Your ULTIMATE SURVIVAL GUIDE to Disney World at Christmas Time! UPDATE x2 10/21

 You can tell the hotel was designed in the 90s...look at all the mirrors!

Hahaha oh I know right? And that teal leather couch! :lmao:

Loved the update! Would you recommend T-Rex over Rainforest Cafe in Animal Kingdom? We have ADRs at RC for lunch and now I am contemplating trying to switch.

Thank you! If I had to choose between the two, I would DEFINITELY go to T-Rex. I just absolutely love it there. And I like it a bit more than Rainforest. However, if going to DTD is totally out of your way, staying with Rainforest is still a valid choice. Whatever you think works best for you! (but I REALLY love T-Rex :thumbsup2)

That is a super stylin' green leather couch at your villa. :rotfl2:

That food definitely looked yummy, and those quesadilla's are going to have to be on my list based on your recommendation. :thumbsup2

Bahahaha seriously though :lmao:

It was SO good! And YESS I'm so glad! I promise you will love them!

YAY, you're in Disney!! Omg, I'm so excited... you had 12 whole days there... this TR is gonna be going on forever! And I can't believe you are going back so soon. I am SO jealous. I know I've said that 500 times but I really can not even put in to words how much I want to go. So I will have to live vicariously through you. Please update your twitter approximately every 45 seconds.

Whoa, thank God I just had Chipotle:love: or else I would be epicly hungry after the TREX update. I love that place so much. Oh, whatever, I'm still totally craving their food now even though I'm full. I'm a frump.

I WANT A CAKE POP SO BAD. It's painful for me to go into Starbucks these days b/c they have the most delicious raspberry truffle cake pops and they taunt me. They're small and only like 150 calories each or something but I cannot be eating cake that often. In Disney though... that's another story.

I can just imagine you and your mom being so annoyed staying off property again. I can't wait until you switch!! :dance3:

Yay! And oh my gosh I know, right!? Is there a limit on how many posts you can have in a thread? Because at the rate we're going... I'm afraid we are going to go over that limit. Part two anyone?

I can't believe we're going back in 13 days! It's RIDICULOUS! Oh my gosh. Like.. I can't even comprehend it. I have so much stuff going on between wrapping up my crew assignment with our musical, finals, and then my birthday. And then BAM I'm going right to Disney! It's perfect. :thumbsup2

I so wish you could go!! But I will tweet a lot just for you! :goodvibes I hope you enjoy them!

I love that you love Chipotle. Because Kristen and I do too. IT'S SO GOOD!!! But lol yeah I always crave Disney food even when I'm ridiculously full  No shame. It's all part of being a frump.

LOL did you see that there are now going to be starbucks in Disney World?! Holy Moly. But anyways... I TOTALLY know what you mean!! I always want one but I restrain myself. But in Disney I don't have any problems because calories aren't real ;) I seriously almost bought a cake pop that day when I got my Chocolate covered pretzel. That would have been slightly obnoxious though  But I would have done it.

hahahaha SPOILER ALERT! wait... what? :lmao: But really. I can't wait either! These first few days of the trip were so wonderful once we got situated!

So glad to see another report!
I actually was at DTD last Friday (driving home from SW Florida) and the 2 places we decided to eat at were T-Rex and Goofy's Candy Company - I guess great DIS minds think alike. :thumbsup2 I had the Guacasaurus Burger - quite yummy! I love how all the food has dino themed names. And, I am now in love with cake pops!

Hooray! Thank you! Aww were you!? SUCH a good combo! :thumbsup2 That sounds DELICIOUS! I love Dino theme names too! It makes it even better!

Yay, for T-Rex! We so liked it too! I think themeing is some of the best I've ever seen!

Thanks for posting all the Goofys pictures, I'm going through a munchie day and I feel the urge to eat my laptop screen.::yes::

I'm so glad you guys enjoyed it as well! And I completely agree!

You're so welcome! Sorry I was tempting you!

