One night waitlist - Presidents Week

Good morning!

We are planning a first time trip to Aulani next February. We are planning on going the 14-21 and have been able to get a confirmed ocean view two bedroom for the 14-16, and then the 17-21, the night of the 16th is waitlisted.

For those who have waitlisted just one night in February, have you had good luck with it? Should we book a different hotel for the one night to be safe? We have the waitlist in place and I’m also stalking the site daily

Just trying to weigh the options, worst case scenario we move for the one night.

I might play that game on the beginning or end of my trip, but not in the middle. It's too risky for me and my anxiety would be off the charts.

I can't speak for AUL in Feb, but in general I think there is a good chance since I positive experience waitlisting for July 4th and NYE at WDW resorts several months in advance.
There are 100+ 2B ocean view at AUL. It's not like those types of room with <20 inventory.
Still, book a refundable backup wouldn't hurt.
Either way, I totally resonate with your stress stalking for availability. Just take it easy as you still have time.

Update: the one night waitlist came through!! We’re so excited. Now to do some research on flights and planning
