    The Village Haus

Dining plan vouchers are great but you can't use them to buy Tigger Tails :( because they are only sold at pooh's corner candy shop and are considered merchandise rather than food service item. But go ahead and buy one anyway...totally fun and delicious treat! :))

    Help with Monterey!

Hwy 1 & 101 are great drives if you have the time. Monterey aquarium is definitely doable in four hours. It was packed when we were there last week and we skipped the most crowded areas (which were the least interesting anyway, it was strange to see what was popular). We went through quickly in...

A Walk in Walt's Disneyland Footsteps Tour (Questions)

I did the tour in May. Just FYI for gluten intolerant folks who might be considering the tour: I was able to order a gluten free lunch, no problem. (The dessert contained no gluten but was not made in a gf kitchen.) The tour was well worth the time and money, in my opinion, and it was great to...

    Cupcakes

I have gluten intolerance so I have never tried the cupcakes at Disneyland but I still enjoy seeing the variety through the year. I always take a photo of the pastry case at Jolly Holiday. :)

    Character Meals Super Thread!!

I have been lucky to dine at Ariel's Grotto three times this past year. Twice for breakfast and once for lunch. The first two visits had the same line up of princesses: Ariel, Belle, Cinderella, Aurora, & Snow White but this past week we had Ariel, Belle, Snow White, Jasmine and Tiana. That was...

    The Walt Disney Family Museum

This was a really great museum for my kids and I. The drive through downtown San Francisco is a little difficult but once there, what a great place to spend a few hours. We only had 1.5 hrs and easily could have doubled that (they close at six). Eleven galleries of art, photos, video and...

    Unique Foods to Disneyland

We had Tigger Tails yesterday. Half of one is enough, but yum! Where do you find Cheshire Cat tails?

Mt Rainier or Mt St Helens?

What time of year? Mt. Rainier is so beautiful in July-August. Fantastic views and wildflowers if you go around Chinook Pass also. But if the clouds come in, you can be right in the mountain and not see the peak. :/ Paradise Lodge is a good place to eat also. Great visitors center.

    The Walt Disney Family Museum

Glad to hear younger kids have enjoyed it. I am taking my four children ages 7-15 on Saturday. Looking forward to it, especially with the new movie about Walt Disney coming soon.

Just back and a few thoughts

Your review was a pleasure to read. Glad to hear you and your family had such a great trip. I'm adding Dancing with Disney to my list for next month. My kids will love it.

    Disneyland Hotel or Grand Californian

I have stayed at dlh and gch, much prefer disneyland hotel for decor, size of rooms, ambience. Grand Californian does have the advantage of being closer to the parks but it is so dark, very busy/noisy, small rooms and more expensive. I wouldn't choose to stay at gch again. Dlh is simply magical...

    Ariel's Grotto question

We have eaten family style at Ariel's grotto with a party of six and they simply brought us two platters or towers of every course, which made a nice large meal. Very good food there, in my opinion. Not as fancy as the premium restaurants but still very good prix fixe style dining.

    Fantasy Faire Question

I watched both shows at the fantasy faire theater, really, really fun, like a Shakespeare in the park kind of experience. I was surprised at how good it was, and appealing to little kids as well as adults and teens. There is a meet and greet inside the theatre after the show. If you leave the...

    Limited Time Magic-April

This was so much fun. All the characters were really charming. I was able to see two sets of characters every thirty minutes. So if you stay long enough, you can for sure see them all. Annual pass holders are let into the jamboree area thirty minutes before other guests (10 instead of 10:30)...

    Romantic dinners

It would be easier to recommend if you could suggest what kind of food you like. Steak, seafood, pasta, vegetarian? Most of the nice romantic restaurants serve very good food though reading the menu may seem complex. Blue bayou has great ambience.

Advice on transport for 6 people to/from GCH....

Our party of six took a taxi from SNA to Disneyland hotel for forty dollars plus tip. If you don't see an appropriate sized van just go to the cab stand and tell them you need transportation for six and they'll pull up a van in about five minutes. Definitely cheaper than renting a vehicle since...

    Bbq or carnation cafe?

Thunder Mt. BBQ is family style with meat (ribs, sausage, chicken), bread, coleslaw salad, beans and corn on the cob. If your little kids will enjoy that food along with the outdoor entertainment then I would go there. It's a lot more fun. But if you want a kids meal (burger, sandwich or...
