    Looking to share campsite

I know you said you don't want to wait until fall, when is it you were planning to go? I think this is an interesting idea. Just a thought though, you would really have to find someone without a package because everyone on the site has to be under the same package, i.e. dining, etc. As long as...

    How much is too much?

Well, my family is probably the exception to the rule, but since there are 8 people in our family, the Fort is ALWAYS more affordable for us than booking 2 hotel rooms. Plus, its the best place to stay at WDW! Nothing like having your own little yard for the kids to run around in. :thumbsup2

For All of you that drive from DFW (or close to) to Orlando..... Question??

Its not a bad drive from there. Just take I-12 out of Baton Rouge eastbound then I-10 eastbound to I-75 southbound. Its really an easy drive just gets a little boring in the Florida panhandle( not much to see for awhile). Keeping the kids occupied is the challenging part. We have to seperate...

What is your worst CS in WDW???

    Dh and I taking a trip alone.......suggestions?

My DH and I always go to Narcoossee's on each of our Disney trips and it is our special dinner alone. :woohoo: We will be going again to dinner without the kids on our upcoming trip. We love hanging out on the deck together and the food is wonderful.

I know most people don't do this but...

We have gotten full takeout from Shutters at CBR-- entrees, drinks, and desserts. We took it with us on our drive home from vacation. :woohoo: So the restaurants do take out, but it may depend in the parks on how busy they are.:confused3

FREE $500 Disney Gift Card - new PIN #

Just got mine in the mail yesterday but one problem. I am booked 4-19 through 5-2 already at Fort Wilderness but that $500 would have been nice.

Updated 1/30! Is Narcoosies not taking ADRs for some reason?

We are going 4-25 and were able to get ADR's 90+10 as this was the 5th night of the trip. I did have to call back 2 days later to reserve our last 2 ADR's for the trip as our trip is 12 nights and had no problems. In fact I had no problems with any ADR's for the entire trip and all expect for...

Has anyone done Boy Scout or Girl Scout camping at FW?

I would reccommend the Y.E.S. program and 2 partial sites. We took a troop down in 2007 with 22 girls plus leaders spread over 3 sites. The girls really loved it. Working through the YES program makes it one stop shopping on most things is is worth looking into.

How many of you "tag" your kids with info in case they get lost?

The easy way to tag them is go to Tractor Supply and get the livestock ear taggers. Had to do that after they started to complain about lugging around that car battery that powered the gps transmitter inbedded in their heads and the stobe light mounted on top.:rotfl: Really my better half...

    dinner reservations for large groups

With 3 days till trip going to be hard to pre plan but when you get there it doesnt hurt to ask. Our last trip we took a Girl Scout troop down for a week (yes we are that crazy to take a group of 28  ) and a group of 12 of us wanted to sit down in air conditioning for lunch at Epcot at...

Pregnant, Best time to take the baby...

From experience when YOU are comfortable with everything. The first is always and eye opener. We have left babies with grandparents for trips but have also taken trips with one that was 6 weeks old for us not a big deal. I know that when they are so little that dont remember a thing but at that...

    (Vote) 2009 Dining Plans

We are doing the regular dining plan again in April, not to save money mind you ( we could eat for alot less) but for the ease of pre-paying and to be able to enjoy places that we would normally not go to. If I have to pay out of pocket my wallet is like a steel trap not wanting to open, my mind...

    Children and strange sleeping spots

Everyone of ours has done the same thing at one point. With ours it was after they learn to work the doorknob in their bedroom and then they grow out of it without any fuss:confused3 . We noticed it started after moving to a toddler bed but never had a problem with them climbing out of their cribs.

    Disney in Louisiana

If Disney were to do anything in this state I would expect something in the film industry due to the tax breaks. Disney has filmed some stuff up in this part of the state post Katrina and we are seeing alot more films up this way.

    Driving all night

The key to it is to be well rested before you leave with at least a nap and having a relief driver is great to have. We usually drive at night when we go and swap driving in the wee hours of the morning (2am-3am). Good music, book on tape, listen to a movie playing on the tv's in back helps...

    Worth purchasing an RV?

We have done both and each have their advantages to us. We own numerous tents and a hybrid travel trailer that the entire crew can fit in. The key to tent camping is staying dry so being prepared is the key. It is definately the least expensive way to go. We tow the trailer with a 1 ton Chevy...
