You just lost 80 pounds! What are you Going to do next? Ending TR

 Gaaawrsh! You are so sweet. Speaking of NCIS, I guess Ziva is leaving this season. :sad1: My hubby and Mackie like this show too.

Yes, not a fan of the foods you described either. :worried: And salads, I have to be in a salad phase before I can eat them, other wise I'm gagging every bite I take. How weird is that?!? :confused3

Hopefully you'll take this in the spirit it's meant in.....Bob, you're gonna have to stop making fun of yourself now, you are a handsome guy! I'm for certain your wife will agree on this! :)
You aren't a goofy looking guy at all, you may act like one, but you are no chopped liver and since you put all this work into making yourself look and feel better, start owning it, dude!! ::yes:: :cheer2:
You don't have to start carrying your own soundtrack with "I'm too sexy.." playing or anything, but owning your hard work would be good! :rotfl:

Awwhh shucks... Thank you. ;)

That's so awesome that you met up with Jill! Sometimes you just have to go with a craving.

The Carsland section looks so fun.

I loved Bob's and your inspiring stories. I tell ya, there are others out here that read and are truly motivated from real life experience. I started running in 2009 and lost 33 pounds. I do allow myself vacation eating knowing that I'll be back to eating healthy and running when I get home. (Uh, not this time since I busted my ankle when we got home.)

Is it a weight watcher saying that says 'nothing tastes as good as thin feels?' I still have to remind myself of that ....

Sorry your dinner was less than stellar, but at least you got to hand out with Jill! :thumbsup2 Sometimes it hard to find something healthy to eat at the QS places or any FF places for that matter. It's frustrating at times when you are trying to eat healthy.

I love your night pictures. AoA is just so cute. so much to see. I would really like to go back and visit again. :thumbsup2

caught my attention since I have currently lost 49 pounds -
and want more off.:goodvibes
(my weight loss journey starts about 1/2 way on page 5 on my upcoming San Fran, Rose Bowl, etc TR that is listed in my below listed signature).

P.S.
OMG!!! I am only up to post #30 & am TOTALLY HOOKED!! I am sooooooooooo proud of you on your weight loss. CONGRATS!!

AND.....
2)now I am up to #40......OMG!! U gave me an idea - take a picture of what my airline sealt/lap belt looks like on me after I sit down!! OHHH I am sooooooooooooooooo looking forward to my airline flight to SO CAL..............t-minus 104 more days but who is counting?? :lmao:

Ugh. Sorry the food court meal wasn't any better. I really enjoyed the short tour of the Cars area, though. The resort looks like it's a lot of fun.

Looking forward to the parks!

You are not the first one that I've heard complain about the AoA food court. It sounds like it's lacking in the "I really want to try that" category. When we walked through the food court area on our last trip, the entire food court looked dirty and messy...especially the garbage cans. Yuck!

I'm not either. I hated when Kate was killed off. But I have to admit that Ziva was awesome. Gonna miss her on the show. :(

Agreed, I love her spunk.

From my understanding they are not going to kill her off... But I am curious how they are going to do it. I hope it is not going to be a tear jerker like they are saying. If it is I may have to go into my "man cave" and watch it all alone. I don't want to lose my man card over being caught with a tear in my eye over a tv show. :lmao::rotfl2:

Oh that's good to know, I hate it when they kill people off.
:rotfl: Loss of man card. You crack me up!

My understanding is she chose to leave show. I also watch Criminal Minds. I was devastated when Prentiss left and still do not like her replacement

That's what I understood too. I figure she's a Latina, woman actress still in her young thirties, she's bound to have prospects other than this show.

Awwhh shucks... Thank you. ;)

Bashful_OK_214572K6a.jpg

Sure thing! :) No more putting yourself down, it's not allowed by anyone in my thread. :3dglasses We have to own who we are, there is something beautiful inside and out with each and everyone one of us. :thumbsup2

That's so awesome that you met up with Jill! Sometimes you just have to go with a craving.

It was a great meet, she's such a nice gal. :)

The Carsland section looks so fun.

It is, and I think it's best at night. :goodvibes

Awww, thank you Brenda! And I hope there are people motivated by our stories (and anyone else's as well), it's a huge reason why I've posted about it. I was motivated by someone's story and hope someone will be motivated by mine. I think what I love about these types of stories is, we didn't do anything unrealistic, we just did for ourselves what anyone else can do. ::yes:: :thumbsup2 Although I will say....a lot of people think there is an easy way to do this, there isn't. There are no magic pills, or alternatives that will do this for you and have it come out a healthy situation in the end. :sad2: The only way I've seen a weight loss situation come out good in the end is doing it the old fashion way (and in my opinion the only good/healthy way), learning to eat healthy for your body, and to move your butt!!

