I am actually gutted... no. Gutted is an understatement. Unless they build something ASTOUNDING, I don't think I have a reason to go back to Universal Studios next time I go to Florida. :sad2:

There isn't a backlot tour at Universal ORlando. The Backlot Tour in MGM USED to be really, really good. I don't remember when it was the all out 2 hour tour. But I do remember when they split the tour in 2. So they had the special effects tour (water tanks, HSTK bee, Lottery ticket, 101...

FWIW, I went in September and NEVER had a problem with the standby line for Splash, it always moved fairly steadily. Even when it was backed up to the barn doors it was less than a 45 minute wait. I must have rode Splash at least 5 times and only used FP once maybe twice.

I'd actually say this is pretty easily done, providing you don't hit traffic! I wouldn't use WDW transportation, it will eat up too much time.

I'm worried about the snow too. The cold.. well... I'll just have to layer up! Thing is though, we are gonna try and do a cheapo trip to Florida next year,... I think... if we can find a deal... I just think that for just over £400 we could have a lovely post xmas break... Only got till tues...

Hey everyone, thinking of booking a short trip (well it'll be the longest I've ever done to DLP) in Jan. 2 questions 1) How will the crowds be mid Jan (16th onwards) 2) How cold is it likely to be in Jan, colder than North-West England? Snow? Rain? Miserable?
