PIT, arrggh, you do look radiant in that photo, matey. Could it be the facial, pirate gear or oh...the fact that you are blissed out on vacation! I see you take pirate night very seriously! My costume is much more primitive. Some black capri pants and striped shirt I bought at Kohl's. Ha ha. I call it "friendly 50s pirate" because I look like Mr. Smee. He's my style icon.

There was a cruise chat on DIS chat room #1 last night. It was fun. Didn't see any of you Sept. 8-westerners there! I missed my peeps.

Thank you for the compliment! Our pirate pics are my absolute favorites from that cruise. That was the first time we ever dressed up. I don't know if we will this time or not. We had a lot of fun but Kevin was hot under that wig and I was about to bust outta that corset! I found myself skimping on dinner because the dang corset was so tight I thought I'd pop a hook and put someone's eye out! DS17 Alex wants to dress up, unsure about DD20 Amber, last time MIL went on a cruise with us she bought a pirate hat and lots of gold jewelry and beads, and my grandparents probley wont dress up. I'm thinking about putting together a pack for everyone traveling with us with pirate toy swords and beads and pirate patches. That way if some of us dress up the rest don't feel left out. We are paying off this cruise in the next few weeks! These big family ones sure take it out of us. We just like to spread the magic all around............

pirate pics! love 'em. i will have to post some of mine. last time i dressed up in pirate gear was last sept. when we went to MNSSHP. hannacanna and i were both dressed up as pirates (me, friendly 50s pirate) and standing at the sidelines of the Boo to You parade. when captain hook walked by he saw me, came right over to me and gave me a "hooks up". guess he liked my outfit.

We really want to go to the MNSSHP one year. We keep cruising in September partly because its our anniversary month and because its easy for the kids to get out of school in September. We really should plan a trip in October. We are planning a vow renewal for 2010, so maybe then.
Hope everyone is doing well. I can't believe how close we are getting to vacation!!!!!

Hi everyone! Dh and I have been working up a bit of a menu for the Meet and Greet. Here's what we have so far:

Chick-fil-a chicken nugget tray with sauces
Jumbo sandwich from Subway or Quiznos
Chips/dip
fruit (watermelon, strawberries, etc)
Maybe a bon voyage cake???

Can drinks, bottled water, and Alabama House Wine (my sweet tea ) also unsweet tea

How's that sound???

We just wanted to have a good mix of things. DD, DS, DD's boyfriend and my grandparents will be coming in that day so they will most likely be hungry.

Does anyone that's coming have any food allergies or preferences that we should know about? We want to make sure there is something for everyone. Let us know!

Thanks for the pic comment Lois. Unfortunately the Signature Police busted me so I had to take them off until I resize them. We have about 10 8x10 pics we took on our last cruise that I wouldn't trade for anything in the world. DCL smiles really show in pictures, don't they?

We are really excited to host the meet. We were fortunate to attend one last September before the 11 day and it was wonderful. It is kind of nice because some people showed up just after getting off of their planes and just needed a cold drink and a bite to eat. I can't wait either! I'm too excited to sleep!

I don't think my brother posted this yet or not. But our airfare has been booked for a few days. I've been away, busy working in Rehoboth Beach and need to get back to my homework and then I need to go back to work.

Not sure if we will be going to the meet, when is it again?

Is someone compiling details of everything that is going on? If so perhaps I can convince my brother to edit his first post so we can easily find this information.

That might be a good place to post all the planned activities. I would be happy to assist in trying to compile some of the imformation if he would be willing to post it. It would be easy for every one to find if we used the 1P 1P to list all the info. Any other ideas out there? Lois

I so hope we can make it to the meet n greet! We are planning on flying in a day early, so that should be lots of fun. What a great idea PIT!

Yes, we should definitely have some kind of DISmeet on the first day of the cruise, whether it is at sailaway or just after. I think it's important that we connect on day 1 since we'll be seeing a lot of each other on board. I remember from my last cruise, we had our DISmeet right after sail away in the promenade lounge. It was so great, and for the whole week I was able to recognize people I'd met at the meet.

is this meet and greet open to all? I asked my TA to cancel our Royal Caribbean booking and book us on the Magic.
I already had airfare to Miami too. Oh well as long as the Mrs. is happy!

Hi everyone! I have called DCL to try and confirm the jammie breakfast but they can't arrange anything this early I told the lady there really is nothing to arrange but she said to call within 30 days out. I tried to tell her that its just a group of crazies going to breakfast in their jammies I guess 30 days out it is......


As for the meet and greet, everyone is welcome! You can just drop in for a few minutes or stay as long as you want.
I will PM anyone who wants our cell phone # so we can relay the room number we will be in.
