Your final verdict on crocs?

I guess my feet are too small for them, because they slide around inside like crazy! I don't like them, they're just too big which makes them uncomfortable. Btw, I don't think they're that ugly.

So I have that problem with one pair of mine. I wear them still, but they are much more comfy with socks. I wear them at work (waitressing). I found a couple pairs of Airwalks at Payless and they are a slightly different style. They are called their "Mary Janes", but unlike Crocs "mary Janes. they still don't have a back, just a strap over the top of your foot instead of around the back. The big advantage for me and DD is that they are narrow, and so even without socks, my feet don't slosh around in them. I did have to go one size LONGER in them than Crocs or regular Airwalks.

We love them! We all got a pair lastb year before our disney vacation and wore them most of the week . The only one that had any blisters/foot irritation was my husband - and it was at the end of the week - and I think it might have happened with any shoes.
With the regular crocs the top of the shoe starts to bug me - by sticking to the top of my foot or hitting it there etc. But I have never had any problems with the mary jane style ones. I love them - I loved them for disney and I loved them the whole rest of the summer. I bought myself a new color and my daughter the next size up yesterday at shoebuy. I was sent an email for $10 off - and went through ebates and hers costs me $13.90 and mine were $18

I alternated my crocs with tennis shoes and had no problems. First trip ever with no problems.

I still remember my first trip back to the world as an adult and on just the second day, literally whimpering, hobbled from World Showcase to the entrance b/c I couldn't stand the thought of even one more hour on my feet. This was in Nikes that had never given me trouble before. Plus, I remember how HOT and heavy (not that way ;) ) my feet felt all the time.

Second trip was my Croc Beach clown-shoe trip. Was I tired? Were my legs sore? Were my feet sore? Of course. But they were just normal, been walking all day tired. It didn't feel like the soles of my feet were bruised at the end of the day. Standing up first thing in the morning wasn't excruciating. And I didn't start the day already sore.

Now DH LIVES in his tennis shoes -- unlike me, he doesn't find them stiflingly hot and they don't feel like weights on his feet. I couldn't get him to buy Crocs until he broke his pinky toe and wouldn't go to the Dr. He went for a week almost falling over in pain everytime he stepped wrong, so I told him I would go see that shoot 'em up movie he wanted to see if he would buy some Crocs. Voila, no foot pain anymore! HOWEVER, this is what he had to say about wearing Crocs at WDW: his feet and legs hurt a lot less, and he felt cooler overall, but his lower back hurt more. So he alternated the days he wore Crocs and tennis shoes.

For the record, we both find that Beaches feel cushier than Caymans. And while I love, love the Mary Janes, for me I find they are better than tennis shoes, but not better than the clunkier shoes for the long haul touring.

Crocs are the ONLY shoes that are on my feet - unless of course I am dressing up. I try to avoid that however - cause I can't get away with wearing crocs dressed up. ;) I am a woman who HATES shoes and I love love love my crocs.

And for those of you that think they are ugly - have you checked the crocs website lately? TONS of new styles - not just the typical clog style you think of when the word croc is mentioned.

My theory is that the people who say they're uncomfortable went and bought the cheap crocs in the stores rather than buying the real thing. But I wouldn't mind some opinions on the subject.

I have REAL crocs, my sister gave them to me for my nursing school graduation. I wore them one day for 12.5 hours, and they were so uncomfortable, my shins hurt for a week. For me, they just don't provide enough support in the arch. They were very nice on my feet, no blisters at all, felt cushiony, but my poor legs! I have a great pair of NorthFace sandals that I love and my New Balance sneakers work, too, AND I'm considering bringing my NurseMates.

No matter what shoes you wear, make sure they are comfortable for walking BEFORE you attempt to do WDW in them!

Just spent a full week at WDW in nothing but my Crocs :thumbsup2 No problems and very comfortable walking everywhere. Also wore them in the pool, great pool shoes. Love my Crocs :lovestruc

I have two pairs of 'real' Croc's and I love them. They go on first thing in the am and are the last thing off at night. They're so comfortable. I also love that I can hose them off and drip dry in a very short amount of time. I love that when I walk out into the yard my Croc's don't pick up all of the grass that the t-shoes do. I've also walked for several miles on a gravel walking track.....but.....

I wore them on my last trip in December and my feet hurt, I mean, "thought my toes were going to fall off" hurt. I wore them from 5 in the morning until 10 pm at night. Severe pain. Switched to my 'New Balance' for the rest of my trip without the problems.

I still wear my Croc's around the house but I'll do Disney in my t-shoes.

Crocs rule! I have worn them on our last 4-5 trips as have both DDs. DH finally broke down and tried a pair on the last trip, he loved them and even admitted it! ;) We will all have them on in May when we go back.

I have two pair Crocs Athens Flip Flops! Nothing better, or more comfortable!!! Wear them and break them in (any shoe for that matter) before walking forever in Disney, unless you buy Body Glide to wear with them. My knees ache in anything I wear, but I never had a problem with these flip flops! Wonderful, comfortabe shoes!:thumbsup2