We love TRex too. I stayed at that same resort in 2003 for a disney family reunion trip with my parents interval timeshare but it was called something else then they haven't changed a thing... crazy!

I just realized that Mystic Dunes was where we stayed a couple of years ago! It really didn't hold up to even some of the other offsite villas we've stayed and definitely not to the Disney hotels. But at least it was clean and close to Disney, and it seems much better than the one you almost stayed at on the first trip!!

YAY T-REX, AGAIN! That place is definitely a good one to go to for a walk-up!

Good HEAVENS, WHAT are those ginormous Oreo looking things on the bottom shelf at Goofy's (in the first picture)? Hot dang.

Yall's candy creations are making me wish I enjoyed pretzel rods hahah.

Okay there is again something fishy about this place. What could have taken so long to check in to a place for like 2-3 nights? Especially since it's not like you had park tickets or a meal plan attached, or anything like that, like you would at a Disney resort. Sketch... Anyways, I don't blame you for wanting to GO GO GO instead of watching Raymond, hahaha. :hyper:

Isn't it great!? I love it :goodvibes
Did you really? Haha yeah it looks like it's been that way for a long time!

Haha really? That's funny! No, it's definitely not the best. But it worked I guess  And it was definitely better than the westgate!

I know! SUCH a good choice :thumbsup2

I don't know but I want one!!

Haha I mean... they're covered in chocolate. You can't go wrong :rotfl:

LOL oh I know. I don't trust any of the hotels on that strip in Kissimmee. There's just something weird about them! And yeah... I mean I love Raymond, but not more than Disney! (but that should be obvious )

WOOT, DTD! What a great way to start a trip while you're staying outside of the parks :thumbsup2 Ooooooo... T-Rex... I'm so jealous you got to go there. When my friends and I thought about walking up, the line went all the way to the end of the refurb walls that were in front of the Lego store at the time. It was ridiculous! Definitely making sure to mentally add your note because I think I want to go there. Those T-Rexadillas look delicious so does the soup and what your brother got... oh, I absolutely love those plates! They should sell those  The atmosphere is of course cool too! A big thumbs up to coloring too, you silly child! ;)

YAY GOOFY'S CANDY COMPANY! I can't believe of all the times I passed by that place on my last trip I didn't stop, everything looks so delectable and sweet and yummy and... all those lovely food adjectives! Mmmmm... I could totally go for the Mickey Rice Krispies and those Big Mickey Cookies! Oh, Mickey, why so delicious? But what you got is good too and I can't wait to see a review of the Red Velvet Cake Pops on your next trip (since I'm sure you'll be stopping there for those). Good choice on adding the white chocolate drizzle :)

LOL @ your parent's not knowing about Ghirardelli's free samples! Absolutely love those things and they are bottomless samples too (if that's possible). I walked around in circles in their once, got a free sample everytime. And I'll DEFINITELY have to go at Christmas or Halloween someday since they have special flavors then ::yes:: This I learned through being an "Honorary Cast Member" for the day by the way, you know... just saying... hehe

Sorry you had to admire the sacred World of Disney store, but now we get to see how the hotel faired! A shame it wasn't in Celebration like it said, that would've been cool to see how that little area looked, but still... close to Disney! ::yes:: Sorry you had to wait in the car so long, but at least you were able to force your brother into listening to Epic Disney music while you waited. Smart choice boy! :D lol The room does look very nice, a shame they didn't have cots or roll aways so you wouldn't have to share your bed with a sick brother. I think that would've been better for both of you, but sounds like you were out of there quickly (though Everybody Loves Raymond, totally plausible reason to stay)!

Can't wait to read about your adventures in the first park of the trip! :mickeyjum

AHH I cannot get over how good those T-rexidillas and tomato soup look! I HAVE to go there- sadly we weren't able to get reservations last trip.

Disney should open up a restaurant chain so we could eat delicious Disney food whenever we please :goodvibes

Yes definitely! Aww I'm sorry that the line was so long when you got there! You'll have to go there next time because it's DELICIOUS!