I'm so proud of you for losing those 33 lbs., Brenda!! And I sure hope your ankle heals quickly, is it truly broke or sprung really badly?

Is it a weight watcher saying that says 'nothing tastes as good as thin feels?' I still have to remind myself of that ....

Not sure who said it, but it's soooo true. I certainly used that a few times during my weak moments when I wanted something I shouldn't have. It helped too, that and saying...."No! You don't want that right now, you can splurge when you get to Disney." It totally worked too! I think someone else on here said they used that same line on themselves. :thumbsup2

:thumbsup2

Thank you, Mary Ellen. Like I said, if the dinner was the worst thing that happened on this trip then I was doing just fine! :thumbsup2 And yes, we got to hang with Jill, she's a great gal, very smart.
Not to sound like I'm complaining, but I'm finding that it's almost impossible to eat the way I'm use to eating at home, out. No matter if I'm in Disney World or at a restaurant here in Austin. Just part of it and I know that upfront and don't have a problem eating at home 99.9% of the time. I think once I'm at my goal weight I'll feel a little less uptight about it, but until then I have to stay on my toes more than ever. (this is something that I'm realizing as I started to relax over the summer and gained a little bit of the weight back) I know I'll be able to do that more once I reached my goal, but at least then I it can be a little less rigorous.

Bob said something to me concerning his status now that he's reached his weight loss goal, and it hit home for me how my mind set is going to have to shift now that I'm closer to my goal, I was very upset with myself for gaining some weight over the summer, something I've not done since I started this journey (beating myself up that is) and when Bob (goofy4prez) mentioned something in his story, it clicked for me. I had to shift into a different mind set about how I need to view my food and journey once I'm done losing the weight, and, I can gain it back in a very short amount of time if I'm not careful to keep that mindset. I realize this all sounds like a duh moment, but when you have your mind set on one thing for a long while, it's sometimes hard to make the transition to the next phase.
This is a prime reason to have others you can account to, especially with those who are where you are or a bit ahead. It gives you perspective on what you'll need to do to make the switches you'll need to make and to help you wrap your mind around your success. Thank you Bob, you probably don't realize you did that for me, but I truly appreciate you telling me about your story so I can be successful too. :thumbsup2 You are the first person I've met who's lost a lot of weight, hit their goal and have worked hard to stay there. Hopefully we can cheer one another on and share our experiences so we can stay successful! :woohoo:

Hey there Mark! :) Eh! What are you gonna do, it's a food court.
And the tour wasn't so short, I just spared y'all of all the pictures thinking you've seen them before so why plague you with the same stuff all over again. :rotfl: Not to mention the pics didn't turn out the best. :upsidedow

You are not the first one that I've heard complain about the AoA food court. It sounds like it's lacking in the "I really want to try that" category. When we walked through the food court area on our last trip, the entire food court looked dirty and messy...especially the garbage cans. Yuck!

Yes, you are right. I actually found Pop's food court to be much cleaner and had an over all better feel, which was a bit disappointing for us. I really expected there to be something better than what we saw considering it was a brand new resort. Oh well! Live and learn. Although, I will say.....their gift shop was pretty good! I hate to complain without giving a compliment where it's warranted. :thumbsup2

I have been a lurker on these boards for about 15 years now believe it or not. My family and I love Disney and I absolutely love reading trip reports! I have never been compelled in all these years to post myself since I am a listener rather than a talker, but something in your story touched me deeply. Other than the weight-loss struggle, Camille, I feel like we are the same person lol. Anyway because I'm sure this doesn't make much sense, I wanted to PM you regarding your weight-loss struggles and successes, but when I tried it said I had to have, I believe 10 posts. Since what I wanted to share does not relate here I was wondering if you would pm me. I have the same faith system as you and the same personality LOL. I am real, cant stand drama or bs. I just speak from the heart and there is something I thought you might be interested in hearing about. I understand if you're reluctant and think I'm crazy. If that is the case, I just want to say hi to all of you because after being a lurker all these years I feel like I know most of you!:goodvibes

I had to get all caught up. It's the price you pay when you fall behind on the DIS and sub to too many TR's......;)

You telling Mackie about not bringing her swimsuit along in her carryon is exactly what my Mom would have said to me. Almost like "child....I can't help you!"

