My DH and I both have the "real" Crocs - he wore his all day every day in the parks and was perfectly comfortable. I developed lower back pain wearing them for that many hours and had to buy some nikes (I had only brought the Crocs ;-( So now I bring the Crocs to wear around my room or to the pool, and other walking shoes for the parks.
Everyone is different. My advice would be, just make sure to bring an alternative pair of shoes in case the Crocs give you problems!

Ditto! I don't wear the Crocs for walking long distances but for spending a few hours in a park and standing in line, they are great! I like having them to switch with my walking shoes. I once heard that they were designed for standing more than for walking, and that certainly agrees with my experience. I stand as I teach high school US History, and I can wear them to school, when they match and look cool, of course!

As a veteran of too many to count, may even be past 20 at this point, knee surgeries, I second your comment. My knees do not bother me nearly as much when I wear these. I agree with what others say, they are ugly as sin...but to not have that horrid pain 24/7 is a blessing. DH even gave me a pair of the ugly black fleece lined ones for Christmas...I have worn them nearly every day since, yes to work
! I don't even care anymore because I do love them. The only thing I do not do is put the straps on the back, I wear them like clogs.
Seriously even the foot doctor recommended I get them for my DH and he himself wears them all the time. I have back problems and never found the crocs to aggervate it. I did wear low cut socks last year with them and plan on doing the same this year. When it rains I just take the socks off and put them back on when it stops and watch all those poor people with wet feet walking around,
