Chapter 35: TIME TO GO BACK TO DISNEY! YAYAYAY!
December 21st, 2011
I woke up and it was PITCH BLACK in my room. 4:18 AM is a ridiculously early time to get up. And when your eyes are tired, the sight of an iPhone is extremely blinding at this hour of the morning.
BAMMMMMM. Light.
But then I read:
Kara:
Um, I think it's you who's going somewhere wonderful today, right? Or am I confusing you with someone else?
Lia: YOU'RE GOING TO DISNEY TODAY, PRINCESS!!!!!

On December 21st at 4:18 am I tweeted:
TODAY IS THE DAY!!!!!!!!!!! AHHHHH
LET THE MEMORIES BEGIN!....but really
I woke up to these wonderful "YOU'RE GOING TO DISNEY TODAY!" tweets from two of my very best DIS friends, Lia and Kara. YAYAYAY they made me so happy! It was quite funny because Kara still hadn't gone to sleep when I was waking up that morning! What a frump!
Sooooo yeah, it's true. I WAS GOING TO DISNEY!!!!!!
I finally peeled my tired self out of bed at 4:30 am and went upstairs to take a shower. Then I got dressed, put on some make up, and got ready for my big day! The rest of my toiletries and electronics got packed, and I rolled my suitcase out into the entrance so it could be put in the car. WOOHOO!
It was about 45 degrees out that morning. That is unusually warm for December, especially since it was so early. However, it made our car loading job much less painful.
We were all packed up and left the house at 5:40 am! AHHH YAYYY! I was so excited!
Everyone else was extremely tired, though. Especially my Dad. He's not a fan of these early flights, and he was stressing out about leaving work. He was just so grouchy and it stressed everyone else out. Especially me. I was going to Disney and he was putting a damper on my spastic Disney self so I was not happy with his behavior.
I tweeted:
I don't think my Dad could be more chipper. #sarcasm #BEHAPPYDAMNIT
On our way to the airport, we stopped at Tim Horton's! Mom and I split a Cinnamon Raisin Bagel with peanut butter. I didn't want to get full on....
normal food. So this was all I was willing to eat at this point!
We drove and drove and finally got to the airport! We checked our suitcases and Dad's was a little over the weight limit. He had to put some of his stuff in mine, and thankfully it all evened out.
We got in line for security next! It was a little longer than usual but it wasn't too bad.
My next tweet:
I never noticed but my Dad is making the deer face in his license picture. That's fantastic. #heISmyfather
I wish I had a picture of his license picture to show you, but my Dad is TOTALLY making the deer face. Like daughter like father, am I right?
My frumpy discovery of this made him laugh and after that point he was in much better spirits.
The deer face never fails me.
We got through security without a problem and sat at Gate 16. It was super crowded because there were multiples plane loads sitting at our same gate.
My Dad saw one of his old friends and he was going on our plane too! We found out, though, that his wife passed away a few months ago, which is so sad. I felt terrible. Him and his two kids were heading down to Disney for the holidays and they were staying at the Boardwalk. I hope they had a very nice time!
Time passed quickly and then we were on our plane! We were taking Southwest Airlines. I was in Row 14 by the window, Mom was in the middle, and Jonathan sat on the end. Then Dad was in the row across from us!
Airplane tweets:
I like to eavesdrop on people's Disney conversations on the plane
"We are ready for take off."
We had an awesome stewardess. She was super funny! At the beginning of the flight she told us, "So now, sit back and relax! ...Or sit up and be tense. Whatever you want to do." LOL. And she sang Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer when we were landing. So funny.
The flight was generally pretty good but it got turbulent for a while. I was asleep for about half of the flight, though, so it was okay.
I also listened to Disney music and wrote in my newly decked out trip journal!
Here are better pictures of the trip journal. I decorated it so nicely this trip! And I ended up filling this entire thing PLUS another half a notebook.
The front:
And the back:
Recognize some of those pictures from the last trip? LOL
They gave us these Cinnamon Roll Thin Crisps on the flight and they were REALLY good. Best airplane food I have ever been given, honestly. I ate them all!
So at 10:20 am....
WE HAVE OFFICIALLY LANDED IN FLORIDA!!!! Welcome home
We arrived 25 minutes ahead of schedule! (We were supposed to get there at 10:45!) So that was very exciting! YAY! TIME FOR DISNEY!
I also tweeted this disclaimer to all of my twitter followers:
If you havent figured it out by now, i'll be tweeting about Disney a lot. So if you're not a Disney fan, I'd suggest that you unfollow me
It's so true.
We got off the plane and went on the mini monorail.
Can we just talk about how much I love the smell of MCO? WELCOME TO FLORIDA!!!
We got our luggage and went to the National car rental.
YES FOLKS. That is TWO trips IN A ROW where I don't get to go on my beloved Magical Express to Disney World. *sigh*
We picked out a silver Ford Escape.
I was SO SAD because I forgot my GPS at home and I had imported all of the Disney addresses I would need! Dang it. So we had to rent another one.
We pulled out of the garage and started making our way towards the Happiest Place on Earth!
On the road to Disney
I am only minutes away from being home! I can't believe it's only like 11 am and we are in Florida already!
