Thanks for the heads up on the port arrival information. I stopped at the payment information figuring I would do it later, but now I seen that you don't get the other screen until you complete that.

Regarding the port times, perhaps they are letting you in at 10 but not starting to check people in until 10:30?

Yes - we are taking the 5:45 Amtrak train to Seattle and we have a 7 AM flight home on Wed.

We also booked the a night tour (5:55) directly with http://www.alcatrazcruises.com/

We are also planning to do the Disney Family Museum on our own. I have a friend who lives locally that is going to be our transportation that day. The Disney excursion price was crazy - $129! The museum ticket is only $20 so the other $109 is to drive around in a bus and take pictures.

We booked 6:45 on our own- I figured if we're missing DCL dinner- we better allow as much time as possible between WDFM and alcatraz to grab something to eat somewhere. LOL
interesting because we also havea friend who lives locally that is going to join us and be our transportation for the day! Or maybe that's not all that surprising... it is in the U.S. and not some foreign port. haha
(mine is a fellow DISer I've cruised with a few times though haha)

Same about the WDFM- we'll be booking that on our own. $20 for adults and less for children... and they want $129 per person? NO thank you, DCL. LOL I'll be spending enough on the excursions in Alaska to make up for booking on my own for this cruise. haha

I went through the check-in procedure. We are staying at a Disney Cruise arranged hotel the night before, so it did not offer us a check-in time. (Yes, I realize this hotel option is probably more costly, but it saved me a lot of hassle.)

That's so interesting.
When I checked in May 3rd cruise it didn't take into account we'll be on the SHIP the week before- but it recognizes when you're staying at Disney arranged hotel? I still had to pick a time on may 3rd cruise when we're doing back to back cruises....
But I was still able to check in online on the room my name is on... for some reason everytime I try to log in (to complete the process and print out new signature form) for the room the guys are in (DH and son)-- it won't ever load up. It just keeps going right back to the same page with the reservation number/birthdate not put in anymore. No errors- just goes back to that page again and I keep entering the info and it does the same thing again. Did that last night and all day today. I can log in any other reservations we have all day long- but not that ONE. I'm trying not to get concerned about it- it still shows all their names when I log in MY reservation and look at cruise plans- all their names are listed. So it's not like it dropped that reservation or something. It's just irritating because I want to hurry up and get all this printed and put away and be done with it all. LOL

I've booked our Victoria excursion (seems kind of silly since we live in Victoria!) - we are having tea at the Empress just after noon.

I know I'm going to buy a City Pass for San Francisco for me and my daughter. That should let us see a bunch of stuff without too much $$$$. The Exploratorium and the cable cars are included and those were our must-dos.

Now all I have to really worry about is how I am going to get to San Pedro port from Anaheim. I am trying to arrange a reasonable unshared ride but may have to go with a shared shuttle. Any tips from those in the know?

We use SuperShuttle, last time we did, we were the only ones on the shuttle, so it is possible to get a private ride, but not guaranteed.

I checked their website and they suggested you purchase the tickets in advance which can do 60 days in advance on line. I just heard from one of my BFF who lives in Sacramento who is meeting us at the port!

then I went to see on DCL how much it cost and I thought... they are smoking something if they think I'm paying that much more. HAHA

The only thing I know is do not (repeat: do NOT!) book 5188 and probably not the same room opposite side of aft too- verandah is tiny.... and I don't mean smaller than normal. I mean like try to imagine just 1/4th triangle corner of a verandah- like that. It only has a bench and barely enough room for one person to stand between the outside wall of the stateroom and the verandah railing on the smaller part of that triangle. omg I'd be soooo upset if I got that room!
