:

Keep telling yourself: I will not get sick, I will not get sick, I am going on the SSM09 and don't have time for that.

I WILL NOT GET SICK....UGH:scared1::scared1:

Congrats on the early packing Robbie, my DW asked what I would like to take and I said swim suits and shirts, I think she was looking for a more accurate packing list:)

hey at least your wife asks what you want, i TELL my dh what he is wearing :rotfl2:

we are all packed except for the two pair of shorts for DH that should show up on thursday.

i have a small bag with our dinner clothes and shoes, a small bag for our two days at disney, a large bag with my (too many) clothes for the cruise and a large bag with DH's clothes and my overage!

We also have a backpack for carryon with our DVD player for the plane and another carryon with our swim suits and such in it.

That sounds like my DH. A couple pair of swim trunks, a couple disney shirts, what more do I need??? :confused3 . Well, a couple pairs of pants and nice shirts, of course. :lmao:

No, he is really good about packing since he travelled so much while he was in the military it is easy for him. Thank goodness. That way if something is forgotten it is not my fault! hehe

You guys were busy again this afternoon. We had to run over to my sisters house for her kids' 18th Birthday party. It is so hard to believe that they are 18 - she has twins, a girl and a boy. I remember the day they were born and it seems like yesterday. They are good kids and I love em to death. Garrett is like the son I never had. And Nicole is my third daughter. If you can't tell, me and my sister are very close and her kids are my kids and vice versa. It's great.

You'll see us matching a lot and that makes packing easier. That's why I use a spreadsheet. Mark and I discuss what we're going to wear, I put it in the spreadsheet and then I use the spreadsheet to pack. We combine the bags so that if for any problem (not driving but I'm used to packing this way) one of the bags go missing one of us won't be out of clothes.

So for the cruise we only really have two bags. A garment bag with the nicer clothes and a medium size rollaway for the t-shirts, swimsuits, shorts, etc. Of course that isn't counting the other bags we are carrying on (button bag, FE gift bag, etc.)

So we've had this discussion before but since we are getting closer to boarding day....

where do you plan on eating lunch on boarding day?

We tried Parrot Clay on the last trip and I think we will try that again. Lat time they had some one playing the bongos and it was a nice way to begin the cruise.

Thanks for the congrats everyone.

We have never eaten at Parrot Cay the day of boarding so that is where I told DH I would like to eat this time.

We will be up on Deck 9 at the tables outside. The kids love being able to swim while the pool is not busy. They had a pretty crazy game of ping pong going last time too.

I like just watching them be so happy and looking out at the ocean. And we manage to make it back to the table to eat too! Its our perfect way to start the cruise.

:cheer2::dance3::cheer2:

Congrats Flo on the :bride:

Congrats Dave on the pirate:

Hmm, we still haven't decided. Most likely, we will decide when we get there.

Dianne,

One is inside and one is out side. Beach Blanket is out side by the pools and drink station. Parrot Clay is one the rotation places for dinner.

This is going to be so much fun for you.