I never stop there so I had to make sure it happened on this trip! Everything in there is is AMAZING :cloud9: I need to make sure I get a cake pop next time!

Haha I actually never got one until that trip when they discovered it for themselves! I always forget about it. And mmm I wonder what the halloween sample is!

Haha I mean, no one was mad. We got to go shopping later in the trip! :thumbsup2 Yeah everything was going alright so far! The hotel caused a few problems but it wasn't anything we couldn't fix!

Can't wait to read about your adventures in the first park of the trip! :mickeyjum

Thanks! They're coming up soon!

YAY back to Disney World! I despise getting up early, except on Disney days! That is such an amazing feeling!

I love how you managed to cheer your dad up with the deer face. It's truly magic!

Wow, flight snacks have come a long way since I last flew in 2008. This gives me hope for my flight home in July!

Wow, you guys got there so early!! Flights with no layovers are the best! :thumbsup2

YAY for walking in to T-Rex! What a wonderful way to start your vacation! And except for Jonathan's cold fries, it sounds like another wonderful meal! :goodvibes

Hmmm, well this place looks better than the place where you and your mom were. Still, I know you were missing Disney! :)

By the way, I'm loving the tweets! I totally need to do that on my next trip!

Can't wait for more!

Why are your trip reports so brilliant!? I've loved reading every single bit of all of them and can't wait for more updates on this one! I'm very jealous you got to go twice in one month! P.s - I think you should go in May 2013 so we can have a DisMeet. And you can show me your British accent haha :thumbsup2

LOL I know, right? The deer face works wonders.

Yeah those cinnamon things are good! If you're taking southwest maybe they will have them!

I agree! Direct Flights are just perfect.

Mmmm T-Rex :lovestruc I'm glad my Dad and my brother liked the meal as much as we did!

Oh yes, I definitely was! You will see how we fared at the off property resort :p

Thank you! Tweeting from Disney is EXTREMELY fun! You'll have to follow along on our next trip on twitter!

Thank you!

The updates look great! Between trips it looks like you really had fun with your friends! I'm super jealous of your nail painting skills, I would love to do that! Also, I definitely have that "love" with the mickey head ring, love it!

The start of the new trip looks awesome, I absolutely love TRex!

I can't wait to get even more into this trip! There's lots of fun stuff coming up! And so do I! It's so good!

Keep it coming! I am lovin' it :)

I'm so glad! Will do! :thumbsup2

That greenish fake leather couch looks suspiciously like the one in Westgate... was there some sort of sale on ugly couches in central Florida?!? :rotfl2:

Ohmygosh, that quesidilla looks soooo good! My eyes went straight to the beautiful guacamole. I have a hard time eating soup when it's warm, but the tomato soup looks so tasty too! I'm not a dinosaur person, but maybe I'll give T-Rex a shot on another trip. I need to find someone with little kids who love dinosaurs and I'll tag along with them. I can't even imagine how fun that place would be for a dino-obsessed kid!!

Okay I will to try to persuade my parents to go to T-Rex again. Those quesdillas look so good! Yum yum! :)

Whenever I'm at Goofy's I always seem to get the cookies. The big ones at the bottom;Selma's. So delicious! I love the peanut butter ones. They are HUGE! I will have to try to get something else...haha I doubt that will happen because I always crave those stupid cookies lol. I'll have them soon!!! If you're a cookie fan you must try them! Especially the peanut butter one; so moist and fantastic.

Haha I know right!? I thought the exact same thing! There probably was :lmao:

Mmmm it was SO delicious! And yeah it was tasty! It was a unique flavor for a tomato soup, but I liked it. You should definitely try T-Rex out sometime! I really enjoyed it! I'm pretty much impartial to dinosaurs but I really enjoyed this restaurant!

You definitely should!

I never have gotten the cookies! I usually don't pick cookies as my first choice dessert, but maybe someday if I'm in the mood I will try one!

great update! TRex looks SOOOOO good!!!
love the teal couches :-)

Thanks! It really was! And bahaha oh those couches. They're somethin' alright.
