FASTPASS being added to many Epcot and Studios attractions

Guys, this is not about improving the park experience OR drawing people to other attractions Disney's purpose is to gather information on how each guest tours with these new RFID chips. They don't just want to know when you ride the headliners, they want to also know how you fill your time...

Dates revealed for Splash Mountains annual refurb in 2013

Very much needed but sympathize with those of you with trips during the refurb. Even though MK is a huge park with a lot to do and see, this is by far the ride I'd be most dissapointed to miss when there.

with the MK changes, I don't know what to do first...

This is a huge deal, so if a plan is incorporating this thought then it is likely a good thing. FP enforcement makes for TONS more walking - especially if you were a commando touring group.

with the MK changes, I don't know what to do first...

FP Space, ride pan, head to Frontierland for BTMRR/SM. The big change is that Dumbo is no longer a first thing must do - the dual spinners and FP availability make them low wait, can ride later. Pooh is probably the second hardest attraction in Fantasyland (pre phase 2 opening) I...

    How long at Animal Kingdom

Agree with this. AK is underrated, and it takes time. It has the best parade on property, and 3 great shows (Flights of Wonder, Nemo, Lion King) - this can account for 3 hours alone easily. The two walking trails are also worthwhile, and I like to ride the Safari at least twice per day...

Families of 5 (or more)-Where do you stay on property?

POR works great for us, but we only use the room as a place to sleep. The pulldown bed is quite nice (fit all of our 3 kids fine), and the refurbed rooms in the AB section came out great. It's not spacious, but not uncomfortably tight either. It's also by far the most cost effective on...

Help planning 8 full days at Disneyworld!

This sounds like a once in a lifetime (or once in a long time trip). IF that's the case: - I'd ditch the WPFM pass - the WDW waterparks are great, but a waterslide is a waterslide, and you can visit a waterpark near home. I haven't done DisneyQuest yet, primarily because even when we did...

WDW to use Wristbands in place of Tickets

Sure, put an RFID reader at the entrance to each bathroom then you will know how many times a typical guest visits a restroom. Also, by knowing traffic flow within a park, they will know how many toilets they need and where to place bathrooms.

WDW to use Wristbands in place of Tickets

This is invevitable - the whole FP+ change is not about improving the guest experience or getting you on a ride quicker. It is 100% about collecting data and marketing. Once they rifd you for FP+, they will be collecting data on you all day long - when you rode a bus/monorail, how many times...

Family of 5 - choices limited

We just did POR with an 8, 10,11 The refurb end rooms are fine for 5. A bit bigger and the pull down bed is really nice. We will be back next year

What Disney movie needs and attraction at Disney World?

This movie preaches anti consumerism, not exactly a great fit for the post ride gift shop

Disney VISA Free 6 Months for Package

I realize this is an offered "benefit", but its just not a good idea. It is just a ploy to get you to run up a balance. Disney is already very flexible in letting you book a trip with only 200 down and you don't need to pay it off until 45 days. Credit card debt is a killer Instead of...

Starting to second guess my park strategy! Advice?

Why don't you change your reservation to reduce the ticket days to 6 then? You can always add on during the trip if you decide you will do more, but I don't see the point of buying more tickets up front then you intend to use. As for convincing - we spend every available moment in a WDW park...

Best plans for DHS & EP PM EMH?

You really cannot plan for pm emh - you never know how crowded the park will be or what the SB waits are going to be. The best way to attack pm emh is just to wander and use your smart phone to see what wait times are and react. We rarely will wait in a S! SB line at E pmh - it's just too...

Can this be true, or another "Disney Legend?"

Just read the story again. It's kinda like an episode of "Touch" - Just needs an overly dramatic Kiefer Sutherland running around WDW saying "Jake"

Test Track to open in 44 days

If you've ever been involved in a large construction project, being able to pin a completion/open time down to a number of days is impossible, especially when you are talking about another month and a half. This far out you are lucky if you can guess within 2 weeks. My kids often ask me to...

    Mulan in Epcot?

Out in front of the pavilion as you walk by it - if she is out, you couldn't miss her.

    Visa Meet and Greet

We have had the entire fab 4, and we have had just a single character. Just don't go with any expectations. I also find that the lighting in there is awful and the pictures don't come out great, however it's a free perk, so we still do it.

    Dumbo while pregnant?

I'm surprised that every ride doesn't have the standard "not for you if you are or may be pregnant" line simply as a legal disclaimer.
