09/08/07 Early Check in September 8, 2007 Western

One of the benefits of cruising with Disney before is being able to book excurions sooner. If you are in a cat 1,2, or3 you can book sooner than those in the lower cat.

I believe it goses like this / cat 1,2, and 3 book at 90 days / 4 -12 book at 75 days and frist time cruisers book at 60 days. I am not sure but if you are in cat 1,2 or 3 and a first time cruiser you may still be able to book sooner. Perk of the room?

For the first time cruisers not to worry I had no trouble getting the excurions I wanted when we cruised the first time. If you call at the 60 day mark or soon there after you should be fine.

I plan to do the Stingrays the very first thing in the morning. That gives us the rest of the day to just be on our own. No need to watch the clock. I believe they start at 9:30 or 10AM. Lois

This is the first I"ve heard of first-time cruisers having to wait to 60 days out. The CM at DCL told me I was eligible to make reservations at 75 days.

I guess maybe I had better call and check on those timelines then. Could be a change since I first cruised or I could be just plan flat out wrong. Would not be the frist time. Lois

O.k. I got a new question. You guys are probably all sick of my questions. I swear I come up with a new one every few days or so. Hahaha. Anyway....onboard....what is this exotic rasul thing all about? Does anyone know? I saw it on disney cruise web site and it's for couples. What the heck is it? I'm working on our special day when we will take DS to the lab for the afternoon and night while we attempt Palo, and a nice "date" day in celebration of the 10 year anniv. So exotic rasul....anyone?

My DH and I did the exotic rasul on the 11 night Southern Carribean. It was WONDERFUL! We enjoyed it very much. You basically get to try out all kinds of skin products on each other and sit in a steam room. At the end they give you free spa products. It was worth every penny. I know it is known for hanky panky but honestly we just enjoyed each others company and saved the hanky panky for the stateroom! I would do it again! I think we are going to book the spa villa on this cruise though.

We also did Palo on the same day and I had the collagen facial right after the Rasul. It was heavenly!!!!!!!!!!! I have never been so relaxed in my life. My dh enjoyed the rasul so much he didn't even flinch when I suggested we do a spa day at the Grand Floridian in June!!!!!

MRI on wrist is done now hope the Dr does not say surg. or wrap it for a year. (I want to swim in Sept). Now I am packing for 3 to drive to Nashville TN. A promise my spouse made to Mom years ago.. We leave tomro AM Drive from MO to Tn for the weekend. :woohoo: :cool1: OUT OF TOWN..Ladys only..

Welcome to the newcomers! I've been reading these boards so long I feel like an oldtimer~!:rotfl2:
I'm having issues with my travel agent I think I know more about the Disney cruises then she does even though that is her specialty! Honestly now I just look up the answers here rather than ask her! :lmao: Latest change is our flight times. She sent us an new itinerary with the flight times and they were different from what she had told me on the phone. When I called to ask about this she was surprised I had recorded the first times she gave me!:scared1:
Apparently Air Canada changed the flight times and I understand that happens but it is like talking to a new person everytime I call. I'm thinking she hides her own Easter Eggs!:rotfl2: :rotfl:
OK that was my vent for today. Thanks for listening!

They gave you free spa products? Wow! Now, that's something I've never heard of them doing.

Wellllllll, I guess they were free. They probley just figure them into the price of the Rasul. We got some Camelia Massage Oil (which is wonderful, BTW) and some Invigorating Body Wash. The product name was Elemis. They were all wonderful. But I must stress that the Collagen Facial was by far the best facial I have ever had and looking back at my pics from that cruise my skin looked radient! Its pricey but worth every penny!:thumbsup2

Stina**** Thanks for the link! I'm gonna check it out now. Thank you for the replies. I've made up my mind we will book it. Thank you so much!

I e-mailed Disney and this is the time lines I got from them. I hope that clears thing up for us.

105 days prior to sailing for Guests staying in Categories 1-3
90 days prior to sailing for Castaway Club Members
75 days prior to sailing (for first timer)

Yay!!! Thanks Lois. I hate that I have to wait. What happens though if the excursions I want get booked before I can reserve them? It stinks cause it will be our first cruise and we have to wait for the 75 day mark. Does anyone know if our cruise is sold out?

Just be ready to reseve your choosen excursion on day 75 you shouldn't have any problems. We got each of our desired excursion for our first cruise. It will be here before you know it. Worse case have a second pick just in case but that would really surprise me if that was needed. I just checked the web site and it looks like all cat are still available 4 -12 so I would say that it is not even close to being sold at at this point. We should start to see the room cat begin to drop off as the cruise get closer. Lois

Ahhh o.k. I have the date marked at 75 days out to remember to call and book my excursions. We have chosen one per port, except CC we have 2 we want to do. Stingrays included! They extended the date on passports to 1/09 I'm still on the fence though about just getting them. I can see where we might need them, but if it can wait, then I'd rather spare the money for the trip. We are considering adding a day to WDW before the cruise. We had planned on arriving the 5th but we might arrive the 4th. I wish they would offer travel for Sept. Southwest is only offering thru Aug. 24 right now!:headache: 75 days will be here before we know it, but it seems so far away right now.

Wow, last time I called DCL to ask about secret verandahs (the reclassified 7's) they told me all of category 7 was booked. I'm feeling pretty happy about the Navigator's Verandah, though, the more I learn about it!

Very cute pic PIT !
Looks like you and DH are having a good time on Priate Night. One of these nights I 'll have to post a pic of me and DH too.

I hope this finds everyone well and happy. We are one day closer to VACATION. Not much happening. We were able to make our dinning reservations for our visit to the park before this cruise. Tells me we are getting closer and that unless I get busy I will not be ready. Here's to hoping this will bumb us up just a bit. Lois
