Can anyone tell me what exactly is in the Passporter?
I have found so much useful information here, I can't possibly beleive that there is any more info to be found!

I know the cost is pretty minimal, and I've heard that it is indispensible.
For those of you that have used it....could you live without it???;)

Yes, I could Live without it, and probably have a pretty good cruise. But now that I have it I find lots of helpful info, good reference, can jot notes from threads along side info in book, etc. Also I have the version with the day polanner type cover and it is proving quite helpful for keeping things collected and organized as we get closer to our date.

Save your money and buy something on the ship. Mine is sitting in my nightstand and has been there for a while. I can't say that I found one bit of information that I hadn't heard here. Will I pack it with me when we sail? Probably. Do I think I will actually read or use it while I'm on vacation? Not at all.

kellyb...that's kind of what I'm thinking
I know it isn't that much money...but I like your idea. I'd rather use that for something on the ship. Hey, I could probably have two specialty drinks instead!!!

I bought one and read it cover to cover in one day. But, I am also the type that has to see every bit of information out there. Could you manage without it....yes. I just wanted it for my own quick reference guide. If I need to look something up in a hurry and I don't want to seach all over for it on the net....I'm gald I have mine.

We used our Passporter to help select a room while booking onboard. Was very helpful to have all info in one place. It is nice to have everything in a small package with index to help.

While I've only cruised twice before on Disney, I do read all the boards constantly. I did go get the passporter for reading up on my 7 night cruise on June 7th. I did found information that I didn't know about, like being able to book Palo twice for my husband and I since we have 2 cabins booked. I also liked having all of the information readily available in regards to the excursions for referencing while booking them.
I also read the book in one day, but I can honestly say that I enjoyed it and I'm glad that I got it.

I searched and searched for our copy and drove 50 miles one way to purchase it. I am glad I did.
I love these boards and a lot of my questions have been answered but I like the book too.
I read it the first night but refer back to it all the time. I feel really prepared for our cruise.
I like the fact it is right in front of me and sometimes I can't find a past topic on this board.
I would highly recommend it to any cruiser--not just on the DCL.
I am a very prepared person and need to research everything so I thank the authors for taking the time to put it all down in a book.
It is also a great size to take with us.
Hope this helps.

On my first cruise on March 8th, I did lots of research using the passporter and the boards here. Actually the passporter is how I found the boards. As a first time Disney cruiser I think it helped alot. Would I order an updated copy, maybe not. I did order the one for WDW. It was definitely invaluable for me as a first timer.

Even though I run a Disney Cruise website, I find myself referring to the Passporter to find an answer quickly when someone emails me a question and I'm not quite sure of the information. A lot of times, it's quicker to find it in the book than to look up my own website (hubby does a lot of work on the site, and his organizational style isn't the same as mine).

Where the Passporter could be most improved is more information on non-Disney excursions at the ports of call (operators, prices, maps, etc). Second would be more info for on-ship activities, but like any book of this nature could become "dated" by the time the edition is in print.

Lots of posts Sally and others have made these boards very valuable as a supplement, but the Passporter is a great one-stop cornucopia of DCL information.

However, I found it worthwhile and informative reading and definitely worth what I paid for it. Bravo on a great work!

If you want it be improved in future editions, pass along your experiences to Jennifer and Dave. They have a website and e-mail addresses, and I'm sure would appreciate any tip or information that would improve future versions of their product.

It's well worth the money. You can't carry the DIS boards around with you, unless you have internet access on a cell phone or Blackberry type device........

I love these boards, but the Passporter is a well organized reference book you can put in your purse!

I cruised twice on the Magic and twice on the Wonder without it already, but I think it's fantastic and am very glad I paid the money to get it. There was a lot of information I didn't know and am glad to find out now since I plan to cruise at least twice a year, if not more!!!

I got one, but thought that the book has great info for those who did not get a chance to visit this board. However, once coming on this board and sailed with DCL, the need for this book diminished significantly. I hoped that in the second edition, they would lay out the "dining" rotation in a more organized fashion (in a table format), maybe some booking/planning tips, or "touring guide" for various demographics (family with small children, adults only, etc.).

I love my passporter - I'll definately need it for onboard as I won't have the "boards". I found it a good place to have a lot of what I have learnt on here but now I don't need to print it all off. The book to me is essentially handy :) but I always have to take some sort of guidebook on holiday !
