:bounce:Wow!! I love it when that happens!!

I picked up some incredible finds at garage sales this weekend also, can't wait to see what they'll get!!

I put up 27 items last night and sold SEVEN today on Buy It Now!! I'm working on a big time moving sale because I'm moving in about a month... hopefully!

Oh, I have a PayPal Debit card question:

I got it because of the 1.5% you guys said you get back on credit transactions. On the site it says it's only if I accept ONLY PayPal for payment. Is that what you all do??? Or are they just trying to make me sign up for that?

Anyone know?

Robin, I think it's that PayPal has to be the only electronic form of payment you accept. Money orders and checks are ok. *I think* I've been doing that for several months w/ the PP debit card w/o any problems.

:bounce: Way to go C.Ann! :Pinkbounc
I have an item up now that I started at $1 which is going for $208 and change. Apparently it's rare and out of circulation   It seriously amazes me what some people will pay for certain things!

Also - did you guys know that old boyscout/girl scout items sell? The older the better. Who woulda thought?!

Lori

Oh! In my excitement over C.Ann's post, I forgot ~ we've got a Disney/Universal Studios Character Warehouse outlet coming to NJ (temporary for 2 months!) I can't wait to go shopping for eBay stuff! :p The ad said up to 80% off retail!

Lori

Oooh, good deal, Lori! The Character warehouse stuff is great. I have a bunch of Christmas stuff from there that I'm holding - hope it does well.

Robin, regarding the PayPal 1.5% cash back, yes, I do that, too, and it's like Lori said - you need to just offer that exclusively for online payments - i.e. no C2it or BidPay (if that is even still out there)... but M.O.s and cert Checks are OK to accept.

Thanks, lori and Mrs. Snowgod. Nooooow I get it!

I really love having this card! I used to sweep out the amount to my savings acct which used to take about 4 days, now I can use it for the PO and stuff the same day! Great deal!

I still take most out (just to be safe) but I also use it for the PO - and any other strictly eBay related expenses.. Makes it nice and easy to keep track that way - and why not earn some money BACK - right?? ;)

Have been reading up but haven't checked into class and posted in a while! Just wanted to add my good fortune this past week. Had two items sell real well.......one started at $19.99 and sold for $73.00 and one started at $35.00 and sold for $91.01!! Not too shabby!! Glad to see alot of you are having the same luck!!

Lori......where is the warehouse opening in NJ? I'm in Central Jersey and would definitely love to take a ride there!

Sidenote: I'm having gallbladder surgery on Monday (2weeks before my trip).....if you don't mind, please keep me in your prayers that all goes well and I'm back to my old self by my trip.....my doctor assures me I will be (it's lazer surgery and he says the recovery shouldn't be bad at all!) Hey, I made it through 2 C-Sections OK so I'm hoping this will be a breeze!! Thanks in advance!!

Much easier than c-sections..and if you want to gross out your kids..ask them to save the stones for you. Usually it's same day release, but I got to stay over (I never wake up well from anesthetic...little do they know I'm faking for the vacation!).

You end up with these 5 neat holes (they use the laser to break up the stones and bring the whole thing throught the tiniest hole!) that sort of disappear.

Thoughts and prayers are with you!!

(Hmm..wonder if these stomes would sell well on eBay?)

I've been told I only have one stone BUT it's a big one!! That should bring in a GOOD AMOUNT!!! Thanks so much for the laugh, DM Rick!! I needed that!!

Christine, all my good thoughts are with you... if you have the sense of humor to do it, you really should list the stone and see what happens. Wouldn't it be funny if it ended up buying your family a character meal!

Christine - please don't be offended if I don't bid on that stone..................

:p :p :p

Jersey Gardens Mall in Elizabeth, NJ. It's 13A off the NJ Turnpike. It's there now and will be there until sometime in September. The ad says it's across from DSW shoe warehouse. In the Union County edition of the Star Ledger this past Sunday was an ad and a coupon for an additional 10% off. I'm headed there on Saturday. If I see someone else loaded down with multiples of the same item, I'll know it's you ;)

I will definitely keep you in my prayers for a speedy recovery!

Glad some of you are having a good week. Mine hasn't done really well this week, a lot of stuff didn't even get one bid. If you have something that hasn't sold in 2 listings, do you put it up again?

Also, those of you that sell clothing, are you starting to list for back to school???

If it doesn't sell on a relisting I either group it with a "like" item to list again - or put it away for a month or two and then list it again..

Don't forget "back-to-school" is already starting in some parts of the country.. Not all schools coincide with the northeast school schedule..

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

my2boys... You are going to put a reserve on the stone when you list it - right? ;)

All kidding aside, I'll keep you in my prayers and hope for a very speedy recovery for you...

Okay I am stumped...Is anyone else getting this when trying to relist??

Every time I try to list items I get a warning at the bottom of the review/sub,it page that states

"Your listing appears to violate eBay’s policy regarding Want Ads and Trades.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

eBay policy prohibits listings which advertise a desire to buy or trade items. Common examples of violations of this policy include:

“Will consider trades for this item.”
“Trades welcome”

Please review your listing to make sure that it does not violate this policy.
"

Why I am stumped is...1)this has already been up and is being RELISTED and 2) here is what my listing says

"NIB!!!Personal Expressions Memory Foam Spa Slippers

The heat-sensitive, visco-elastic material tucked inside these soft velour slippers works wonders on your feet.
NASA-developed memory foam responds to your body heat and weight, naturally adjusting to cushion your foot with every step.
The velour adds a touch of class and elegance and the waterproof, skid-resistant sole offers added safety. First, astronauts in space benefited and now you! Enjoy out of this world comfort at home. Comes in three sizes (MENS S(8-9.5), M(10-11.5), L(12+) ) . Each set is individually boxed."

This is not the only listing I am getting this message on either!!
I am afraid to list if there is a problem I don't want my listing removed.

Any ideas?

So am I the only one getting this??? HEEEEELLLLLLPPPP!!

Question for all you experts out there. After reading this post I jumped in and have been doing all right. My question is I had an item that they buyer received Monday she e-mailed me and said everything was great and to let her know if I ever got similar items. I iimediately did feedback for her but as of yet she hasn't given me any. How would you handle this? As a new seller I'm kinda anxious to get possitive feedbacks so I can use the BIN option. Any suggestions or words of encouragemnt?

i totally understand! if she is a new buyer, you might want to send her an email saying "would you mind leaving me some feedback on our recent transaction? i am a new seller and would like some feedback from you as to how the transaction worked out for you." i have done this in earlier days and buyers are usually quite accommodating. now, every time i ship an item, i send the buyer an email saying that I've shipped the item, and have left them positive feedback - could they do the same when they receive the item. Usually this is no problem at all for them.

Good luck!