It really does change a lot for you when you make a huge change to your eating habits, doesn't it?

Awww, that Merida towel is awesome!

Tye die cheesecake does make for an interesting outcome. :lmao:

Can't wait to hear about Mandara Spa. Mom and I went to the Mandara Spa that was at the Grand Californian a few years ago.

I'm sorry to hear about your Grandfather. 96 years is a good long life for sure.

Hahahaha. "Mama, what do you think this is?" That's just insanely hysterical.

You got the Bailey's Ice Cream shake, didn't you? That's what it looks like to me!

Yay! On to the Magic Kingdom!!

Congrats on the weight loss... I hope you won't take this the wrong way coming from a guy, but you look fantastic. I have followed your trip reports for some time and love your restaurant reviews. :thumbsup2

As for running, I also run and love it. I'm just hoping that I can figure out a way to implement running during my Disney visits. I am an early riser but with rope drops and all, we shall see.

Camille, I am truly humbled by your kind words. While having only met you via a forum site and a private message, I am confident you will be successful in obtaining the goal you have set before you. I'm glad I was able to help out, but know this, you are an INSPIRATION to me as well!!! I can only hope that some day our paths will cross in our Disney travels. ;)

Ok, you guys are in danger of me wanting to hand out huge hugs!!! You guys are awesome and I'm so glad that you are sharing your stories because there ARE people who struggle with their weight issues no matter what the actual number is that fits into their goal.

Thanks Bob! It's not taken wrong at all. I appreciate your positive note.

4 years later I still have to remind the compulsive eater in me that 'one's too many and a thousand is not enough' for so many things. :)

Anyone who runs on vacation has my highest admiration. :worship: I'm too lazy since we stay up late and get up early. I just don't make it a priority until I'm home.

I can relate to this 100%!! I was in a "honeymoon" period when I first reached my goal weight. However, after enjoying that a little too much and slacking off and not changing my mind set quickly made me realize that this MUST be a lifelong journey with the goal of being healthy. Yes, I've still been too nervous to weigh myself after getting back from our trip but I realize once I can run again I should get back to my healthy place. :)

Thank you again for sharing your personal story. It is wonderful to be able to celebrate your success!! I realize I'm very new here but I'm so glad to be able to join in with you guys!!

You telling Mackie about not bringing her swimsuit along in her carryon is exactly what my Mom would have said to me. Almost like "child....I can't help you!"

Some probably thought I was being a mean mom. Oh well, it's life and she has to learn those things. :)

It really does change a lot for you when you make a huge change to your eating habits, doesn't it?

Yes, it does!!

Awww, that Merida towel is awesome!

I thought it was cute, she loved it so much she used it the whole trip.

You got the Bailey's Ice Cream shake, didn't you? That's what it looks like to me!

I'm pretty sure that's what it was! Ms. Kat seemed to think it was the same thing she normally gets. :)

Yay! On to the Magic Kingdom!!

:yay: Can't wait to share our first day!!

I'm laughing -- You got to your ten posts!

Love your updates, Millie, even if I don't post often. How have you been doing weight wise since returning from the world? I reached 85 before our April trip and have only lost 4 more since then even though I've been sticking to the plan. I thought it was a reasonable goal to be at 100 by the first day of fall, but instead I'm just shy of 90. Maybe I should never have tasted those Disney goodies (even though, when all was said and done, I didn't really enjoy them any way).

I started reading this thread as Camille motivated me so much, but now there seems to be a whole community of us in this weight loss thing together. I am down 35 now (I think it was 15 when I started reading along) and love that the group on this TR are sharing of themselves. Thanks Camille for being so welcoming and motivational.

Well, you helped more than you know so I wanted you to know how much and to show everyone else who's starting out/going through this experience, that it really does help to have others sharing their experiences. Sharing helps keep us on track and helps us through those tough spots, as you could see by my accounts early on in the TR, I had a few rough patches to overcome. And through that shared experience y'all can see you can hit rough patches and still come through it!!

Awwww, thank you Bob! I don't know what to say other than I certainly hope we get to meet in person some day too! :thumbsup2 In WDW of course, no better way to have a Dis meet than there!!

Ok, you guys are in danger of me wanting to hand out huge hugs!!! You guys are awesome and I'm so glad that you are sharing your stories because there ARE people who struggle with their weight issues no matter what the actual number is that fits into their goal.

