09/08/07 Early Check in September 8, 2007 Western

I'm leanin towards the stingrays Lois! I think you have given me a reason to look into it. I think it's something my DS would really enjoy. We've pet them before but never got into water with them. I'm a little nervous myself, but what a great experience it would be. I'm thinkin on it. Thanks for the info.

You be Welcomed!!! Lois

Anybody home? Haven't had a new post for awhile. Hope this finds everyone happy and heathy. I will update the rooster soon and then post our numbers to let everyone know where we are in the mix. Lois

Got this list off the board. This is a list of every one who has posted on our thread and the number of times. Any one surprised? Lois

We might change it over on Castaway Cay to the stingrays. We have been back and forth on it. I know it sounds crazy but DH wants no part of it because of what happened to the Crocodile Hunter. He worries about everything. I want to do it though, I've swam with stingrays before and it was fun, I think my DS will enjoy it also. Castaway Cay is the only Island I haven't really commited to the excursions. I'm just not sure. The problem is there is just so much to pick from. Hahaha

Dito..That was me months ago. Until someone told me that Castaway Cay's stingrays are separated from thier stings. Thus swimming with them are safer. If that helps him.. Either way we all will have fun.
Swimming, sailing, SOoN.. ANOTHER Nite closer...

Hi folks,
Thinking of possibly booking this cruise. With a lot of kids back in school do you think the current prices will come down any.

It would be just my wife and myself. Just want to get a cat 10. Is that the category where the split bathrooms start? How about the sofas?

We were on the Wonder in August in a cat 11 handicapped room so had no split bathroom or sofa.

TIA

Bill

Welcome!

Ok I admit.. I can be a bit of a chatter!:lmao:

Joining in (although I make my deposit on monday)...

It will be our first disney cruise and we can use LOADS of help. It is DH, me and DS1. DS is turning 1 about 2 weeks before the cruise. So it is a pseudo birthday trip. We missed our trip last year because I was 9 mo pregnant. ;)

So, we are in a cat 3 (yea!) - 8582 - ajoining with our friends in 8584. We need to know what to do with DS though. What should we bring for DS? What excursions? What should we do? When should we plan on Palo (and DS in the nursery)? Do they tell you your actual dining rotation or just dining time (we have requested earlier)? Is there anything else we NEED to know? We literally need a crash course!!! I can do WDW, but this seems so much harder.

First of all....:welcome:

Everyone will try to answer all your questions.. none are stupid... we've all asked them:lmao:

Check out all the excurtions.. more the once. Ask questions, most of us have done at least one of them and can give a personal review.

Dining rotation is going to be different for everyone. But still the same 3.Any night would be good for Palo's. So is the brunch, it's great.

Other suggestions... just read the posts, and we'll all be happy to help you have a fun cruise! Get your passports. For now it's not required but if there is an emergency you may need them. Dont forget your priate costumes!pirate:

So... enjoy the planning parts and join in the chatty bunch we are!:chat:

Do you get told your dining rotation at some point before the cruise?

And, do they always follow the same casual/semi formal/etc dress code? I want to get dressed up twice! (Including once for semi night and once for Palo)

Oh, and the questions WILL keep coming!

You get your dining rotation info when you check in at the port. It's on your Key To The World card. The Cast Members at the port will walk you thru Everything. They are great.KTTW your room key, charge card(no money used on the shipexcept for tips) and it's also your ID card to get on and off the ship.

Here's the dining rotation :
DAY PORT MENU DRESS
Sat: leaving port Reg Rotation Dress Casual
Sun. Key West Reg Rotation Dress Casual
Mon: Sea Reg. Rotation Formal Night
Tues: Grand Cayman Master Chef Dress Casual
Wed: Cozumel Priate Priate Dress
Thu: Sea Capt's Gala Semi Formal
Fri: Cataway Cay Till We Meet Again Dress Casual

Palo's dress "code" is a dressy code. Men is suites or sports coats and ladies could wear dressier or abit more casual in like church dress.

Here's another site to check out: castawaycayclub.com
It has alot of formerand current DCL cruisers input...it has pics too.

Just ask away... we'll all try to help!:woohoo:

I am still here! Just been super busy with, well, life in general! I also have YET to get the craptop fixed (compusa had it for 2 months, now they are closing 140 stores, so basically they just tinkered with it for 2 months and gave it back  ) I will post more often after it is fixed or when we get home. Kiddos are coming to visit for spring break. Should be fun, we haven't seen them since christmas break. Kevin is going to build our back deck this week, I'll supervise :)

PIT... crack that whip and promise Kevin no pub crawl for him if there isnt a deck:drinking1 ! You'll get the deck done in 2 days!:lmao:

We are in the works too... Dh and I are building 2 patios and re-landscaping the front and back yards. We have moved about a ton(literally) of rock from the front to the back in the past week. Not only getting buff, Im getting my tan for the summer:beach:

I have a great laptop. It's a Vaio ! Love it... and have had NO problems.I take it everywhere. Sorry you are having such a crappy time with Compusa. Do they have a back-up place to take your "craptop" ?

Hey all,
I'm still here, busy with work, lot's of out of town work this week. I'll try to post when I can. I'm just wondering if anyone knows.....I have to money to pay off the cruise now, and I'm ready to start booking excursions, palo, etc. But why does the website say I have to wait till 75 days before the trip? We are Cat.6. I want to book now if I pay now...is it true I have to wait? And what time is everyone doing the stingrays on CC?

It's my understanding as another first time cruiser that it needs to be paid in full AND 75 days out.

Awww, that stinks. But I understand. My first cruise too. Been having a tough time picking excursions. But I have finally settled on one per stop. And Lois convinced me to do the stingrays on CC. I am so excited!

DH-to-be and I are I think just doing an excursion at Cozumel and site-seeing and shopping at the others (well, totally relaxing at CC!) :D

:scared1: I was told that I could book everything at 90 days from cruise! This will be our 11th, 12th and 13th cruise!
