    Anyone get room upgrades recently?

We were told that our complimentary room would likely be upgraded, but if we wanted to stay in that room beyond the first night, we would have to pay the upgraded price. So we chose a room that we could afford, and one of those nights will be comped.

Those who did the planning from home...

Those of you who were unable to go to Disney to do a formal planning session, and had to do all the planning from home, I ask for your honest opinion. What was the planning like? Difficult, easy? Any regrets? When you had the wedding, did everything come out like you had intended? Thanks to all...

    Calling all living seas brides...

I don't remember the exact price, it may be cheaper. It's a projection screen, so you can make a slide with whatever you want on it, like a collage of pics or your names, etc.

    Calling all living seas brides...

I think it was $600, or something, to project something on that screen. You could also cover it with greenery.

Questions about our upcoming site inspection

For our site visit, a few weeks ago, we met our SM at the pavilion, and she drove us (in a Cadillac) to the sites we wanted to see. You definitely need to choose the sites before-hand, in case the site is being used.

My review of the Disney Dining Plan

Just wanted to let everyone know my views on the DDP. It was incredible! We ate at Spoodles (B), Brown Derby (B+), Cindy's Table (C), Le Cellier (A), Wolfgang (A), and Cali Grill (A+++). First of all, we found only a few exclusions, which were obvious, like dessert sampler plates and gigantic...

Is a 7:30 PM ADR good for California Grill?

We just got back. We made one for Friday night at 7:30, arrived 10 minutes early and requested a window table. We waited about 20 minutes (had drink at the bar), then were seated with perfect view of MK. We didn't realize that the fireworks were at 10pm that night instead of 9pm. We told our...

2 months between wedding and reception

You could send out wedding invites 6-8 weeks before wedding, and word it something like this : reception to follow in January, more information to come. Then send out reception invites later. As for the honeymoon request, I wouldn't put that info in the official invite, leave it to word of mouth...

One dining plan credit over... If you HAD to pay...

If we share 2-credits from one card to share lunch at Brown Derby, that will leave one card with more credits. Are you allowed to use one card to pay for two 1-credit meals later (one for me and one for DF)? If that's allowed, I will probably share at BD, and maybe order an extra entree. We...

Cinderella Royal Table Reservation with Dining Package

We made a PS for 6 adults (all on dining plan), and got charged $60 about a month later. CM told us that once we check-in for our PS at CRT, the money would be refunded back to the credit card. If we no-show, they keep the money.

One dining plan credit over... If you HAD to pay...

I have PS's for dinner at Spoodles, Wolfgang Puck, and Cali Grill, and PS's for lunch at CRT, Brown Derby, and Le Cellier. I am one TS dining credit over. Which restaurant would you pay out of pocket for? It is just me and my DF. Should we maybe share the credits on one or two days? What would...

Incorporating Disney Music into your Event

How has everyone incorporated Disney music into their events? What Disney songs have you used at key times in the event? I am considering using Disney music during the recessional, cake cutting, bouquet/garter toss, etc... Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks all!!

Children under 3 are free, but they do contribute to your guest number, as they do take up space.

    Package Bar or Hosted Bar?

Package Bar or Hosted Bar? What does everyone think? What's usually cheaper? Past brides, what did you do?

Minimums are calculated before or after tax?

Do the minimums include tax and gratuity? When adding towards meeting your Disney wedding day minimum, do you include the tax and grat? Also, when meeting your food and beverage minimums (per person minimum and venue minimum), do you include tax and grat? I just realized this bit of information...

    Paging Skylarr!

I was told that the site fee was merely a venue rental fee, and is supposed to replace the hostess fee. :confused3

Would anyone mind sharing their recent actual budget, like the one Disney has provided you? Either planning or final budget spreadsheets would be useful. Please email to fmdelano@comcast.net Thanks in advance!

Bring your own fridge or coffee maker?

Let me rephrase. Our ASMo hotel has neither a fridge nor coffee maker, and I dont want to pay to rent a fridge. I have a mini-fridge that I can bring (I am driving only 4 hours to Disney) and thought it was a good idea to cut cost. Just wondering if anyone has done this. I thought it was a good...