I'd certainly take one of those hugs!! :goodvibes I'm glad everyone is sharing their stories here too, it's always good to have other perspectives when going through such a big life change. Not everyone's experience is going to be the same, so the more the merrier when it comes to people sharing on here, you just never know who you're gonna help!!! ::yes:: :thumbsup2

Thanks Bob! It's not taken wrong at all. I appreciate your positive note.

He's right, Brenda. You are absolutely beautiful, and you are helping me to stay on task so I can get into all those cute clothes like you! :lovestruc :goodvibes

4 years later I still have to remind the compulsive eater in me that 'one's too many and a thousand is not enough' for so many things. :)

Oh Lordy, do I ever understand that comment! When it comes to sugar I just have to say no or I'm in trouble for a long while after.

Anyone who runs on vacation has my highest admiration. :worship: I'm too lazy since we stay up late and get up early. I just don't make it a priority until I'm home.

Ditto! I can't run (want to but realized I can't-at least not if I don't want hip replacement surgery before I'm 50), but if I did I wouldn't be doing it on vacation, it's too hard getting up early and getting to bed kinda late as it is, I don't think I could add a workout in there. :sad2: Maybe if I were taking a really laid back vacation while I was there, that might be a different story.

I can relate to this 100%!! I was in a "honeymoon" period when I first reached my goal weight. However, after enjoying that a little too much and slacking off and not changing my mind set quickly made me realize that this MUST be a lifelong journey with the goal of being healthy. OMGosh!! "honeymoon phase", such a great way of putting it!! That totally sums up a lot of what I've been going through over the summer, that and some burn out. I just praise the Lord I've over come and come to my senses!
It really does pay off for everyone to share their experience here!! Even your few words on what you went through after you reached your goal helped me in a big way, it's helped me to realize I'm not going through something I can't get over, and to understand it's all apart of this process/journey. Thank you Brenda, thank you for posting on here and thank you for sharing your experiences. I appreciate you more than you'll ever know, and what a blessing you've been. :lovestruc So many of you have been such big blessings here!! Thank you, and keep sharing, everyone!! :goodvibes :thumbsup2

And just so you know, Brenda....I don't think of you as being new, I've seen you around the boards off and on for a few years, you were just a Dis sis I hadn't gotten the chance to know yet. :) And now we are, which I'm so, so happy about!! :goodvibes :lovestruc

Debbie, I'm so glad you are still reading along!! :goodvibes And congrats to you!!! That is so amazing you've hit your 89 lb. goal!!! :yay: Don't worry, you'll hit your 100 before you know it!! Sometimes it takes a little while to hit the next short term goal. And I hear ya on the Disney goodies, as much as I wanted to enjoy them, they didn't turn out to be as good as I remembered. :sad2: That's the tough and good part about learning to eat healthy, when you do taste certain things they just don't taste as good as you want them too, but then there are other things that taste way better than you want them too!

I started reading this thread as Camille motivated me so much, but now there seems to be a whole community of us in this weight loss thing together. Heidi, I'm just glad you are apart of this. :goodvibes We can all whip the fat right off of us, together!!

And congrats!! You are doing such a great job!!! :cheer2: Keep up the great work!! :thumbsup2

Sheesh Camille! I'm going to blame you tomorrow when I can't get my butt out of bed to go to the office - or rather my den (since I'm working from home until my ankle heals) anyhoo... reason being... I went back and started reading from the beginning and your TR was so compelling that I COULDN'T STOP reading! :faint: Yes, all 22 pages since I'll give myself credit for the last couple of pages when I seriously started to read along.

On page 8 I completely rejoiced in your fabulous reveal - the amazingness of what you accomplished is not lost on me knowing how hard this is!!

So sorry about your grandpa. Know that your future with him will be far more glorious than your past with him. I know you know what I mean about that great hope! :goodvibes

Oh my gosh! The hilarity from your spa time with the "products".... If only I had the nerve to share some of the zany stuff that Em and I have enjoyed but I try not to show the completely bonkers side of me that emerges sometimes.

What an awesome meet up with Jill!

Ok, I'm pretty much ready to fully participate now that I have a clue as to what this is all about. :thumbsup2

(Meant for a giggle)
If you could only choose 1 item.....
be it food or drink -

that you could eat OR DRINK as many / much as you want.....
AND NOT GAIN WEIGHT
which one would it be ONCE YOU pass from this great Earth?

Mine would be to have ALL plain m&m's be declared fat free.:thumbsup2
