Good day from Indiana. Today Janet and I get to go see the stage preformance of The Lion King!!! We could not find tickets we liked at a cost we liked in Kansas City but we found them here. So we are going to the 1 PM show today. I am so excited!

I will post more later if I get a chance, Lois

All I can say after seeing the show is OMG!!!!

Happy New Year!!!!

Wanted to stop by to send some good wishes to all. On 12/23/08 I managed to break my foot. I guess I am fine and I am not in much pain. I will see the doctor again on 1/9 and he will take new X-rays to see how I am healing. Best wishes for the new year, Lois (& Janet)

Lois,

Sorry to hear about the broken foot. Hope it heals fast.

How was the Lion King? My wife and I saw it on Broadway a couple years ago. It was AWESOME!

Going on the Magic again September 12th 2009. I think Ann (Bareacuda) is on the same sailing again too.:cool1:

Hope everyone has a safe, healthy, and prosperous New Year!

Hi all,

Happy new year!

Can't believe that this thread is still alive and well. It just popped up in my e-mail so I came back to do some catching up.
Bob and I went on a 13 day Alaska land and sea trip in September. We sailed on Princess and had many issues. Don't think we will sail them again anytime soon.
We are booked for another Western...can't miss Key West....on Feb 7th with Disney, of course. It was our gift to each other for Christmas. Can't wait! Hope we meet as many great people as we did on the last Western we were on!
Sorry, we missed you in Nov, Chris. Guess I need to check this board a little more often.
Have fun tonight and drive safe!

Jill

New Year's greetings!

Sorry to hear about your foot Lois, what a bummer!

Our holidays were a bit drama-filled and stressful so Christine and I are looking forward to our next cruise...less than two weeks away! (Jan 17) We are doing the Eastern for the first time with our cruise posse from the last cruise. While we'll miss Key West we're looking forward to the new experience.

We took a day trip to WDW yesterday, went to Animal Kingdom. Still making the most out of our annual passes! The weather was glorious but it was a bit crowded, and my general impression was that there were a lot less cast members available. I tried to call the Disney Dining line for reservations and was on hold forever and then got disconnected twice and was never able to get a reservation. That is not so magical. The parks were very busy and the lines were long. Honestly, I said to Christine if we had a big family and had to travel at this time I would choose a cruise over WDW simply because the experience is so much more personal and no long lines. We did get to try out the Yak & Yeti restaurant at AK and I can report it was quite delicious! (But we were irritated that they did not accept our Disney Dining Experience discount, what the heck?!)

Hope everyone is well and looking forward to some Disney magic this year!

Hi all,

Just wanted to stop by and tell you that I am headed for the Magic tomorrow. You will all be missed!

Take care!

Jill

Jill, BON VOYAGE!
Janet & I sailed the Eastern last November & due to the hurricaine we ended up in Cozumel again! We also stopped at Costa Maya & did a double dip at Castaway Cay.
Remember Taylor Mason, the very funny ventriloquist on our cruise? He was appearing at a comedy club in Manhattan over the holidays & we went to see him. Janet was picked as a volunteer to go up on stage & we took pictures with him after the show. I asked him if he was going to perform on the Magic again. He said he's actually too busy now to do the cruise!
Hope everyone has a great year!
Chris
