Your final verdict on crocs?

My DH and I both have the "real" Crocs - he wore his all day every day in the parks and was perfectly comfortable. I developed lower back pain wearing them for that many hours and had to buy some nikes (I had only brought the Crocs ;-( So now I bring the Crocs to wear around my room or to the pool, and other walking shoes for the parks.

Everyone is different. My advice would be, just make sure to bring an alternative pair of shoes in case the Crocs give you problems!

Ditto! I don't wear the Crocs for walking long distances but for spending a few hours in a park and standing in line, they are great! I like having them to switch with my walking shoes. I once heard that they were designed for standing more than for walking, and that certainly agrees with my experience. I stand as I teach high school US History, and I can wear them to school, when they match and look cool, of course! :rotfl:

I just got 3 new pair for my birthday today! :woohoo:

My whole family loves them and wouldn't go to Disney without them. We wear low cut cotton socks with ours (same color as our Crocs), and we've never gotten blisters. We go to the parks from open to close in the heat of June. Crocs are great because they are comfy and cool. :thumbsup2

(I had an ACL reconstruction a few years ago. They are also the only shoes that don't make my knee hurt.)

I guess my feet are too small for them, because they slide around inside like crazy! I don't like them, they're just too big which makes them uncomfortable. Btw, I don't think they're that ugly.

Happy Birthday :cake: :bday: As a veteran of too many to count, may even be past 20 at this point, knee surgeries, I second your comment. My knees do not bother me nearly as much when I wear these. I agree with what others say, they are ugly as sin...but to not have that horrid pain 24/7 is a blessing. DH even gave me a pair of the ugly black fleece lined ones for Christmas...I have worn them nearly every day since, yes to work:scared1: ! I don't even care anymore because I do love them. The only thing I do not do is put the straps on the back, I wear them like clogs.:goodvibes

BEST SHOES EVER! I am a nurse and I wear them for 12 hours at a time and never have tired feet or legs. I went to Florida for the first time last year. I wore them to the Universal, Seaworld, and Busch Gardens parks- all day. My feet never hurt, while my sister who wore trainers, got blisters. This year I may try some of the new styles. By the way, the ones I have are the Mary Janes.

Love love love my Crocs; I wear them every day; I use different styles based on the situation. Funnily enough, I started to get a blister at WDW; I put on the low profile socks and they were fine the rest of the trip; same for my kids; and DH who was planning to wear walking shoes ended up changing the third day too.

There had never been a time that we went to Disney when my feet didn't absolutely kill me............that is til I wore Crocs! Some styles are ugly and some are nice....either way...they are the best thing since sliced bread for Disney. Even DH has taken to wearing them in the parks :goodvibes

I have the real things. They are great for standing on your feet for long periods of time but not so much for walking. I have narrow feet and skinny ankles so I wobble around in them too much. I tried wearing them at the parks on our last trip and at the end of the day my feet and legs were so swollen I could barely walk. Just not enough ankle or arch support for me.

I would have never worn them, but after 3 days in WDW last year I went to a gift shop and bought a cheap pair. I loved them! I didn't want to buy the disney ones because I knew I would never wear them at home, but I do find myself wearing them outside in the yard. I never felt silly wearing them at WDW though, I fit right in!

Bought my 3rd pair of Croc flip flops today for April's trip to WDW. DD bought me the wooly Crocs for Christmas & I wore them to WDW in January and was in heaven. No achey back or feet!! Tried several pairs of Croc sandals on today, but just couldn't make up my mind. Might have to try a different store to see the different styles before the trip as I'd like one closed in pair that I might be able to wear to work. :goodvibes

I love Crocs and have several pairs. This is all my kids wear too. I prefer to wear the sandals myself but also have the regular ones. I have been wearing them on about 5 or 6 disney trips now and my feet have never hurt and my kids have never complained either. We never wear socks with them either (I always take them for the kids in case they ask for them though).

We are leaving in about 45 minutes or so and everyone has their crocs packed and ready to go. Actually we are wearing them in the car for the ride down. DH bought some new tennis shoes but I think he is going to end up wearing his crocs most of the time. I will probably get a new pair while we are there-looking for the black Mickey ones.

I LOVE Crocs, even though I think they are ugly! However, I have suffered from back pain due to arthritis and scoliosis, and wearing Crocs has ended my back problems. I wore the flip flop style on my last trip to WDW, and had no problems. I had a small blister form, but with that much walking, it's pretty hard to avoid all problems. I did NOT wear the traditional style of Crocs at Disney, just the flip flop style.

I LOVE my Crocs sooooo much! I have four pairs of them. They are so GREAT that I hardly ever wear any other kind of shoe (except my Converse Chucks....I have 15 pairs of those!):thumbsup2

I have the Crocs sandals, Cleo model. I wore them last summer exclusively and never had a moments problem. They were especially great when brief rain showers popped up. Even when they got wet, they dried so quickly and my feet never felt soggy. I plan to wear them on our trip again this year!

I have to say my kids wear the normal Crocs, and I just can't bring myself to wear those! Not that the Cleos are fashion forward, but they are very low profile. It's almost like you're not wearing shoes at all.

I love my crocs! On our last trip I wore crocs and dh wore his sneakers, one were Jordan's and the other was just regular Nikes. His feet were killing him but he refused to get crocs...that is until the last day. He slipped his feet in some crocs and they immediately stopped hurting and now he has 3 pairs! They're only shoes I'll be wearing when I go down next week.

DH brought a pair and raved about them. I refuse cause they were ugly and bulky. Last year I broke down and bought a pair and sing their praises to anyone who will listen! We are pooh sized and crocs make it possible for us to enjoy the parks pain free. I do wear socks with mine and carry moleskin though I haven't had to use it yet. I also wear Tevas too. They both go with me whenever I know I'm going to do a lot of walking. Best of all they don't smell! The material they are made of is not porous so they stay odor free! Another bonus!

Bought my crocs (real ones) on my way to Disney last year. Haven't had them off since unless the snow was to deep :lmao: Seriously even the foot doctor recommended I get them for my DH and he himself wears them all the time. I have back problems and never found the crocs to aggervate it. I did wear low cut socks last year with them and plan on doing the same this year. When it rains I just take the socks off and put them back on when it stops and watch all those poor people with wet feet walking around,

I guess my feet are too small for them, because they slide around inside like crazy! I don't like them, they're just too big which makes them uncomfortable. Btw, I don't think they're that ugly.

Try getting a child size pair then. DW couldn't find regular (read: adult) crocs that fit right, so she wouldn't buy them. That is until we got to WDW.

I have always battled back issues and feet issues (extremely flat feet!) and my crocs are a god-send. DW didn't want a pair until she saw the Mickey ones - now she is hooked!

I have not heard about the Mexico vs. China ones, but that is a very interesting theory on quality.

I love my crocs. I got them for my WDW trip last year and wore them almost everyday. Wore them again for DL trip in November. DS wore his POTC crocs at both places also. We wear our crocs everyday still. I just got both DS's Cars crocs and DD some minnie janes. I will be getting me some minnie janes before our next trip.
