So is anybody else excited about the new Outlook Cafe on the Wonder? It was built for the Alaska cruises.
This is not new, by a long shot. I forget when the Wonder was in dry dock last. DW and I normally sail on the Magic, but we were on a 4 day *practice* cruise on the Wonder (spring 2008) ... don't believe it was installed yet.
From my recollection, the enclosure was installed LONG before the Alaska rumors began to circulate

I am not sure if this has been addressed or not (DW is normally online ... not me) ... but, does anyone in a Suite or Concierge Collection know what entertainment is being provided for the REPO or inaugural Alaska? I checked Alfred & Seymour's website ... they will be on the Magic in May ... but not the Wonder. Just curious!

DW and I have taken reservations for about one dozen *guests* for the deluxe motorcoach transfer from
DisneyLand to the pier/port. As you will recall, this is a direct, non stop (private) transfer .. no need to go back to the airport, only to board (and pay for) yet another transfer to the pier. Cost is just $15 per person ($16 if paying via PayPal). If we get a very good turnout, excess monies received will be refunded (proportionately) to those who pay via PayPal. Please send a PM with questions or interest.
We hope to post reminders on this this thread from time to time. Let us know if you are ON THE FENCE, or plan to make reservations later on in February or March. FWIW, we cannot guarantee the availability to take last minute reservations, or walk up reservations, as we have to plan accordingly, in advance.

How does the Outlook Cafe work? I know that you pay for the drinks and coffees, but can you eat in there and does it cost extra?
...Snacks are complimentary (scones, pastries (etc) in the dsplay case). Don't forget to ask for your COVE CAFE card. You get one stamp for each coffee drink purchased ... you get the 10th or 11th free (I forget which one). You only need one card per family ... to accumulate a free coffee quicker.
There is no other food service available. There really is no place to bring in food from any of the food stations ... it's more of a relaxed, quite lounge area for reading, quite conversation, WiFi, etc. There are some books and magazine lying about. During past cruises, we generally bring current magazines or paperback novels ... then either leave then in the Cove Cafe, or donate them to the crew library (via a crew member).

I really wish they would allow kids in there during the day for AK cruises.... Maybe just make it closed to kids after 6pm or something like that.
The whole idea of ADULTS ONLY is to attract guests who wish to have a little peace and quiet (hence, then name). There are plenty of children only areas on the ship. Once you hit the 6PM witching hour ... you are smack dab in the middle of the evening show and dinner ... so ... allowing children in the adult only area before that time would pretty much void the area of being adult only, but for a very short period of time after the evening show & dinner. As for indoor viewing ... I am sure there will be hoards of people (including kids) inside Beach Blanket Bingo (TopSiders).
The entertainment area in the front of the ship is closed to children after 9PM, because of adult programming (as well as to allow for a quick sanity check). Prior to 9PM, planned activities are family friendly.

Hope you are all enjoying the cold weather. Alaska should be a nice, warm breeze!
